I went to the shop having done little research myself on plans and different deals but had the great opportunity to run into Darrius to help me. When I arrived at Verizon to acquire a new phone this afternoon, I was deeply impressed by my entire experience, from start to finish. I was met with smiles, kindness, and compassion. Johnny was incredibly helpful, patient and understanding. He never made me feel like an inconvenience, despite my endless questions and mental exhaustion. He worked to get me the best deal I could have, and he even got me a box of tissues when I was a blubbering mess I highly recommend Johnny and the Plattsburgh Verizon store for all of your needs, I truly could not have had a better experience. My husband and I went to the store today. We have been trying to get my account switched over from my father's to my husband's. This has been quite the struggle. I have spent over 6 hours on the phone trying to only be told we will put a note on it for someone to look and give you a call back (never received that call). So we figured maybe the store would be able to help us. From the moment we walked into the store the man who was helping us was so condescending and rude. When I started to get frustrated by fact I would need to end up paying for my phone because the promo would get called out, he proceeded to ask me how much my time is worth and divide what I would have to pay for my phone into the hours I would have to put into getting this all straightened out. He was so incredibly rude and unhelpful we ended up walking out. I cannot believe how we were treated after all the money we spend at Verizon. read more

Verizon might not be perfect overall, but the Plattsburgh Verizon store is about as good as they come. On Thursday, I went to pick up a jetpack. (We're without cable internet at our house for a week.) The rep was knowledgeable and friendly, and I was out the door within 15 minutes. (Contrast that with the AT&T store, which I was at just before this Verizon store, where I spent 45 and got nothing done.) Today, I went to switch my iPad from AT&T to Verizon. There was a line, but they took a callback number so I can wait (warmly) in my car. Once it was my turn, I was again out within 15 minutes. (Contrast that with my call to AT&T later today, where it took thirty minutes to get someone to tell me the automated system sent me to the wrong person, and an hour total for AT&T to tell me they couldn't help me today.) Again, is Verizon perfect? No. But this store is leagues better than the Plattsburgh AT&T store. read more

I went in at 5:50 pm to get a question I had answered. A skinny, young male associate asks me how he can help. I tell him I have a quick question about the app. He then tells me "Well, we close in 10 minutes, so you'll need to make an appointment for tomorrow." So I then tried to show him what was going on and he then said "I don't really know man. Why don't you just make an appointment tomorrow?" What kind of terrible customer service is this? It would've taken him less time to help me then push me away. Thankfully when I got home I called Verizon customer service and gave a sale to Fernando who was very nice. Won't go back to that store again. read more

I just had a very bad experience with Gretchen the Manager at the Walmart plaza. When I first walked in and asked to speak to the Manager she started with an attitude. I tried explaining my problem and instead of her being quiet and having a little patience to listen to me she immediately started talking over me and pretty much treated me like a child. I explained that my husband and I have been a customer of theirs for several years and have always paid our bills on time. I tried to tell her what happened and she tried to twist everything I said. Basically she did not care and was not about to help me or even address the problem. Without going into detail I told her since she was so unprofessional, loud and discourteous that I would take my problem to the Attorney Generals office and apparently that did not matter to her. There was a lady behind her that kept staring at her like is she for real? I was a Credit Manager for 34 years and I have never treated any customer the way I was treated today. We always tried to keep our customers not turn them away and at least look into the problem. I will be sure to tell every one of my friends the experience I had with her and how disappointed I am with the way she treated me. I did talk to a lady last week in Salt Lake City and she recommended that I go directly to the Store however I sure got a different response than I expected. The lady in Salt Lake was super nice but could only go so far. I hope if anyone out there is looking to buy phones for Christmas they check other avenues. At least someone with a Manager that has some common sense and knows a little about Customer Service. I would rate this Manager as a Zero!!!!!!!!!
