I moved into my apartment 4 weeks ago, and WiFi/cable is included in the rent through spectrum. The WiFi routers are in a box connected to the wall. I tried putting in the password given to me, and it came back as incorrect. I called Spectrum, and of course, got the runaround for almost an hour and a half (I got transferred to numerous different people), and finally got transferred to a woman who told me she had, 'no idea what was wrong, thank you & have a great day' and hung up on me.
I called back the next day, and once again got transferred 500 times. I finally got in touch with the WiFi department. The tech was able to troubleshoot my WiFi equipment and figured out that my access point was offline and had been offline before I had even moved in. He put a ticket in, and then told me someone would be calling me in the next hour to set up an appointment to get a tech out to my apartment. Nobody ever called me back.
The next day, I physically went into a Spectrum store to talk to someone in person and maybe get some answers. The woman at the front desk set up an appointment for a tech to come out on Tuesday, November 13th at 10AM. A tech came out to my apartment that day, took one look at my router, and then looked at me and said 'yeah, I don't know how to fix this. Let me call my boss.' He called his boss, and then told me that someone who is qualified to fix these WiFi routers would be calling to schedule a time THAT DAY to come out and fix my WiFi. Once again, nobody ever called me.
I have called numerous times in the four weeks I have lived here, and at least 3 of those times I have been given ticket numbers and told that someone would be getting back to me to set up an appointment. NOBODY has yet to call me back, and I'm still without WiFi. It's getting ridiculous.
If this WiFi wasn't included in my rent, I definitely would never deal with spectrum another day in my life. The customer service is absolutely HORRIBLE. I will post this review on every single Spectrum review blog in hopes people will see it and decide to find services elsewhere.
Thank you, Spectrum, for ruining my Thanksgiving, due to the fact that my mother could not come down for the week since she works from home and needs WiFi to be able to do so. You guys are the real MVP's. read more
