Seven hundred days later, I still receive daily emails from VZW to "please come back" generally offering cents on the dollar towards a new phone and a monthly subscription that handcuffs me for three years at a rate significantly higher than I'm paying now. I was told absolute lies by the sales person who said I was eligible for a free trade-in. When I went to return my phone for the trade-in, I was informed that my phone was not eligible. When I talk to the manager, Chris Pryor, he blamed me for the issue and said that I did not read the contract properly. Josh never got back to me and the Manager, Christine, was supposed to transfer my new phone number to the new iPhone I purchased from my family's family plan. She never called, never answered my multiple text, I then had to rearrange my schedule to have my family member come back in to the store because they would not continue the transfer without her present! So, I now have a new phone and account that isn't accessible and they are charging the account for a plan that I'm not even authorized to use! Our landline phone service and internet service have been with Verizon ever since there was a Verizon and with its predecessor, Bell Telephone, for decades before that. Years ago Verizon service was excellent. Today it is terrible!!! I bought a new cellphone at the Verizon store in Chestnut Hill a few days ago, and I tried to get my previous phone number (phone recently destroyed in a fire) transferred to the new phone. I spent an hour and 10 minutes with a Verizon representative trying to get that done. Then two and a half hours at the store on the hardest chairs we've ever sat on. And today two more hours on the phone, helped by my friend, who is a phone and. computer expert. Almost 6 hours, mostly on hold, but still no phone number transferred or new landline phone (which we requested). One big runaround! Each person you talk to tells you something different, and no one hand knows what the other hand is doing. Verizon SUCKS! We now have no phone, TV reception or internet service from Verizon, although we are paying them $300 A month. Kind of shocking as they go out of their way to get your name and everything else and there are people sizing you up to see what they could make from you in the way of a commission. Had an issue with the application of a reoccurring credit which was supposed to be applied to our account after we switch to Verizon 4 months ago. We went to speak to Mason in the Walnut Street store and he working with store manager Derrick resolved the issue successfully over the course of week or so. Mason was an excellent communicator and kept us informed of the status of the issue as it was something that needed to be resolved by Verizon outside of the store. Dear Verizon Executive Support, I am writing to formally file a complaint about a recent experience that has left me extremely disappointed with Verizon Fios service and customer support. On May 30, 2025, a Verizon technician performed maintenance at my home -- despite the fact that my service was working perfectly prior to the visit. The next morning, May 31, I awoke to find I had no internet service. I rely on this service for work and have an autistic child at home who requires uninterrupted connectivity. I immediately contacted customer service and explained the urgency of the situation. Despite multiple pleas and escalation attempts, I was told I'd have to wait until June 2, 2025 for a technician. That meant missing two days of work (June 1-2), and no accommodations or alternative solutions were offered. Worse, when I escalated the issue, the supervisor who called me back expressed zero empathy and flatly said I'd have to wait. A Verizon employee I know tried to help, only to be told by a manager: "Oh, that guy? I'm not sending anyone to help him." This is unprofessional, retaliatory, and unacceptable behavior. When the technician finally arrived on June 2, the issue was resolved in under five minutes, confirming that the outage was caused by Verizon's own prior maintenance. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of accountability, compassion, and the retaliatory response from your internal team. I am already exploring service alternatives. I would like a formal apology, confirmation that this incident will be reviewed internally, and consideration for compensation due to the unnecessary outage and work disruption. I walked into the store the other day hoping to complete a transfer of files from my old phone to a new one purchased in a South Philadelphia Verizon store. I was taken care of by a man with greying dreadlocks who was one of the rudest customer service people that I have encountered. He attempted to belittle me upon finding one of my questions about the product to be silly and obvious. If I were not an employee of the Philadelphia Court system whose behavior is closely monitored even in off hours, this "gentleman" would have been dealt a severe rebuke. In dealing with functionaries (as I am in my position), I do not expect obsequiousness. However, this individual hasn't the first idea on how to deal with a member of the public. read more

I have had VERIZON for many years now. I just went to upgrade my iPhone and have already wasted over 2 hours. First I tried to go on-line, which is their preferred way of doing business, and I got into a circle of their system. I do not have my PIN. so they gave me an 800 number that also wanted a pin. Finally I got through with some kind of BOT that took my order. That bot tried to sell me extra lines even thought I told it 3 times I didn't want any. I finally placed an order which was not as advertised but I got frustrated and just ordered what I had to. I paid $15. for next day delivery. I then closed my computer. I went on about an hour or so later and got a communication that said I had to verify my purchase. I tried but it got me back into needing my PIN. I am going to look for another carrier. I have been doing business with this store for about 6 years. So when it was time for me to upgrade my phone I went to,"my go to spot." This year the sales people were unprofessional barely engage us then when summarizing our bill included an insurance package in our plan that I did not ask for. If I had not ask the question, I would not have known! The lack of engagement and the dishonesty made me pause. Then I said, "let me think about this and I will come back". His response was,"what is there to think about." The last time I upgraded my phone I recived a package of a screen protector, case and charge. His response was we don't give anything out for free. I read so many one star and terrible reviews of this store but it's the closest to my place so gave it a try and hoped for the best. Nope, same terrible experience and poor service so many others have written about. Read the reviews and you'll see what people are saying. Saturnino was my salesperson and not a good one. He lacked professionalism, people skills and was pretty arrogant. No need to speak to or treat customer like this. Seemed like all he wanted was his commission. Seems this location survives due to their good location. How can Verizon let this store have so many bad reviews and so much negative feedback and not get rid of he management and/or staff and fix it? Is Verizon only concerned about sales and numbers? Top to bottom review is critically necessary from initial "greeter" to Manager". I purchased a new IPhone online from Verizon and was assured that I could trade in my old phone and pick up my new one at the 1430 address. I was given my order number to be used to receive my new phone. I arrived at the store and informed the greeter that I was there to pick up my new. I gave him my Verizon order number and was told by him that there was "no record" of my order in the system. I was told to take a seat and that someone would help me, 45 minutes later I was approached by an employee who said that I would be seen shortly. From this point forward I had a very frustrating experience involving staff and the "manager". I was informed of several inaccuracies such as I had filed a replacement claim and that I requested that the phone be delivered to my home. Both of which were false. I was told that my new phone would be delivered to my home in 3-5 business days and to bring it in to the store with my old phone and they would charge me an additional 29.95 to transfer my already backed up data to my new phone. I was struck by the overall incompetence and indifference of the Verizon staff at this store. I am considering closing my account with 4 lines and exploring a new carrier. Needless to say I will not be doing business with this store after I pick up my new phone. read more

Negative stars: I've been a Verizon customer for over 7 years. I went in to get my phone set up and the sales person was somewhat helpful, however, like my previous experience in the store, their Wi-Fi doesn't work in the store. When I was there about four years ago, I had the same experience and it's extremely frustrating to be in a wireless provider store with horrible Wi-Fi. They set up my phone and try to sell me on FiOS. I thought it could be a good idea. I had them come the next day and it took over seven hours for them to set up the service. Once the service was set up, it went out two different times at same day. They also did not communicate with me when they had to come back. I didn't even know if I would ever see them again and once I left. They just showed up at my door with absolutely no notice. Today I went to go return my old phone. I am chronically ill, so all of this was a lot for one weekend . When I went to return the phone when I was told by the associate that the promotion that I was quoted when I purchased a new phone on the Verizon app, and was mailed to me, was no longer the same, and that my plan had changed. I said that I would like for him to look into this and try to fix it for me because I did not have the energy to go do this myself or work through it with somebody on the phone when I'm in a physical store. They gave me a run round that I would have to sit there and wait for a phone call. I'd be surprised if the phone call even went through with a horrible cell service in the store. I asked to speak to the manager, Justin. He was condescending and rude, and I match my tone to him. He reiterated the same thing that the associate said that I had to wait for a phone call. I am beyond fatigued. For anyone with chronic illness that does not mean tired. It means that I have no capacity physical or mental capacity to deal with things like this at that moment. I said to the manager Justin that if he is a manager, why wouldn't he handle it when he's physically there in the store? His reply was that because I didn't purchase the phone in the store that they couldn't help me figure out why the plan was different. I was extremely frustrated and annoyed by them, especially after the whole weekend dealing with Verizon's nonsense. I wanted to return my phone and handle everything on my own at that point because these people were infuriating. I asked for a digital copy of my receipt that I returned the phone. They handed me a paper copy and told me that I would receive an email with said receipt as requested. I still have not received a digital receipt. They were rude and not compassionate in anyway. The associate David, knew my situation , with my health issues and capacity for all of this, as he sat there with me setting up my phone for over an hour. He could've simply said to Justin that I needed additional help. Justin was not helpful one bit, knowing or not knowing I needed a special attention due to my disability. I told him just that I couldn't hear him when he was trying to explain things to me and I just heard for him to move closer even though he was probably 5 feet away. He said he wouldn't move closer and proceeded to talk to me like I was completely deaf. The whole situation was super condescending and a mess. I know I lost it with them, after dealing with such incompetence from Thursday afternoon until this morning, I lost my patience. Now I have no record of my whole Verizon account history when I go to log into my app. I don't know if they wiped it or did something but nothing is there and I cannot even set up a new account with my current information. The phone that I purchased has been problematic and they told me that I needed to deal with Apple directly because I purchased an Apple product even though it was through them. Once they get their money, they clearly do not care about their customers. And that is 100% evident. I tried calling customer service, but the calls keep on dropping. I am beyond frustrated and will never be stepping foot into that store again. I will be contacting the district manager about this atrocious behavior and horrible lack of customer service. Having a Verizon FIOS plan is an exercise in frustration. Their intentional roadblocks to prevent customers from canceling is nearly criminal, and I plan to make a formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau of Philadelphia and to the State Attorney's office. Apparently, you cannot cancel your service in any way other than calling between 8:00-6:00 M-F. You CANNOT CANCEL SERVICE in any of these ways: 1) Using the Verizon Ap 2) Logging into your account online 3) Calling to cancel on the weekend 4) At a Verizon store The Fios rep at Verizon tried to help me cancel, and his manager did too, but they have no means of cancelling your service either. Verizon, you are criminal. There should be some punitive action. My family and extended family will stay far away from any Verizon services. read more

Came into the Verizon Store during my lunch break on Thursday, because my phone was having issues getting service while off Wi-Fi. Derrick, my specialist, assured me he could fix it easily and proceeded to change my SIM card. When that obviously did not work, he told me he could not fix it and I needed to make an appointment with Apple. When I returned to the office, my colleague asked if I had seen a text she sent me. That is when I realized that Derrick failed to activate the SIM card and my phone number was no longer properly connected to my plan. I returned to the store looking for immediate assistance and was told to wait, and when I tried to explain what had happened and I needed to get it fixed immediately, the employee turned a blind eye. He ended up hooking me up with phone support, which was entirely unhelpful. I had to return to the office having already missed an hour of work with no solution. Derrick saw me multiple times upset and distressed on the phone and did not bother come over to see what was going on. It has now been 48 hours and I have not been able to send or receive texts due to Derrick. No one of the countless people I have spoken to at Verizon or Apple has been able to undo whatever he did and get my number reconnected. The best Verizon can do is "overnight" me a new phone that won't arrive until Monday, and even then I am not convinced I will have the network back since I'm still not connected. This has caused me major issues with work and communicating with clients, and personal life (I am supposed to be on vacation now, instead I'm dealing with this, and it is all thanks to Derrick. DO NOT go to this Verizon Store. And if you receive Derrick in need of technical support, you are better off throwing your phone off a balcony and hoping it falls back into place. read more

I walk into store, no customers, 4 employees, explain why I'm there. I'm told I have to "Call Customer Service". I sit right down in the store, go through 4 representative, was warned they would try to keep my business, but TWO of the reps on the phone said "You're in the store? Why don't THEY help you?" Verizon runs a fraud operation. I had a door-to-door salesman come to my house. He told me I could apply for low cost internet via some affordable government act. He further stated, even if I didn't qualify, as long as I applied, and sent the application number to Verizon, I would still get the plan with Verizon, and also, if I didn't qualify, and wanted to cancel, I could do so, if I was not approved, without being billed. He then texted me via cell (not sure if his own cell or a company cell, though the whole thing made me a bit nervous), to contact him "if any need any more help." I asked him to also text me what he stated in our conversation, and he did. After I applied, I was not approved for the plan and immediately called Verizon and cancelled my account. Even though I did, in direct contrast to what the door-to-door con artist said and sent me via text, Verizon refused me a refund. I thus contacted my lawyer on the situation, and he said the verbal statements and resulting text message from the salesman are good grounds to file for "misrepresentation," which he stated is, "false or misleading statement or a material omission which renders other statements misleading, with intent to deceive," and that this is, "a common type of law fraud." I'm thus now in the process of working with my lawyer to file a case against Verizon in small claims court, through the Philadelphia Municipal Court. All this could have been avoided if Verizon would have just done right and not billed me (or refunded their charge), when I was not approved for the affordable plan, as their door-to-door salesman told me they would. Instead, I get to waste time in court, though I'm also hoping I'll be able to take them for the full $10,000 maximum allowed suit amount, as well as have them cover my legal and court costs. I hope also, that I win this case, as to set greater legal precedence against Verizon for committing acts of fraud, allowing others to file similar suit in Philadelphia, with a greater chance of success, in kind. tl;dr Verizon is running a fraud operation. This review is for a woman named Diamond at the store located off Walnut and 15th in Philadelphia. I made a point to tell her how important it was to be able to transfer my photos over to my upgraded phone from my old iPhone. She assured me it would not be a problem as long as I purchased additional space for $2.99/month. I did and she told me everything was good to go. When I got home, I realized all 1,000 picture were gone! I called to speak with her and she patronized me by calling me "sweetie." She was incredibly condescending and said it was essentially my fault for not double checking her work before I left the store! I have now been at the Verizon store for 3 hours with the nice manager Nate, trying to salvage my pictures. I will be contacting corporate regarding Diamond and her horrific customer service. My wife's phone died yesterday, so we went by this location to pick up the pre-ordered replacement today. We were met by exactly the kind of treatment that scares me about the ongoing Covid lockdowns. One of the doors was actually chained shut, so we went to the other door. We were confronted by a very surly security guard who kept shouting at us to "get behind the sign" without any sort of explanation. The sign was just a little typical advertisement sandwich board sign to the side of the door, not some kind of warning or instructive sign. After the guard yelled this a few times, we figured out what exactly he meant, though he didn't clarify or even point to the sign behind which we were supposed to be "getting" ourselves. We were both wearing masks, so his super aggressive reaction was not due to our being "unclean," in the parlance of this Brave New World we're living in. In any case, we were able to at last pick up the phone once the actual store employee came out to figure out what we needed, but it's this kind of petty authoritarian behavior being fostered that really concerns me about the pandemic. We'll survive the virus, but history has taught us a lot about how accepting these little incidents of petty totalitarianism is very cumulatively dangerous in the long term. In March I ordered a Samsung smart watch over the phone, I paid whatever bogus charge I had to pay, received my watch 2 days later, set it up and I was getting the email and text notifications on my watch. I get an email from Verizon in April telling me I have to activate my watch within the 45 days from purchase or I will be billed the full amount of the watch, I thought that was what I did while on the phone ordering the watch because we were on the phone about 45 minutes. The watch was doing everything I wanted it to do so I figured it was activated. Then I got another email and decided to call, over 3 weeks and countless hours on the phone and texting and nobody could get the watch activated, they said to go to the Verizon store in Springfield PA, they could not help because she told me there was a pending order on my account and told me to call customer service again, I do, and they are not able to help me. I go back to the Verizon store, the employee and manager both agreed that once the watch was finally activated and I was not getting notifications when I get messages that there is now an issue with the watch, and I have to have it replaced. The customer service people on the phone and the texting customer service sucks. I was charged an activation fee which I am pretty sure I already paid when I ordered the watch. I have been a Verizon customer since the early 1990's with the same cell phone number, but now I am looking into other wireless and cable providers because of the bullshit I had to put up with for 3 weeks just to get stupid smart watch working. read more
