I've been using FVI for around 15 years and am still a loyal customer due to the very quick and attentive service they provide. I recently had some quirky antenna issues which made my IT connection very unreliable. They dispatched technician Cory to solve the problems which he did quickly and correctly. I prefer to support local businesses and FVI is one of the best at providing good fast internet connection. I highly recommend allowing them to prove what good service really looks like. read more

I have been with Fox Valley for 26 years and have had no issues. I love their service. The tech are vary nice fellows and do their best to help you out. I was on the phone this morning with Mason and he helped me get through a situation that I most likely caused and I was up and running again at 8 am this morning. Call Mason he's a nice young man and he will help you out. I had dial up internet and still cannot get cable companies. I had rebooted up the system. The Grandstream phone I had was not booting up. My internet was not coming up and the 3 lines had an / thru them. I decided to call Fox Valley Internet, I pressed 2 for support and the gentlemen that answered said he would page Jason and he would call me back. Jason shortly called me back. he had me do a few things on my computer. The IP address had changed. Jason changed it on his end and everything was fine. Jason is always pretty quick in finding the problem and then fixing it. He is the best!!!!!! read more

We've been with this company for years and they are the worst. We've paid every month for service that works "sometimes" and they know about it! They know about and they Don't Care, as stated by their owner. He feels Im just looking for "free," when I told him that we pay for good service, and it's not, again, he states...he doesn't care. In fact, he's already to talk about not caring about collections etc., (left on our answering machine), for real. This is his answer to our request to cancel their service and have them remove their equipment ( long ago agreed that they'd do at their expense.). He says their equipment is of no value so its free to stay up their or a third party removal (first $70) for $75 cost to us. $65 for 25 mpbs/UL and 5 mpbs/DL and our service was never that good. We now pay $15 less for 300+/UL and 90+/DL speeds. What they do a great job at... making excuses. A tree in our neighborhood has gotten too big, the satellite moved, there's a piece of dust on the dish, etc. Their interview questions for hiring new tech's is as follows: 1) Can you operate a calculator? If no, you're still in the running!!! 2) Are you allergic to bandwidth? If yes, you're immediately hired. 3) What is a network? If your answer has anything to do with a group of people, you're promoted to manager. 4) When the phone rings, what is the next step? If your answer is, pick it up, you are told to leave immediately. 5) Why are manhole covers round? If you piss your pants, you're hired with a company car and free (crap) internet for life. 6) What does ISP stand for? You might not know this one, but after 5-years with Fox Valley Internet you'll be able to confidentially say... I Steal Protocol. read more

I just got off the phone with them. Support said the they are sending the 3mbps I pay for, the reason my speed tests show just .5mbps is because I must have too many devices on Wi-Fi. Another excuse. Ive used them 15 years because nothing else is available. read more

This Has the be the worst service I have ever had. Most days it's marginal at best. Customer service is horrible and response time is absolutely atrocious! I have a complete outage at least once a month and have never once been offered any type of credit. I spend almost $60 a month to a service that amounts to a bag of terds! I only stay because I have no other options. If I had any other choice I would leave!!!! I can't explain how horrible this service. Not sure if I can add anything more but over the last month I have called almost everyday. Horrible!!!!! Update: I have talked to more techs in the past week 1/2/19 who don't know anything about the network. I am supposed to get 25Mb internet and my speed test are constantly no more than 10. There answer is instead of charging me 60 for 25Mb to drop me to 12 Mb for $50. What a joke. Never once have I ever been offered a credit for the worlds sh*test service! Sal might just be the worlds worst tech. He needs a new job cleaning toilets. He won't have to talk to customers or actually pretend to know anything about what he is doing. read more

We have been a customer for 16 years. We have no other options that would t cap our streaming. Between the unreliable spotty service and the gazillion excuses why I needed to make sure that anyone else who has an option to use another provider does so. On top of all of that their customer support is arrogant and condescending. I won't say it is just one rep either I am calling in all the time with issues so after I wait on hold every time and then, am forced to leave a message for a call back, they call back, to tell me there was an issue which is "totally fine". Never an apology, or even fake sympathy for the inconvenience. When i say I have issues and talk to them often it is on average at least twice a week.... I can not wait until ANY OTHER OPTION becomes available that allows us to stream with out paying 1000$ a month. Oh, and I purchased my own router and pay 100$ a month. read more

If I could give a no star I would. Constantly crashing internet, doesn't matter if it's sunny out or not. Called in to report that Internet is performing poorly and the "support" says that the levels are fine when I'm looking at barely a 2Mbs download (when I'm hardwired). Wish there were other options in the area because this is ridiculous. read more

Internet speed is slow. Internet goes out daily for extended periods of time, technician scheduled out a week later. When I call, they tell me a line is out and then when they come out they don't fix the line. read more

If you have the option, pick any other company than Fox Valley Internet. I haven't had any issues with customer service, but the internet SUCKS! It never works. I have called them every other month for the last 5 years & I get charged a fee to have it fixed every time. I am grateful Xfinity is now offered in our neighborhood. I will be switching. read more

Worst customer service I've ever had. I thought Comcast had rude reps until I got Fox Valley. Mean, sarcastic, just horrible. When I asked to speak to a manager, I had to wait a full day for them to call me back and when they did, the manager did the same thing and then hung up on me! I've had the service for 6 months with nothing but problems. I can't even watch Netflix and Youtube at the same time on their "highest" service plan, which cost almost $70/month! They repeatedly told us the problem was on our end, even after we upgraded plans and bought not one but TWO new routers! After all this, they continued to say it was our fault and refused to even send someone to our house. Stay far away from this company, they will take your money, be rude to you and will never actually do anything to try to help you with your service. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. read more

I had temporarily moved into a rental between selling and purchasing my new home. It was in a rural area, and I quickly learned that Fox Valley Internet was my only option for internet service. Knowing I would be living in this rental for only a few months, I contacted Fox Valley Internet to set up my service, paying a premium to not have a contract. The internet itself worked fairly well. It was far slower than the Comcast internet I am use to, but we could stream a movie with it only stopping to load once at most. We did have some trouble with our service during heavy rain, but I guess that is what to expect with a satellite based service. My real problem lies with the customer service at Fox Valley Internet. I had called a few weeks prior to moving from my rental to find out what I needed to do to end service. The customer service rep said I could hire their third party service to remove the satellite or could remove myself and return the equipment to them, and that was all to it. So, I pulled out my ladder the day prior to my move and took down the equipment myself. I returned it to their offices the very next day, waited for a rep to look it over, verify my account was paid off, and then off I went. I thought I was done with them. Now, a month later, they are still drawing money from my account. I called to talk to someone about it today and was told they will continue to do so until my equipment can be inspected. Considering it takes 20 minutes to get someone from their billing department on the phone, I can only imagine how long that will take. Furthermore, he stated that any time unused during billing cycles will not be refunded to me. I gave adequate notice of my cancellation as per their contract. He never asked for my name or bothered to look at my account. Fox Valley Internet will rip you off. Be warned. read more
