We were sent away with a deactivated phone. For 2 days we were under the impression we needed access to the Apple ID to active the phone. We went to the Apple Store and were told our carrier, Verizon has to activate the phone. So we went to a different Verizon store and they chuckled and said "we don't claim the flint location" Our phone is now activated and working. Thank you to the Lansing, Verizon store. read more

It appears wireless service providers are cutting back on in-store services to customers, which means that this may be the best the industry will offer us from now on - so maybe time to re-consider our reviews and ratings? Either that, or expect more from our providers... I agree with previous reviewers; I was sorely disappointed stepping into Verizon. The tech counter is gone, and even with expanding technology, it appears only a fraction of choices are now available in showrooms. Within minutes, I was ready to tap the one-star button on my Yelp, but here came Katie to our rescue. She was professional, friendly, and went out of her way to make sure our issue (seemingly now a DIY project, thanks to apps) was completely resolved. This review is for the customer service department. I spent over 2 hours on the phone with 2 simple questions. I was repeatedly placed on hold, transferred to different departments, given wrong numbers to corporate lied to about the names of the representatives that I spoke with and the list goes on. I drove to a store to get corporate info. They were very nice but nobody knows anything. I have 10 lines and am thinking about a new carrier. The never used to be like this. If I could rate zero I would. If you make changes to your account that's a 4hour conversation 4days a week for 3 months. It's ridiculous. I received a survey it never processed after my comments. Terrible customer service in the store and also on the phone. To get some help to cancel one of multiple accounts we have we got a flyer to try and do it. Which the number was a joke and it was a huge hassle. But while we waited for the hand out another lady came in asking for help on her phone and they told her hey couldn't do anything. The only help they offered this lady was to go to a third party vendor down the street and pay them to fix her phone. They gave her several names of business and their locations for her to go to. The only thing the girl said at the Verizon store was she could help her at buying a new phone. read more

Went in today to talk about my plan and do the trade in deal they had. Waited about 30 mins, young lady helped me and just seemed like she was ready to get out of there. Had to call my husband cuz I wanted to make sure he was aware of everything too and after I got off the phone she told me she clocked out so she had to put me BACK on the waitlist. I wasn't pleased since I already had to wait before, but I also wasn't pleased with the prices she told me too. There was something that just wasn't right. But then Trevor came along and fixed everything I felt that wasn't right. Apparently that girl (don't even know her name) doesn't know how to do her job. I ended up leaving there with more, and less on my bill than she told me. Trevor really did it for my husband and I and I was EXTREMELY pleased! Especially since my husband and I have been struggling with a different location. Trevor is seriously the guy to go too! He broke everything down for us and made sure we got everything and more! The customer service Is pretty good everyone is very nice and the building is clean. Although I recommend completely skipping going to the store and just doing everything on the app. They make you wait an hour before they even can help you then all they do is help you get your order online. Then everything is shipped to you, you can't even get it at the store. If you are capable of ordering online just do that and skip the store completely. read more

Tremendously bad service. My phone broke right after purchase. Something was obviously wrong with it. I didn't purchase insurance and I don't believe people do anymore. It is a rip off and doesn't cover squat. Two days after purchase, I bring it back and the guy told me they can't do anything about it. Wrong. I believe I can cancel any service or phone within seven days. He refused. I went to another Verizon store and got what I wanted after much argument. I am going to ditch Verizon as soon as possible based on this crappy experience. I only went to this Verizon store because my phone stopped turning on while I was in my car on Miller Road. I wanted to get it replaced right then instead of waiting or going on with my errands without one. Total ripoff and unethical. So much for good service and the customer is always right. Been waiting now in the store for over an hour to even be spoken to. There are six employees here and only three are helping customers- I'm not sure what the others are supposed to be doing except talking to each other or the customers. The process is so slow that I anticipate another couple of hours ONCE I get someone to help. This is pathetic! Too long to wait and employees doing nothing to help. read more

Wish I could give a negative rating or at least zero stars. Very unprofessional employees. If you aren't spending a bunch of money, they treat you like they are doing you a favor by helping you. Furthermore I found out today that verizon blocks the fm radio chip in phones, so you can't access free fm radio, they force you to stream it in an attempt to force you to go over your data limit. I have visited a few other verizon stores and the service wasn't good but this location takes the cake. The empowers working here and the store manager should be ashamed of themselves for the way they treat paying customers. read more

BEWARE verizon is the place for bait and switch. it has happen to me 2 times. they will tell you a good price and you will pay it for one month. the next bill you get will be 20 dollars higher. Decided to try Verizon after over 20 years with A-TT. They must work on commission because the sales person said my contract was up with A-TT so I switched my wife and mine. I had to pay $240.00 to A-TT for switching one day early on my contract. Don't trust what the sales person says. read more

Too bad there isn't NEGATIVE options on here! They are beyond rude, they blatantly lie about deals and specials and are always seeming to sneak on little additional charges or accessories that were not asked for or discussed. I have had to call their customer support number so many times, at one point I could tell you which prompts to push! They are aggressive, un-knowledgeable, rude, threatening, scammers and just generally aloof, lazy and unpleasant. I even had a manager talk to me like I was stupid because I asked if he gave me my SD card when switching my phone, later to find out that he did not and made him search his outgoing packages for my phone to get all my information back! Another incident I had a guy lie over and over again when I was asking about refurbished phones, when I called him out on it he became very aggressive in the way he spoke to me and his mannerisms. At one point (after asking him to give me a minute) he gave me about 6 feet of space and paced back and forth punch one fist into his other hand just shaking his head "no". Like, are we going to fight dude?! I asked to speak to a manager and he left me waiting for 10 minutes, I asked someone else and they told me I needed to speak with my original sales ASSociate, when he came back, he returned without a manager. I was asking again (struggling to not lose my cool!) when he turned to walk away with no acknowledgment of me I got a little loud saying "SIR!" another, very laaarge male towered over me, glaring and pointing at the door for me to leave! DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE! This was just one out of MANY horrible, horrible incidents I have encountered! read more

Went in to get a replacement for the Wife's basic phone which had died. Was told by their employee, Terri, that we could get a smart phone instead and actually save $1-2. Making no other changes to our current account, 2 basic phones, 1 smart phone and 3 gigs of data with unlimited talk and text. Now, after 2 months our bill has increased about $15.00. Customer support has a big long explanation of how their agent got to that price, but won't honor it, or really do anything for me but suggest I lower my plan to make up the difference. They blame it on their agent "being a salesperson", meaning they will say, and promise, basically anything to make a sale. WARNING: Get everything they promise you in writing, and noted on your account, BEFORE YOU LEAVE! I so wish another company had coverage at my home! read more

I wish I could give this store a rating of zero or better yet a negative. I've been in many businesses that have poor customer service but the miller rd Verizon takes the cake. They are rude, slow, and all around just horrible. Unless of course your buying a $300 dollar phone, than they are all about treating you great. The last time I went to upgrade I found out the phone I wanted was in short supply bc it was free. I called ahead and was assured they had it in stock. Upon arriving at the store they didn't have it, not surprisingly. I'm not the smartest guy in the world but I'm not stupid either. The sales person decided to tell me they didn't have it bc I had no choice but to upgrade since my plod phone was dead, and wanted to sell me something more expensive. I opted for a different free phone bc I wasn't giving in to what he wanted, ironically that free phone was going to cost me $100 bc the salesman decided to add an accessory pack I didn't ask about or want. That's the kind of business this location is. They want to take tale take from their customers but never want to give. Do yourself a favor and go across the street to the best buy Mobile store in the mall. read more

Every time I come to this Verizon store I get terrible service. After this last time where they wouldn't switch phones between two different lines when I was able to call customer service and they were able to help me. If I could rate them in negative stars I would. This place is full of incompetent liars who sell you one thing but sign you up for Another and when you try to rectify the issue, it is met with more incompetence by the manager, Sarah, who hides behind legalities and policies she cannot explain and alleged evidence that she cannot produce. As a business owner myself, if I ran business this way, I would never have a single client. This is just the beginning of the complaints I will be lodging against This store, verizon wireless and Sarah and Brett. I specifically and clearly asked about hidden charges, fees and gimmicks about the alleged "deal" being offered which was met with multiple "it's free. It's free. It's free. You will save money this way". Now I'm paying for a device and service I never wanted without any alleged way to get out of it due to "legalities" and "policies" the manager cannot explain and apparently does not even understand. This location is a perfect example of a business that doesn't care about its customers. The customer service is atrocious. They treat you like they are doing you a favor. I have 4 lines on my current plan and I pay for insurance and I can tell you the insurance is a scam. No matter what your issue is, the insurance doesn't cover it. I upgraded 4 months ago and the charging cord for my phone is shot, I called and was told to bring it in, waited 40 minutes roughly only to be told I needed to call the phone manufacturer. I asked why I was told to just bring it in, the response was the employee must have thought I meant a Verizon charger. Why would I buy a second charger when the phone comes with one? The insurance in pay for should cover issues like this. That's the point of insuring something. Any issues you have are always someone else's problem. Either the manufacturer or Verizon's own customer service. It's never a store issue. If there was a legitimate way to get out of my contract I would do it in a heart beat. I realize the point of a business is to make money, but most businesses don't treat their customers like walking dollar signs, Verizon and specifically this store does.
