With a mall as busy as the Queens Center, I would expect this place to be hopping with annoyed Verizon customers looking to dispute a bill or get a phone replaced. But each time I've passed by the place, be it a week night or a weekend, it's always been fairly quiet and loaded with anxious employees eager to assist. Maybe Verizon is just that good, but I refuse to believe any wireless company is without flaws. Customer service is pretty good here, the front counter guys are quick to answer questions and are courteous while remaining semi-upbeat. Tech support on the other hand seems grumpy at times, but it's probably because they can't actually fix or replace any phones. They have always referred me to give the Verizon folks a call for them to send me a phone. That might be a better option anyway than having them diagnose it. Must give a shout out to Shanette! This woman is upfront, honest, and all around refreshing when it comes to customer service. Someone who is helpful, and not because they have to be, but because they genuinely want to be. And someone who doesn't try to BS you, make you spend money for their own gain, and simply lays down the hard facts. Can't appreciate that more. When she found out the plan my husband had, she flat out said "Don't change it!" because it's such a good deal. She also offered to write down everything we had discussed in terms of numbers, plans/pricing, so we could reference it at home. One of the rare people that actually offered to take the extra step to help a customer. We found out a lot of information, as we were not aware of some of the new Verizon changes and policies. This helped us to ultimately make a decision that was right for us. While I opted to delay getting a new phone, my husband went and got his, and Shanette helped him once again. We were lucky when we went -- it was a snowy Saturday morning around 10:30, right when it opened. Only two other customers inside, so it was not crowded or hectic. Don't bother. The customer service is pathetic. Walked in and the entire staff seems so non-motivated and uninterested to help anyone who needs assistance. Came in today and was interested in perhaps purchasing a. We iPhone or trading one in. I had a few questions and inquired about my options. The salesperson barely wanted to answer my questions and if he did he was very vague and not helpful. I asked him where I can find the iPhones he recommended and just pointed to the wall and left me figuring things on my after that. Needless to say - you would think he would walk me over and continue to service me and explain the various iPhones to me and help me with a purchase. Instead he rather not do his job and chatted with the other staff. Need I say the store was NOT busy and only two other customers. The other staff just sat around playing with their iPhones. OMG. I ended going one flight up to the APPLE STORE and had the most incredible professional experience. The staff and attitude was friendly and top notch! Great job APPLE! If anyone set the bar as to giving their customers the worst experience in customer service, this Queens Center Verizon would take the cake. I've went there to pick up my new phones, but it seemed that they get a laugh at seeing their customers get mad, because when I was there, I've seen them pick a fight with an old lady and then laugh at her when she was looking away. I've personally had to wait about 15 minutes after asking for help from 3 reps that weren't helping other customers, but I guess having McDonalds in the backroom was more important than taking care of waiting customers. These reviewers clearly don't know how Yelp works. Thankfully, I do. I've been going to this store located in QCM because I have a representative named Jan who really goes above and beyond in order to try and get me the best service. I really appreciate it and he's the reason that my mother and I travel the extra 30 mins out of way in order to go to this specific Verizon location. I asked again are u sure because last year you didn't receive any 6 plus's and she replied with an attitude "I said yes!" I didn't care for her tone but it gets better, I go in this morning and after I get in the store they tell me - "yeah we don't have many 6s plus's" one of the guys said they might have one (mind it I was second on line) this Indian guy goes in the back comes back says "no we don't have any" - now whether he's trying to save it for someone else is different question. I am a World Trade Center survivor who just recently received a kidney transplant. I am not supposed to be out in public but my phone broke and needed something quick. Customer service here was the absolute worse! All I needed was a phone. They wasted my time showing me accessories and an Apple Watch. The lady I dealt with said the manager told her what to bring me already knowing that the phone I wanted was not in stock and they refused to order the phone I wanted! Every time I go there, I have bad experience. Staff there do not care to help you. They are too busy using their phones. Today, 2 of them were on their phone, didn't even notice that I walked in. So I walked up to the cashier. 2 more staff were using their phones. One walked off, the other told me to hold on one second, then he continued to use his phone. I waited for 2 minutes and just gave up. When I said, "you know what, you are busy. never mind." he looked up for a moment, didn't say anything, just went back to phone. They are basically being paid to use their phones all day. Ridiculous. I came here to buy an IPhone and add a line to my existing plan. The sales agent I dealt with here was, in my opinion, underhanded in our dealing. First of all, she did not inform me of the $35 activation fee to add a line to my plan. I was already aware that there would be a fee of some kind and had to specifically inquire what the charge would be. I see no reason why the sales agent would not inform a customer of all charges about to be incurred in the transaction. This on its own is forgivable, but there's more. She brought out a screen protector for the phone which was not requested. The cost was $30 (insane for a screen protector). She was going to simply charge the $30 without asking if the protector was wanted. When I directly asked her about it she finally informed me of the price and said it came with at "lifetime warranty." I decided to purchase it for the effective $10 convenience tax of getting it there versus paying $20 elsewhere. Then she proceeded to put the protector on in the back room without asking me. Turns out that she did a horrendous job, in my opinion, as there are bubbles. The kicker is that she threw away the packaging. How am I supposed to get information about that "lifetime warranty" with ZERO documentation? I didn't notice the last bit until I was well out of the store. She also opened the packaging of the case purchased with the phone without asking (and thew the packaging away); generally you ask someone before opening their products. She turned the phone on in the back room and skipped a key set-up procedure for iCloud. I wasn't even aware of this until I was trying to set it up and had issues. I've never purchased a phone from a store where the staff didn't either let me set it up or walk through the setup with me (including this exact store, but that was years ago). On top of all of the above, she added a $9.99/month equipment protection plan to my bill. The problem is that I didn't give her permission to add it and she didn't ask me if she could. She just added it on her own and said absolutely nothing. I'm guessing that's why she didn't list down the charges at the end of the transaction. I only noticed it that day because she was so shady about the transaction that I checked into the charges and found that she added it to my bill. I called Verizon immediately and canceled it. I would advise you to go elsewhere for your Verizon Wireless store needs. However, if you can't avoid going here, be extremely vocal. Don't let them put on protective screens you buy (you will probably do a better job because you care about your own property). Ask them to list out any and all charges, especially if you don't want their extremely overpriced monthly extended warranty. Don't let them throw away your packaging in case there is some related warranty or the like which you need info on. read more

This review is for the g'zone casio cell phone No matter how stylish, rugged and modern a phone is has to work properly. I can't count how many times phone calls have simply not come through. A common excuse used by all cell phone companies is " we can not guarantee service in all areas". With that being said my wife has a black berry and all the phone calls come through all the time. This phone has been replaced 2 times and I still have issues with missed calls. This phone is water resistant and resistant to reception. Not worth the money. read more

They are extremely unprofessional. There was situation that occurred to where I called to speak to the manager Steve. He put me on hold and put another worker on. In which they spoke to me rudely and kept switching her story when I asked her who authorized this... me being the sole account holder. So she placed me on a brief hold and 3 way called me getting loud and unprofessional about how she wasn't wrong which I know she was since I spoke to the fraud dept already. Anyways it's not the first time this has happened to me with this store. FYI.....Anyone as long as they know your address and phone number can log into your account and get info! Not only were they not even aware of the promotion, but the woman who answered my call put me on hold and never came back. Stupid me, waited 20+ minutes before I realized she was not coming back. In the time I was waiting I found my answer on the Verizon site and Google. I will never go back to this location. ATTENTION TO ALL: you're better off calling a Verizon Representative on the phone. I went into this store because my brother's android broke and I had a spare Verizon IPhone 6plus. I asked the guy (Shiraz, Solutions Manager) and he said we can switch his number onto the phone. After 15 minutes he said we were good to go. It was our mistake that we didn't check to see he did a proper job. We left and were eating in the FC and his phone was not working. We went back and he said we couldn't do it because I bought the phone at an Apple Store and the Verizon Store has no authorization to put their service on the phone. It made no sense to me because I paid full price for this iPhone on Verizon Carrier. He took my SIM card and gave me my phone back. He said he couldn't help us. I asked him why he took my SIM card and he said it wasn't activated and there was nothing on it. It made no sense because i brought my phone in WITH A SIM CARD. LOng story short I went to apple and they told me whatever he said was absolutely invalid. And they got me on the phone with Verizon and the representative told me that he doesn't know why someone at a Verizon Store would say that. He needs to go back to training and he's rude.
