Found this place by Google Map search and/or Yelp as I didn't want to take my phone to Verizon (why…read moreI'm not sure now). A couple months later, fairly sure that wasn't the better decision. To be fair, I messed up my HTC10 somehow; I think moderately wet hands cause my screen to start not registering touches in vertical bar patterns. After dealing with this for a few months and it not getting any better, I thought maybe just the screen needed to be replaced. Again, to be fair it's possible more needed to be replaced. So I went in and asked about a screen replacement and noted my general problem. I was more led down the line of how much my phone was still worth almost as if to say if I wanted to sell it, though ultimately noting that it was worth repairing. I put down the first half of the cost and came back a couple days later after the part was ordered online from a random supplier of phone parts. An hour or so later I came back with my phone all put back together, paid the rest of the cost and went on my way. Over the next day or so the "new" screen started to have some dead spots and continually got worse over the next few months until now where it's pretty much useless. Again, it's possible something else in the screen was damaged and a new screen just put a band-aid on it. However, I don't believe it was well repaired as over the last couple of months when a spot or section went bad, some good jiggling or tapping of the phone would get it working again. As well, even from the start, the "home" button in the bottom center was not well placed back in and was offset from where it should be. Also noticed I was fairly easily able to slide in a business card or thin paper between the screen and metal body to try to reseat the "home" button. So, the repair didn't come back looking like new and to me wasn't a good quality repair. It might be more of my issue, but I struggled to stop by this place with the way the hours are set and ran out of my 14 days from repair to take it back in at no cost (at least according to the receipt). I called once in there and left a message only to never have it returned, I could have been more persistent, but I don't have time for that. I only give a 2nd star here as at least the work is done in house and with decent looking equipment. Maybe it was just that I had an off phone (I think HTC10s aren't too popular) so if you've got an iPhone or an easier repair it'll work for you. But for me, it didn't work and I don't think the quality of the work was very good.

I just bought some stuff online for the holiday sale season and thought I'd stop in to pick up an…read moreitem in person. Maybe look around to see if there was any other deal to be had. How bad could it be? The answer is pretty dire. The parking lot was a nightmare, as this store is at the end of a row of stores with pedestrians aimlessly milling at their own pace through the single road to get there. Walking into the store, it was cavernous but really rather empty. Some of the carpet was messy, particularly remarkable when you consider the horde of Roombas and other similar devices that are in stock here; apparently they don't have one of their own. I had a few theoretical tech needs but couldn't find anything to meet them in stock. But whatever, I went to pick up the one thing I'd already bought. I opened my pickup email, and clicked a link. It told me to go to the checkout line. The checkout line was painfully slow, with a few people talking endlessly, in part about the store's rewards program and in part about other needlessly complex minutiae of their transaction. When the line in front of me didn't move for ten minutes and the other one did, I hopped over, but a *store employee* cut in front of me in order to use his employee discount to buy a bag of chips. Slowly. While chatting it up. Only after that did I actually get any service, at which point I was told that the line for pickup was a customer service desk elsewhere that wasn't immediately obvious. And only after another wait did I finally receive the singular item I came for and get the hell out of there. If this experience was supposed to compete with online shopping, this industry won't be around much longer.

He stated that they don't answer the phone if they're with a customer. I said I called for 4 days in a row and no one answered. The manager basically got upset & threatened to call the police because I told him that from MY experience no one answers the phone. The police... really.. I never threatened harm to him or anyone. Why call the police. As a long long time customer, I didn't deserve to be treated with such disrespect. I've never heard of a phone co not answering there phone, what happened to being put on hold, or a call bk. No I wldnt recommend there services. I'm leaving Tmobile but Regardless of the outcome of this situation, I really hope they start answering the phone, which I'm sure they will temporarily, because they been called out on it.

Yet after much research, visiting stores, and questioning employees of the different stores, I ran into one where I found someone I could trust. The store was the T-Mobile store at Towers Shopping Center in Roanoke, Virginia. The employee was a very knowledgeable yet down to earth young man named Brady. After just coming out of another store where the employee was preasuring me to buy their most expensive plan without first seeing what my needs were and helping me find the plan that would best fit me and save me money, of which I walked out of there never expecting to return. I decided to go in another Cellular phone store near by. This is where I was greeted by Brady with a smile. He listened to my bad experiences with Cellular phone companies from the past and to what I was looking for and needed. I already had done my homework into the five best Cellular companies around and all they had to offer. But I had waited until now because it was the time of Black Friday deals. Brady showed me the phone I was interested in, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. Let me hold it in my hands and try it out for fit. Explained the different plans available for me and told me that in a few days he'll know of the Black Friday deals. I told him that I would return and he said that he'd hold the phone I liked so it would be available when I returned. When I returned the following week, the week of Black Friday, he helped me find the best deal for me, helped me transfer my telephone number to this new phone, and had everything set up quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend this place and this employee to all those looking to purchase a cellular phone with a reliable and trustworthy company. As I was in the Towers Shopping Center today and passed by to say hello, I found out that he had been promoted to Store Manager. What a pleasant surprise.

The Tech Exchange - A dsi that I bought. Comes with stock system, but I later jailbroke it myself.

Needless to say after going through the cross-country USPS gauntlet the console arrived DOA. Whoever handles their eBay account was completely unapologetic about it when I contacted them about the issue. They did offer a refund, but the guy I dealt with was a total jerk about it. When I asked if he'd be cool with getting a piece of vintage gear shipped to him packed like that, his response was "I'm not the kind of person to let little things bother me. Let me know if you want to return it, otherwise, please don't contact me with silly questions again. Thanks." When I told him I'd let the Atari collecting community know about his attitude, his response was "Haha, shouldn't be too big of a community. I'm sorry you are so upset, but it is what it is." I find this contempt for their customers appalling and won't be a return customer. UPDATE: So (ignoring the Tech Exchange moron's utterly stupid advice to return the thing using the same horrible packing materials they sent it in) I packed the broken console up securely using proper packing materials- lots of bubble wrap and packing peanuts, securely enclosed in a big sturdy box. You could throw that thing off a cliff and it'd be fine. Got a message from eBay today. Apparently the Tech Exchange opened a case with eBay and tried (unsuccessfully) to weasel out of giving me a refund by claiming that they received it "in different condition than how it was shipped". Nice try but no dice: I shipped it back in the exact condition I got it. News flash: ship electronics with zero padding and a box that's way too small and chances are excellent that it'll *break* before it arrives at the buyer's address. Case closed. eBay denied the Tech Exchange idiot's pathetic and *dishonest* claim and refunded my money. The Tech Exchange now has at least one less customer and another bit of bad feedback on their eBay profile. Buyer beware.
