HEROES My wife's…read morephone died on Christmas Day. Couldn't get it to take a charge or power on. Apple Store could not connect to the device and said it would cost $500 for a new logic board. Even after that we wouldn't have access to the data. Four years of photos gone. Called one repair shop and they said I was out of luck. Called CPR and Simon said they'd give it a shot, charge me $50 to run a diagnostic, and only charge me for additional work IF they were confident they could get the data off. Took it in Sunday night as they were closing with little hope of recovering anything. After a couple days I got an update saying it would take board level repairs and while they've had success in the past, there are no guarantees. After a solemn week and a half, Norvin gave me a call and let me know they had been able to access the phone. About two hours later Simon calls to let me know they've been able to backup up the phone. Take in my wife's new home and they transfer it for us in less than an hour. These guys saved Christmas and gave us a great start to the new year. Highly recommend the team at CPR. THANK YOU GUYS!

My boyfriend recently dropped his iPhone 4S one too many times, so consequently the screen…read moreshattered like nothing I have ever seen before. We tried saving it just until he could get his free upgrade in a month by putting a screen protector on, but that just fell off and took small shards of glass with it. Since he is constantly on that phone for work, we decided it needed to be fixed. After stopping by an Apple store ($200 to fix a screen) and the Verizon store (between $150-200 -- can't remember exactly -- even with the Asurion insurance), we lost a little hope. We were about to go home and look on Amazon.com for a screen and install it ourselves, but then we remembered cell phone repair shops. We've never been to one, but it had to be less than $200, so we thought we might as well see. The owner (I'm assuming because he knew EVERYTHING) took the phone, gave us a very fair price and also said that it would only take 40 minutes! Not 40 hours, but freaking MINUTES! We ate next door at the Al Kabob restaurant (also very good) and shopped for a new cell phone case and screen protector just a building over. It was all fast and easy and they took very good care of us. Don't let Apple or your cell phone company rob you. These guys at this store know what they're doing for a very fair price.

I took the phone in the next day to ask him to please look into why these buttons have stopped working, and he flat out denied any "possibility" of being due to his repair, and stated I would need to pay more to repair this issue. This is either a blatant lie, or absolutely ignorant response, as the ribbon cable from the logic board to these buttons runs right UNDERNEATH the battery and is exposed.
