This store is a poor representation of what Verizon is supposed to stand for. Even though promotions are clearly listed on Verizon's official website, the staff here will not honor them. It feels misleading and incredibly frustrating -- you walk in expecting a deal and leave feeling deceived. Customer service was unhelpful, and instead of trying to assist or escalate the issue, they simply brushed it off. Save yourself the time and trouble -- go to a corporate Verizon store or order online directly from Verizon. I have an issue with Verizon charging me for equipment that i have not and don't use. They had someone call me in an attempt to keep me as a client and was supposed to fix the issue and send me a label for the past 2 years. Yet they are still billing me. Today, I called in for assistance and was hung up twice. This is ridiculous and unacceptable. This has been the worst service I have ever had with a cell service. I have driven by this location over a thousand times by now and always assumed it was a corporate Verizon store - it's a big free standing store and has the official Verizon signs all over it and no mention that it's an independent store. I always buy unlocked phones outright so I don't have any need to go to any Verizon store, corporate or otherwise, but I have been trying to narrow down my next phone to the Galaxy S22 and the S22+ so I thought since I am a Verizon customer and paying through the nose for a top tier plan, I wouldn't be breaking any moral codes if I stopped by the store to look at their display models to get a better idea and then buy online. I mean at the end of the day, Verizon still makes money off me. The idea was to just pop in and pop out and not even bother any sales people because I know they are commission based, and frankly, I know more about the features of the phones I'm interested in than they do. As soon as I approached the door however, I saw that there was a little sign that said they were an independent store (Cellular Sales I found out later) and before I could make a graceful exit, I was buzzed in so I thought as long as I'm there, I can just look at the display there. When the gentleman asked me what he could do for me, I was honest and told him I just wanted to look at the S22 and S22+ display. Instead of showing me the display however, the employee went into full sales mode and asked me to sit at the chair by his desk and went through his script. "Are you a Verizon customer?" he asked...well I guess that's a fair question. Wouldn't want a T-Mobile customer coming to look at the precious display models after all. I gave him the info and he started going through my personal information and god knows what else. "What do you use your phone for?" "I make phone calls"... That threw him for a loop and he looked annoyed. I mean what the hell do people use their phones for? What answer could I possibly give him that would change the fact that I just wanted to look at a damn display phone? I explained AGAIN that I really didn't want to take up his time and just wanted to look at the display model, but no, he couldn't take the hint. There were a couple of other sales people standing in the back watching the whole thing so I don't know if the guy I was with was Michael Scott trying to show Jim and Dwight "how it's done", or maybe those were his bosses and he was trying to show that he's doing his best to make a sale, but it was getting really annoying and more like a shady used car lot. For the next 5 minutes we went back and fourth about financing, the Pixel 6, which I did not want, blah blah blah blah until he finally said that he didn't have any on display but had one in the back that he couldn't take out the box but could bring the box... Good god. I asked if they had an S21 on display which they did but couldn't sell and that was good enough for me, and an excuse to get up but he was walking with me with a really annoyed look when I told him thanks and was leaving. Long story short, this is not a corporate office so if you enjoy buying a gym membership or haggling a car salesman, this is the place for you. If you don't like that, just go to the corporate office, or better yet, buy online or if you want to finance your phone, stop by the Costco Kiosk, I think that company is Wireless Advocates and they seem a lot more laid back. I don't begrudge them for trying to make a sale but read the room. read more

My experience with Verzion has been a TOTAL nightmare. Came into this store to buy off my phone, and get business internet. 6 months later i'm just now finding out that a watch was added to my account that i've been paying for for 6 months. insurance was added on all 3 lines, and they gave me the highest internet plan. The women that helped me was short, no hair, dark skin. Please avoid her at ALL cost. She will ruin your year with nonsense with Verzion. Beware!!! read more

***Buyer Beware**** Please do your research before buying anything. 1. This isn't a corporate Verizon storefront. This is an authorized seller. They can tack on charges as they see fit because they are a private entity. 2. You will be charged a $40 service fee for every device you buy and setup, and you WILL be charged again by Verizon on your first bill: $35 per device. They don't tell you this before they set up a device for you. If you want to avoid this, go to an actual Verizon corporate store front, online, or talk to a rep on the phone. Ask to know up front what the fees will be at that moment AND after your first bill. They charged me $40 each for my brother and I's devices, and my brother's phone wasn't even ported correctly. We had to call a Verizon rep to do it properly. Unacceptable. Now I understand why they were so insistent on setting up my brother's phone instead of him doing it on his own at another location. 3. Once they make a sale off you, they are not very helpful. I asked multiple times about gift cards we were supposed to receive because of all the devices we purchased. They kept saying "give it a couple of weeks". It didn't sound right because when my sister setup her device in a separate state, they gave her a promo code for her rebate right away. I decided to call Verizon myself, and was told I did the right thing by calling. If I hadn't, I would have lost out on $400 worth of gift cards. I also had to call multiple times about an IPad I ordered. They said they would call me to come in and set it up: They never did. :) I ended up coming in on my own to get and set up my device. 4. They will try to sell you services you don't need. I got asked to open a business account for future business ventures even after I said I don't have a business. Why would I do that? Why would I open a business account IF I DON'T HAVE A BUSINESS!? Why would I voluntarily waste money??!?!!?!?! Be oh so very serious. 5. Back to that service fee: you're honestly better off setting up the device yourself. If it gets too tricky, call a Verizon rep through the customer service number. They might even wave the activation fee for you. Heavy emphasis on MIGHT. Better to be charged $35 than more than $70 for each device. In conclusion: please do your due diligence. I thought I did enough research before doing the switch to Verizon, but obviously not. I went to this location because out of all the other stores in the greater houston area, this one had the highest review that was open on a Saturday. I can't give a thorough review just yet on Verizon itself as a provider because I haven't been using it long, but I will say their corporate customer service hotline is very helpful. They were the ones who educated me on everything (as well as Reddit lol) and helped me understand where each charge came from. Hopefully, my review is helpful to somebody. Be blessed! read more

I went in for an iPhone 12 pro max and the blond tall guy basically pressured me into getting the Apple Watch because supposedly I qualified to get it FREE which was a total lie and now that I'm 2 months in they're charging me $35 extra a month for the watch and I can't return it anymore because the 14 days are over. I have been coming to this store let's say a little over 5 years I usually don't have issues with the employees being RUDE! but this time I had the worst experience ever! I added a line to my account and I called customer service to send the phone to this location to be picked up, I asked the rep over the phone if there will be any issue and he reassured me there wouldn't be. I had called earlier to make sure they even had phones in stock for me and they assured me they did, I did ask about the time close and if it was better to just order my phone online he just said go ahead and come in and we will get it ready. Well I did it over the phone because it was faster and I really just wanted to pick it up and go. Well once I get there the man got a huge attitude, and of course I was triggered, but I stayed calmed Then I was told that because they are a 3rd party they can't give me the phone but in the most rudest way I called to get ordered cancelled and the rep over the phone said it was weird because even 3rd parties can have it done. Well the rep over the phone even tried speaking to the rep at the store and he was extremely rude to them as well I am understanding and yet polite but the way these two men acted and treated me was not professional at all Due to this I'm not ever coming back to this store and I do not recommend coming here I only got the name of one rep but I rather not say his name. This place is truly criminal. Do not go. It's not a real Verizon, it's one of those dreaded cellular sales. They sold me a "brand new" iPhone that had horrible battery life. It was so bad that I needed to exchange it almost immediately and had to pay fees to clean up the mess they got me in. I came into this store with a frown after losing my Iphone and left a happy customer. Thanks to Tess, Gabriel, and Pablo. Tess went above and beyond to help me save money and upgrade my devices. He is obviously very good at his job. He listened to every one of my wants and needs and used his knowledge to help me. He is a very good listener and intuitive. I love the customer service at Verizon. You never hear stories about rude or unhelpful service from Verizon customers :) I went in yesterday because I was due for an upgrade. Or so I thought? As soon as we walked in, we were greeted kindly and 'someone would be right with us'. Jessica Gonzalez (I got her business card before we left) helped me. I told her that I was undecided between two phones and that I just wanted to play around with them before I chose. She informed me that my upgrade was really at the end of them onth (though I could've sworn I remember being told the 16th of July) but, she had actually changed the date of the upgrade so I could get it that day, if I'd wanted. Very sweet! We messed around with a few other phones while we were there, and other employees asked us if we needed help. Everyone is really polite! read more

Approach with caution. I went in this store thinking it was a Verizon store because that's how it appeared from the store front. But I found out later that this was not a Verizon store, it was an "authorized retailer" which is a big difference. They charge everyone a $40 fee for phone setup, something that Verizon and Apple stores do not charge for. Efficient service but not a warm and fuzzy way to make a customer feel like she is a criminal because we can't locate password for a family plan (four of us are on the plan). We won't return to this location. Sometimes Verizon folks think they are doing the customer a favor just by doing their job. James Vaughn, Verizon Specialist, exemplifies totally awesome customer service in helping us upgrade to the new iPhone 6 Plus as well as explain available payment options! So even in 2015, you really can get excellent customer service from a mega corporation such as Verizon. Lesson to be learned: Don't purchase or upgrade your phone at a retail dealer, such as 8401 Westheimer Rd, where they don't care if you do business with them or not. It is cellular sales, a third party seller. It is NOT a Verizon store. Be careful with their hidden price. A 16 gb iPhone 6 is charged for $765 base and $830 including tax. In apple store it is $645 base. The clerk cannot explain why it is $120 more expensive. Keeps brushing us off with saying like handling and shipping fees. Who the hell pays shipping fee when buying in a store?! AND, you cannot return it to a Verizon store because it was bought from a third party seller! Had the best experience Saturday. Went in because I lost my phone and Prince went above and beyond to make my sucky situation better. I was explained my options and given the information to make the insurance claim. He even let me borrow an old phone when I explained I couldn't possible go another day without a cellphone.
