Great service! After a long day trying to upgrade my phone, I ended up in Needham getting a new screen. I had had a bad experience earlier in the day at another Verizon store that shall remain nameless. I was not overly hopeful that I would have a better experience here--but I did!! I went in and Corey was there to immediately help me. He got me upgraded and even dug up the exact phone I wanted. BEWARE not a corporate store, work on commissions. Horrible customer service, rude and dismissive. What could have been and easy fix, they refused to help, referring customers to store where phone was purchased or a "factory issue". Store was empty and its self explanatory as to why. I had a bad experience at the Needham St. store after dealing with "Smitty" (Matt Smith)..... Updated my service and was quoted a really good price, but he failed to mention this price was dependent upon signing up for auto-pay.......I would not have signed up for this new plan if that stipulation had been mentioned.....it was not, and I am now paying twenty dollars more a month than what "Smitty" quoted me.....I have dealt with two other Verizon employees who basically told me they would make a one time adjustment of that twenty dollars but that was all they could do to help me, no acknowledgement that their employee made a mistake that I was just going to have to live with unless I signed up for auto-pay, which I don't want..... No apology, either, for his mistake. A very unpleasant experience, and I would tell others to take their business elsewhere - buyer beware. read more

Still zero stars for both quality and attitude. Did as they asked and called their Customer Service. After three weeks I got a callback in which they said they can't be responsible for anything that is said to the customer at point of sale (pretty ridiculous for a retailed whose every transaction is point of sale) and that upper management said to blow me off. Asked for upper management and the person who got on phone lied and said she was in "upper management" (but then confessed she wasn't after I asked why she kept speaking of "upper management" as if it wasn't her). Very bad customer service. 1- Sales reps don't disclose that the store is a Verizon-authorized store and NOT a Verizon store 2- They quote monthly service charges and discounts that are NOT the real charges to just make a deal 3- Later, when your bill comes and you go back to the store to question them, first they keep postponing your appointment until the grace period is over. 4- When you get a chance to talk to them and question the charges that are not what they quoted, they don't help instead say, you need to follow up with Verizon! 5-If you call Verizon, they say we did not Quote the price and go back to Cellular Sales 6-If you go back and question them about wrong prices and conditions, they become very nasty and rude and ask you to leave the store because they do not have time The sign needs to be changed to AUTHORIZED VERIZON SALE NOT JUST VERIZON read more

Zero stars. Read a negative review here and you'll see a reply that makes it seem as if they want to solve their problems. Instead, what happens is that they jerk the customer around by making you waste more time, let you wait a few weeks, and then tell you that "upper management" (with whom you may not speak, of course) has rejected your complaint. Let's be clear: they commit clear fraud in their direct customer interactions and then stand on their refusal to be responsible for what their people tell customers. I have been with Verizon Wireless for 17 years, always going to the same corporate store in Chestnut Hill, MA for help. When it closed because of COVID, I went to this cellular sales store, not understanding the difference between the two types of stores. BEWARE of any Verizon store that is an independently owned cellular sales store. You will not get the same customer service as a corporate store. The employees are all salespeople who want to sell you something. At corporate stores, they are there to help you. To find the corporate stores, go to the Verizon website. These days you will probably need to make an appointment in advance. I went into this store with a question about one of my lines. After dealing with a pushy salesperson who used the same sales tactics I've encountered at car dealers, I walked out with a new phone, a new phone plan, a $45 setup charge, and two additional $40 upgrade charges on my bill. The $45 in-store setup charge was literally for handing me a box. Verizon charges a $40 upgrade fee, which I expected, but then another $40 was added on to my bill for no apparent reason. I went back and protested the $45 setup charge, but they said they couldn't do anything about it. I then had to call corporate Verizon to complain. Eventually, they knocked off one of the $40 charges, and gave me a discount on my bill for several months to keep me happy. I did end up with a better phone plan. But the corporate store could have done that for me without all the hassle. read more

Please read This store is NOT "Verizon Wireless" as the sign on the building only reads. I upgraded both my wire and my phones here not knowing there is a BIG difference between a Corporate Verizon and one of these "authorized retailers"! I paid $90 more then here then if I went to a Corporate store. I called Verizon upset that there was no way of knowing based on the store sign outside....Verizon told me in the future to make sure and did remove $60 of my bill for the activation for both new lines on my phones. Still, I overpaid and feel like I got scammed....they should be upfront that its not the same and other fees apply doing the same thing as a Corp. store. read more

We we have been helped by Andrew at the Verizon Cellular Sales on Needham Street in Newton MA for two new iPhones and a too good to pass up trade in deal for a new iPad. He is extremely competent and got us set up on all three devices easily and quickly. He also helped us to make sure we were getting what we needed in our service agreements. I'm a "trust but verify" person, but everything Andrew has told us we've found to be absolutely true in every respect. We intend to return to Andrew when we have additional needs in the future. A verizon wireless rep called me to say they were calling on behalf of the Needham St. store where I needed to upgrade my perfect 5S as Apple was not supporting it anymore. That was August. So, I did not think they would lie-- but this is quite a scam. I upgraded to the next choice, a 7. Since then, I have been back to the store and they refuse to give me a replacement phone--some 500-600$. It is now October and they wash their hands of all responsibility for a phone that does not work. The manager, who grimly walks around in a cheap suit, did not offer anything--so, do I sue this giant, certainly I will talk to Corporate, and spend more time at the Apple Store. read more

I walked in with a dead iPhone X and Ed went above and beyond by calling Verizon tech support (who steered us wrong) then Apple then back to Verizon insurance plan to get a new phone sent to me. He was patient (this all took 3 hours), empathetic and kind. And he offered to help troubleshoot the replacement when it comes in. Best Verizon experience ever! read more

I had no idea this was not what Verizon refers to as a flagship store when I purchased my new iPad from them. I was told on the phone there would be no charge for the transfer from my old iPad. I went to the store to pick up my iPad and have it set up, which took quite a while and left before the music totally appeared to be transferred. I was assured it would complete the transfer. It did not and I ended up spending hours on the phone with Apple in order to get the music library to sync. So, now the billing. I was surprised to hear they charged ten dollars more over Apple and the Verizon flagship stores for the same iPad. Next, that free transfer turned into what I was told, was a $35 fee "for his time". (See device setup fee NON-REFUNDABLE) below. Add to the surprise that, upon looking at the bill that was emailed, I was charged $45. I called Verizon to ask about billing and was told that there is not supposed to be a charge for transfer. Needless to say, I am not very happy with this business. read more

Three times my mother has gone into this store seeking tech support for her Verizon phone and ended up paying hundreds of dollars for a new phone she doesn't need. We then had to take several hours in the store and on the phone making the situation as good as possible (transferring all the data said to have been transferred, dealing with unnecessary services that of course come at extra charge, and so on). When this happened in the summer of 2019, an actual Verizon customer service rep apologized profusely, refunded several charges, and recommended going to the Chestnut Hill store instead. The salespeople at this store are personable (they're salespeople, after all), but their job is to sell phones, even if that means cajoling a septuagenarian into buying something that won't solve her problem. read more

It took us THREE hours to buy a new Iphone and add it to our account -- and then it turned out the plan they offered us was not available. Spent another hour and a half (45 minutes wait time and 45 minutes with a knowledgeable person) and landed on a plan that had not been offered but that was right for us. I highly recommend staying away from this store, and finding a Verizon corporate store instead. I purchased a new iphone here in December, and left to set it up at home. When I reviewed my receipt, I noticed that I was charged a $45 set-up fee, despite setting my new phone up myself at home. I also noticed Verizon Protect had been added to my line for $17/mo without my permission. Luckily, Verizon (not Cellular Sales) quickly reimbursed the charge for Verizon Protect and removed it from my account after I let them know what happened. When I reached out to Cellular Sales to have the set-up fee reimbursed I was met with a complete lack of accountability. I was told that my sales rep, Marlen, had to be the person to reimburse me, and that he would get in touch. He never did. Then after multiple more calls, and being left on hold for an extended period time, store manager, Eddy, assured me that the reimbursement would be processed. That was in December. I never received the reimbursement. I've called multiple times again since, and Eddy let me know that my reimbursement was never processed the first time he told me it would be, and continued to promise me he would get in touch with Marlen to get my refund sorted. I was told I would see the reimbursement in my account this week, and again it wasn't there. And for a second time I was told he and Marlen never processed it. It has been a continuous loop of promising a refund and then not actually doing it. If you are looking to be charged undisclosed fees, have services you didn't ask for added to your line, and to be repeatedly told you will receive a reimbursement that they keep forgetting to put through, this is the place for you. read more

I am very frustrated with this store. I bought an iPhone in December 2019 and was very happy with the service from Salesman number 1. In an effort to protect my iPhone's screen I paid 50 dollars more for screen protector which they installed. On January 11, 2020 the screen protector failed and since I had a warranty, I went to the store. Verizon Authorized Retailer Salesman 2 said, "You failed to follow ALL the steps - no warranty. ". I was very unhappy, but still required a new protection screen so I paid a second time and while I was in the store I filled out the necessary steps so I would NEVER have this happen again. When the screen failed for the 2nd time just 12 days later I returned to the store again, this time CONFIDENT I had completed all the steps and requested a new screen protector. A third salesman told me the coming to the store was not correct, that I had to contact the company directly, pay and they would send me a screen, which I could then bring to the store if I wanted it installed. Had the worst experience here - they completely mis represented a possible upgrade and tried to take money from me. They said an upgrade would have cost me nothing and then charged me to pay off my phone then said Verizon would not be able to refund my money bc it was already processed. We called customer service, had the refund processed and filed a formal complaint against the reps in the store.
