I was helped by Nathan 30 minutes of closing. He was very patient. He took his time. He didn't rush. He still offered me promotions and upgrades. Also, the guys that were there that were waiting on him was very patient. They didn't rush to sell, even though the lights were gonna cut off in 40 minutes, they were still patient and at the end of the transaction. I didn't have to pay anything, but I still wind up paying my phone bill due to the fact of that patient and I'm doing everything that I can do in their power to help me to get a new device I would recommend this location to anyone who is in need of a new device and great customer service ask for Nathan of one of the guys that worked with him. Employees act there like you're bothering them. They are not there to work. Sitting around doing nothing and don't even bother to greet you. When asked for help . Had the phone shoved back across the table and said we can't do anything. You have to call customer service. Didn't offer to help. Nothing. Completely dismissive and this is a corporate store. Lazy, entitled and obviously just there to pick up a pay check. Oh, and the ignorant manager had to have the last word every single time we pointed out a failure in their customer service. I visited this location specifically to cancel a trial service and return equipment. Upon arrival, I was immediately dismissed by an employee (a 5'9 Caucasian male wearing glasses and a red bandana) who falsely claimed that in-store cancellations were impossible and instructed me to call the customer helpline.Trusting this information, I remained in the store and spent 30 frustrating minutes attempting to resolve the issue via phone and chat support. During this entire period, multiple employees chose to stare at me rather than offer assistance. After half an hour of watching me struggle, a different employee finally approached me, escorted me to a desk, and processed the entire cancellation in under five minutes.This confirms that the staff absolutely possessed the capability to assist me from the beginning, but intentionally chose to fabricate company policy to avoid doing their jobs. Watching a customer struggle for 30 minutes due to deliberate misinformation is a severe failure of basic customer service. This profound level of carelessness and laziness perfectly validates my decision to terminate my relationship with this company. The guy that checked us in said it'll be a few minutes. 40 mins later, I asked if there's any idea when we'll be up next. Not even a guarantee but basic customer service would be finding out where we are in line and then saying maybe approximately x minutes. Example: if we are NEXT in line and the lady is about done setting up another customer's phone, you have SOME idea when we would be up next. She didn't even ask us our name to check where we were. She didn't even want to check for us. We are good. Taking our business elsewhere. There are other Verizon's. AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS. It's the attitude and the lack of basic customer service. Word of advice: don't say it'll be a few minutes because there are two people in front of us. Few minutes is not 40 minutes. I went within the four days time frame (94 hours from the confirmation email) however when I got to the store they told me I only had three days to pick the item up. Last time I visit this store. Over the past 2 years have bought 2 phones, multiple cases, I pad and was talked into a case that has caused me nothing but problems since it always kept my phone in mute because the side button was defective. Today I asked to get a new case and had to pay the difference on a less protective case. They said I could have a new case of the same model that didn't work with my phone. Now why would I do that. I had a stellar experience when I went and got my new iPhone 6 the day it came out. The staff was organized, friendly, and incredibly accommodating. Since we had to wait in line, they offered us bottled water and coffee from Dunkin Donuts. Since it was release day, we were only allowed to enter the store when there was a free associate, and while we waited they kept us organized with a list to ensure we all got what we wanted. Everyone I encountered truly provided amazing customer service. Yes, they tried to sell me additional things but I didn't find them to be too pushy. My Fiancee and I came in to upgrade our phones. We had to wait awhile because we happened to go on the day the Iphone 6 came out. Once the associate came to help us, we let him know that we had the unlimited data package and we wanted to know if we used our upgrade if we would lose that. He said yes and then went to check our data usage. He found out that we use a ton of data and basically told us that if we used our upgrade we would have to go with one of their packages and the most data they could offer us was 6GB. That was not nearly enough. He told us if we went with this our phone bill would be $300-$400 a month. He told us not to do that and just go online and buy our phones. I have been a Verizon customer for years and have visited several stores throughout the years. I made a visit to this tore because I had a question about a product I was interested in purchasing. I was greeted prior to entering the store with the door being opened by one of the sales employees; immediately I was asked how they could help me! Christian, the Manager who assisted me, was very helpful and knowledgeable about the product (jawbone up) which I did purchase; I had several questions and at times don't consider myself to be tech savvy; however Christian was very patient and didn't seem to be "bothered" by my numerous questions, he also took the time to be sure I was comfortable with the operation of the device; prior to me leaving the store. I am eligible for an upgrade on my current phone and have been dreading going in to search for what I want; however I will definitely return to this location as the level of customer service I received here was AWESOME! read more

Very displeased with the customer service I received from Amar. I went in last month to change my plan going from $60/2 gigabyte plan to $50/4 gigabyte plan...seems like a no-brainer right? Why wouldn't I want to pay less for double the data? I did not upgrade my phone, I simply wanted more data. I was assured by Amar my monthly bill would stay roughly the same, so you can only imagine how shocked I was when my next monthly bill was almost double what I was paying before. I'm going back today to make sure he personally corrects this error. And I will be cancelling my service with Verizon at the end of the month once my contract is up because of this bad experience. read more

My wife was mugged in Chicago and able to recover her phone only to find it completely smashed. She was very upset and decided to stop at this Verizon store on her way home. Manny helped her and she decided to upgrade to a new phone. He promptly oversold her on a wireless charging station, an external battery, case and screen cover. He claimed it all came with the phone, only to open the boxes, install the items and then tell her she owed almost $200 for the accessories. It was a complete bait and switch. When she returned the next day to try and return the items, the store said that because it was part of a bundle that she couldn't return it. To add insult to injury the accesories were overpriced by $10 each compared to their Amazon prices. They took advantage of my wife's vulnerable position and oversold her on accesories that they claimed "she needed" to use the phone. Predatory/used car salesman tactics. Very disappointed. read more

Had a problem with a phone I got from Bestbuy 6 months ago, went to this store to have it looked at because it was closer and a corporate store. First time, this girl looked at it and did a factory reset to see if it will fix it. She was nice and asked me to text her if the problem happens again. It did after a day so I let her know and she said to come in for a replacement and talk to a manager since she won't be in that day. I went back two days later and there was a manager named Christian. He had this snotty attitude to begin with but whatever, I'll just get my replacement processed and go. Had to wait around for 10 mins because he was doing something on the computer. I was having a problem with the internal memory media scanning (LG Intuition). He proceeded to tell me that it could be a corrupt external memory card. I told him this phone doesn't have a SD slot (first sign of incompetence). Then I told him what had happened and about the factory reset and the error message I was getting. He went to his computer and searched to see if any known problems were in the bulletin and spent around 30 mins searching through GOOGLE (which I have done at home previously without success). After 30 mins of him searching on the internet, I finally got tired of the wait and told him to just get me a replacement because this was a repeat visit and was told to come in for a replacement, not just sit around while he googled the problem. He said OK then looked into the computer more then told me because I bought my phone from BB I had to go there to have it serviced. I told him it's VW phone under VW contract. So now you're telling me this after 40 minutes messing around? I went to BB days later and they said no, VW should take care of it and they never had a customer come back to BB for VW phone sold under VW contract. I went to another VW store (luckily there was another VW corporate store in the mall) and the manager told me she would do a replacement. I asked her about what Christian said and she said that's not the case and she's not sure why he said that. As a manager he probably knows this and just wanted to give me a runaround. I had purchased phones and accessories from this Verizon location in the past. The staff was amazing. They were compassionate and thorough, took back the phone for a full unused credit. Stopped in to quickly replace my iPhone charger today. Thought I'd have someone also check my phone speaker that has been sounding off. A man at the door greeted me, took my name, and let me know there was a 25-30 minute wait. I asked where the chargers were, and he vaguely pointed to the back of the store, said there should be some there, and if not, more in the back. When I could not locate them, I let him know I was unable to wait, and just wanted to purchase the charger, could he please show me where it was. He did not move from the door, and just said I'd still have to wait 30 minutes to make my purchase. I asked if there wasn't a cashier or anyone that could ring me up quickly (there was an employee standing at one of the registers, and he was still just standing by the door taking people's names) but he said no. I am in the service industry, and I found it unbelievable that a customer that would definitely be making a purchase would have to wait to do so...I've never experienced this at any other Verizon store; my customer service experiences in the past are some of the reasons I am 7 years loyal to Verizon. His lack of customer service made me leave the store. Later that evening I stopped at the Schaumburg location on Higgins. There was also a wait, but this man at the front taking names asked me what I needed, retrieved the charger for me, rang me up, and sent me on my way. Could not give me a straight answer , took out my card and said I don't need it if I don't travel over sees and if I do to come back and they will put it back ????? I went into the store today for a simple screen protector replacement. The store sales person, took my phone in the back and after several minutes came back with it with a new protector. As I drove away, I noticed that my phone was "Initializing". It was doing some type of update. The phone was initializing like it was brand new. I had no idea why this was happening except that he had to have removed my sim card. I called the store and spoke to the manager and he told me that the sales person did not take it back. After I told him that watched my phone go into the back room with the sales person, then he told me I could come back in and get a sim card if I wanted to. I should not need this as no one should have EVER touched my phone in a way that needed that. Please stay away from this store. They are not ethical. read more
