People were angry and wouldn't listen to the reason it was done. It turns out, a company was buying up local stations so they would have more bargaining power to drive up the cost of their feeds. This might seem like a small thing but what you don't know is it would have automatically pushed up the rates of every other provider of media (espn, abc, etc).* The company bit the bullet and told the consolidator to fly a kite. No one appreciated the companies loyalty to their customers. Buckeye's prices were high, just like all cable providers. The business is a lot like gas stations during the 70s. The gas providers set the price but the gas station took the brunt of the ill will. Buckeye was able to lower their price by dropping the set top box. TV is not the same but they had to do something. Same goes with outsourcing support to the Philippines. Costs had to be cut. Buckeye's big differentiator is service. They are able to repond quickly because they are local. Buckeye was a good place to work. They treated their employees with respect and they paid a competitive wage. I made lots of friends while working there.

They have outsourced this to an offshore group and the only way you can reach someone local is at one of their storefront locations. To make matters worse, I'm already frustrated and the offshore customer service person starts to try to upsell me on another service!!! WTF??Starting to look at AT&T Internet today.

I didn't want to use Xfinity or AT&T (although Provide.net uses AT&T to provide their service) because I didn't want to be locked in a contract. I am month-to-month. At the beginning of my service, I bought a modem/router for $100 straight from Provide.net. This is great bc I do not pay a rental fee for the modem. I own it and it hasn't outdated in 3 years and I am sure I will get many more years out of it. My service costs me $40 a month. I pay every 3 months at once (this is how they do their billing) but that is fine for me. The service is DSL, but I see no difference between that and fiber/cable, which I have used in the past. Zero difference! So why pay more? I am streaming Netflix on one or two devices at the same time and someone else is probably using the Internet in the house too. The speed is fast. Everyone can do what they need to do. Also, in 3 years, I haven't had bouts of lost connection. The Internet is always working fine. It is 100% reliable. I am thankful for Provide.net because I can walk right into their storefront on Hewitt 10 minutes from my house and talk to a real human if I ever needed, which I don't, but I could. They are also not like corporate Xfinity puppet people, who totally suck! They are real guys who are totally upfront and casual to talk with. I'm never leaving Provide.net and highly recommend it to home Internet users.

You first have to go through a computer AI support (terrible) before you can get to a human, which is based overseas. They struggled to understand me making me repeat myself multiple times. There response time and handling of service requests is also terrible. I was recently having work done on the outside of my house and the wire was accidentally cut. I had to wait 6 days to get someone out to repair it. I wasn't happy but it was my fault but luckily the contractor was able to splice it so I still had Internet. They came out, "fixed" it and left. An hour later, the internet still had not come back up so I called. I was told I'd have to wait another 6 days before they could come back out and try again. IMO the service tech should not have left until confirming it was working that failing they should have made me a priority since it was their failure. I understand employee shortages but their are methods of putting schedules together to bake in time for high priority calls. Needless to say I found another provider that was able to squeeze me in 2 days later.

Well one put me on hold for 45 mins. The other she did know 89% of what she was talking about but after we parted ways it all went South. Nothing she told me to do was on my tv. No channel 9900, also the new updated direct equipment doesn't have the caller I.D app Honestly these are overseas call centers or they are here on a visa Work program. What's not acceptable is they get paid for not being trained and putting us on hold until we hang up. They know wtf they are doing. Does the company?

I have never had Wi-Fi…read moreat the house but I figured I would give it a shot to try to increase my internet speed when I'm at home. Over the course of 10 months and having it personally installed and paying for that installation, I've had to reset the router at least 20 times. I've called customer service at least a dozen times because the Wi-Fi just goes out whenever it feels like. So what's the purpose of having the Wi-Fi if I end up having to use the hotspot on my phone? Then of course after 6 months the price goes from the intro rate of $50 to $100 a month and it seems like the internet just goes that much slower at that point. I don't use the internet a whole bunch. I may watch a movie occasionally and I had a fire stick on a second TV in the bedroom. Maybe check my email. Nothing ridiculous and I was not able to get good service. So after 9 months I discontinue my service and took my modem up here to the Buckeye office. When I discontinued my service you would think they would have told me where to take it but no. They tacked on the modem to my final bill. When I called customer service they were not helpful at all on telling me a location to return it. When I went to this location the customer service representatives were nice but so are the people at the car dealerships. They did let me know that I had received an older modem and that's probably why I was having so many issues. But as I told him over the dozen phone calls and 24 resets no one told me this and why would they give me a old modem when I'm opening up new service. No way. More days later that they sent a repair tech with an attitude. He dragged mud & water all over our foyer wood floor & kitchen tiles from his shoes. Without checking anything, he began to berate my wife which I overheard in the next room. He wanted her to get a piece of long wood to place behind the wall and fridge as a solution. The fridge has adjustable feet. I checked the tile floor in all directions and everything was level. He then told both of us, "This is how this is going to go." I then told him "This is the way it's going to go!" I told him to get out of our house after being abusive to both of use. We called AC to let them know what just happened & request another service tech. They refused. We noticed the fridge was not cooling below 40. I adjusted temp to the lowest setting of 33/freezer 0. Still could not get it below 40. We paid an additional $209 for 5 yr warranty from AC. DO NOT believe you will get this $$$ back if you don't use it. They lied several years ago for one we bought. They made an excuse they had changed insurance companies and could no longer honor being refunded. AC Mgr Mike Kelly called and got nasty with me and stated they would not replace nor send someone out to fix these two problems. He told me to get a lawyer. Nice. Steer clear of this place. Look at their reviews. Update: It's unfortunate that this business wastes so much time to lie and make excuses instead of spending a few minutes taking care of customers. I'm sorry your incompetent tech did not have time to put a 2x4 behind the fridge as a fix like he insisted on, without even looking at the problem. Please state what your tech was going to do about the problem. All during his stay he would not even look at the two different length levels we tried to get him to use. What expert tool did he use to determine that a piece of wood needed to be placed behind the fridge and wall? NOTHING. How did he check the floor for being level? He didn't. We did and tried to show him the floor was perfectly level. He did NOTHING but berate my wife and spew nonsense. As a retired IT Manager of 33 years, I have a lot of technical background and can tell when I am talking to an uneducated person who blows BS. You sent three people out and all could not even correct this defective fridge. Three "experts" from your company. Have your expert techs read the manual or watched a YouTube video concerning adjusting fridge doors. There is no mention regarding sticking a piece of wood anywhere. No mention of wood at the Manufacturers website. If this tech is the best your company can do, I can see why you have a 1.8 rating on YELP. Fact. I would suggest next time your expert and probably not-certified tech look around for cameras. They are everywhere today. And cameras don't lie like you do. Sorry if your adult tech got butt hurt from getting words thrown back at him as he did first. If you check under Freedom of Speech, a property owner determines what speech rules on their property and has the right to kick anyone out that they deem necessary. I was not going to allow him to trash talk to my wife and treat her with disrespect. I guess this is something your business condones. As a woman, you should be concerned - or not. It's very sad, you as a Manager, are so blind to customer complaints and believe your techs can do no wrong. You are a very poor Manager. You get zero stars. Oh NO! New UPDATE! HOW EMBARRASSING! Frigidaire sent out Dave Smith Appl Serv to take a look at this fridge since AC couldn't handle the problem. He discovered the problem quickly. The back wheel assembles and rear side panels are bowed/damaged from being dropped. I guess the 3 techs sent out by AC aren't as great as their Manager states they are. Frigidaire is replacing the whole unit! OMG! Say it isn't so Appliance Center! You and your staff failed miserably in customer support and technical service. I'm positive you will deny everything instead of doing the right thing and calling me and apologizing how rude three Managers and three techs treated my wife and myself. I bet you are reaching for the phone right now dialing my number. NOT! Keep believing you are great and make no mistakes. You own this. Now act like a responsible business owner and admit it. Clearly, Dave Smith Appliance Service knows what they are doing. Send your guys over to be trained on tech service and customer service. And FYI - You owe me a refund for your lousy extended warranty since the serial numbers won't transfer. Let me know when you will sending me a check. No charge for the education.
