This store has really really wonderful service. They helped me resolve a complicated issue with a new line of service that was incorrectly set up via Verizon's online support. I really felt that this store was in my corner and they worked with me and Verizon customer support until the new line was activated correctly. Terrible establishment. I would not step foot in this store again if you paid me. I switched to Verizon in September 2012 ... by December 2012, I had already had three replacement phones and they were trying to send me another. I had spoken to several managers and online reps who all said that it was impossible to switch me to a different model (when i know for a fact they have a loophole where if you have three defective phones of the same model - they switch you to a different model). Similar to the user below me - I was dealing with a Motorola Razr. But the store ... So i go into the store WHILE my phone is malfunctioning (it was ringing nonstop while i was not getting a call and was unable to be silenced). While I was there I had the displeasure of working with a young man who really didnt help - he just hit on me. To the point of putting his number into my cellphone. I said "oh thats not necessary, i'm not single" ... and the little creep still didnt take it out of my phone. It was disgusting. He had the handshakes like he didnt get his morning vodka and was really just terrible. At the end of the day - I cancelled my Verizon account based primarily on the treatment that i received in this store. I was happy to pay the ginormous termination fee. read more

Absolute worst customer service I have ever had with Verizon. I came in to buy the new IPhone XR, knew what I wanted and ready to pay, just needed someone to take my money. The General Manager (Knudsen or Newton) on duty checked me in, told me it would be 30 min. A full hour later I'm still there waiting to give them my money. The General Manager starts to help other customers who just walked in the door. I get up and remind him that I have been waiting an hour and just need to pay. He looks at me and tells me he can't help me because to buy a phone I need a specialist. That's right the GENERAL MANAGER of the store just told me he's not "special" enough to ring up my phone! Best part, there was no apology towards me for my unacceptable wait, guy looked at me indignantly for daring to question why it takes an hour to buy a phone or why I would expect him to be able to help me. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION! There's an Apple store right down the road. I walked out, went there, had my phone in my hand, activated, and walking out the store in 30 min. This included having an apple employee assist me with activating my Verizon plan and setting payments up through my Verizon billing. How PATHETIC that a non Verizon employee was able to provide better service setting my phone up on my Verizon plan. Should anyone from Verizon corporate read this my family has been loyal customers for 20 yrs but it doesn't look like you want our business any more. For the record, I was in this store Sunday, June 30th around 2:30-3:30 and was checked in under Rob. I sincerely suggest you rethink your management training program. read more

I wish I could say this was a review giving props to an outstanding company, but alas, it is not. We have been loyal customers of Verizon for over 3 years. We have always paid our bill and didn't hesitate to renew when we were eligible. However, all of this changed on November 30, 2015! This is the date that I had scheduled an automatic payment to be debited from my checking account. The debit did not occur. I received an automated text from Verizon on December 1 saying the debit would occur on the next business day December 2. Ok, no big deal right? I had after all set up the payment. Usually the draft occurs on the date selected though, just an FYI. So later in the week I receive a letter from my bank indicating that a tax levy had been placed on our account effective December 1, 2015. Great! That caused our payment to Verizon to be rejected. I immediately call VZW and explain. They set me up on and agreement to pay it on the 18th. The csr assured me there would be no interruption of service. That's great since my husband was just recently laid off and needs his phone to get calls about possible jobs. Stress diverted!!! NOPE!! Today, our service was interrupted. Called financial services, had to...call was routed there anyway, to find out why. Through some yelling and tears...they told me that only they can make arrangements and the one made by the csr didn't matter. Now, we have a tax levy, unemployed husband and a broken agreement on Verizons end. You would think that after 3 years, they would work with you. They lie and do whatever they want. They are not honorable or trustworthy. I will be switching carriers soon. read more

So, I head over here to return and have to wait in a line forever just to exchange a freaking cord. Ridiculous. How about someone work a register for people with a quick, easy fix. As I posted almost the last time, that I'd more to say regarding said cell phone co, not necessarily the store. The next YELP is to all you consumers out there looking to purchase a new phone. I apologize for my delay as I've had some things come up and I've been doing some juggling here and there. You may want to come see me perform...naaaa! :p Ok, the phones Verizon offers..I said a little bit about them in my last post, about them pushing products before they have all the kinks worked out. I know they did this with the 1st Droid device, since when I rvc'd it, it DIDN'T come with a manual because 1 hadn't been created yet, and when I'd call for tech support, I'd know more about my phone than they did because all they were working with, as I discovered over the yrs were simply dummy phones to walk customers thru trouble shooting. This ISN'T a good business strategy. You can't use your customers as your "TEST MARKET." Not a good idea, you only end up with angry customers. Hence the reason I left. The latest fiasco with a Droid push was the Droid Razr. I admit I was sold. After all, my daughter still has her first flip Razr from when she was like 8 in her top dresser drawer - that thing has taken a lickin' and keeps on tickin'. I know an 8 year old with a cell phone...but we are digressing here. We're talking about phones not why my 8 year old had 1. ;-p Then the other "celling point," hahaha! was the Corningwear Gorilla Glass and Kevlar backing. When I talked to the salesperson, I was told it was essentially a phone within it's own case. What's more interesting is that after I had gotten out of all of this mess with Verizon, an article recently came out about the Corningwear Gorilla Glass, what is interesting to know is that Apple was the first to use it in their Iphones and it wasn't until the passing of Steve Jobs, they were able to go public about it, hence the Razr. But, what I find even more interesting is how many Iphones can you count that have a spidered or splintered cracked screen? I know I've seen at least 3 today, alone. Now - that's the Razr. In less than one week my daughter's phone had a surface scratch the size of 1/2 a pinky nail in the top left corner of her screen, paint was chipping from both our phones. Battery life was nil. It couldn't stay charged to take it off the charger...ok I may be a bit ridiculous there, I may have made it to the kitchen, but that's about it. ;-) Verizon corporate continued to back their product every step of the way stating the Gorilla Glass was indestructible. However, when they sent me into a corporate store to have the item replaced (not the Remington, Shelbyville Road Store, as I already said in prior posts, I knew that store was notorious for time suckage), but another 1 on Dutchman's Ln...all three associates had their Razr's locked down in an Otterbox Case WITH screen protectors. They told me that NO - it's not indestructible...it's not designed to withstand keys in your pocket or purse, coins scraping against it, etc. He literally laid the phone face down on a smooth flat table and ran it across and said that it was designed for only mishaps such as that. I was flabbergasted. This was not quite the unsinkable, Titanic of a cell phone that they advertised. The female manager at the store was still willing to replace it, even though they labeled the damage as "physical," meaning we had inflicted it onto the phone, but they didn't have any in stock, so she had to once again go thru corp. In all my yrs with Verizon, I've never seen a store assc get yelled at so loudly that she had to pull the phone away from her ear - or at all - until this particular occasion. The rep from corp said that there wasn't any refunds or exchanges even though we were well within our 30 days, even though it was obvious the phones were defective and we'd not had them a little less than a week. There was nothing I could do but wait out the 2 yrs with phones I'd paid over 400.00 dollars for, with a 2 yr contract, and live with the decision I'd made. I was SO not having it. I googled Verizon's CEO and rcv'd his secretary with whom I'd left a msg with. They tried negotiating everything. Refurbished this - refurbished that. Nope. I just paid less than 1 WK ago, for BRAND NEW PHONES that were completely defective, and I even suggested we return to our old phones our old disconnection date, and they still turned me down at first, until it was too late..2 WKS and over 30 hrs of arguing on the phone with Verizon, I was done. Like a turkey. I wanted out. I was at the point of tears. With this being said, the Razr commercials nearly give me PTSD, They are truly propaganda. IF you are a poor soul that HAPPENS to be a Verizon customer or are CONSIDERING becoming one - research the comments on each phone BEFORE YOU BUY ANYTHING, when we did, we discovered nearly every Razr and Razr Maxx buyer had the exact same sentiments! read more

Not sure why I keep going back... would be nice if the sales person could have given me her attention vs answering her phone and worrying about another customer getting service and what she could upsell on. Will be going to the Apple Store for phones going forward. read more

COMPLETELY DISGUSTED. I have been with verizon almost 19 years and will be changing providers after this experience. The sales rep was completely vague about have much my bill would be after switching phones. She never mention the activation fees for the new phone or tablet telling me my next bill would only be "a few" more dollars. i was distressed over possibly not being able to transfer some pictures and I feel she took advantage of the fact i was distracted. Totally disappointed in this unethical behavior and very distraught over the $300 dollar phone bill I received. read more

I was in town for a convention and my phone stopped working on the plane. While 2 representatives at the Verizon did try to help troubleshoot, they were unable to solve the issue. Upon then asking what the options were the guy told me that I would need to get a new phone and it would be $800. Imagine my surprise to hearing how expensive it was! We have a business plan, insurance, and I was due for an upgrade (even though I understand no discounts come with that notion apparently). Not only that but when I inquired about the iPhone SE the gentleman told me that it was backordered for 4 months so they didn't have it but then said I wouldn't want it because it doesn't get as good of service as the 6s (which they had in stock). This is completely untrue when you google this and ask Apple. Seems like the guy saw a young person who was from out of town and was looking to make a quick sale. My advice: do your research prior to going to this store and make sure you know the facts. They will try to trick you too. read more

I must say that this store has completely redeemed itself since I was last there ages ago. I had a bad experience with a previous manager making promises that she couldnt keep but the new"er" manager was absolutely fantastic and she helped me out a ton! She was able to determine an issue with my phone and have it sent out to be replaced without causing any fuss or charging me anything at all! She also helped me with getting accessories that would help me in every day situations to protect my phone, keep a charge, and accomodate my every day lifestyle! She also went over a couple of family plans with me and figured up how much it would save me on a monthly basis! I appreciate everything she did and helped me with. Mike the associate who rung me up was extremely personalble and helpful as well. Seems like a good bunch of associates there and I will not have a problem returning back to this location if I receive the same kind of customer service that I received yesterday!
