    Visible is Verizon's cheaper, deprioritized phone service. I'm basing this 2-star review on a few…read moredifferent criteria: 1. The quality, speed, and value of the phone service 2. The online cell phone shopping experience 3. Customer service's friendliness and ability to help solve problems 4. The app and website user experience Noting the good first: First, I think Visible's value in terms of the phone service itself is good. I don't usually notice bad cell reception, and typically have enough speed to get by without remembering I'm on a deprioritized network getting the sloppy seconds from any real Verizon users near me. So overall, I rate the service pretty highly. In terms of cost, because I'm in a party with 3 other family members, each of pays $25/month for phone service. I love that even though we're on a plan together, we're still able to be billed and to manage our profiles individually. Visible gets a thumbs up for affordability and innovation. Second, Visible's customer service team is very kind. Well meaning, even if not very helpful, people are on the other end of the online chat. Wait times can be high, and issues are not easy to get resolved, but hey, they're nice! Now onto the not so good: I have to say, for being a multi-billion dollar tech company, it surprises me how sloppy Verizon's mobile and online platforms are for Visible. The website and the app are both horrendously ridden with bugs that impact users in big ways, and I haven't yet found a good avenue for getting the bugs resolved in a timely manner. For example, my sister is currently desperate for a new phone. Her current phone is old and has run its course and she needs a phone to do her work. Visible receives a few more points for innovation because they allow shoppers to purchase both new and used/refurbished phones (I don't see refurbished phone buying options at places like AT&T and Verizon) but sadly no points for execution. My sister tried multiple times on both the website and the app to purchase the refurbished phone she wanted using many different payment methods, and every time she got error messages that wouldn't let the sale commence. On the website, we were able to get all the way to "submit order" before getting an error. On the app, the bugs showed up well before that step and we couldn't even attempt to buy a phone. So. Many. Bugs. Customer service sent us tons of ideas to try, none of which worked, and after they'd kindly run through a myriad of tasks for us to try they finally gave up. "Your account is having an issue that will not let you buy the phone" and "I'm so sorry for this" is all we were told. See my point? Kind, and not at all helpful. After the build up of frustration that ensued and the time wasted, we purchased a phone elsewhere. Business literally lost for no better reason than the software development team at Visible can't seam to fix crucial bugs in their system. Even trying to do a simple thing like changing my shipping address on my account is impossible. I gave up. The system bugs out and enters random text and refuses to save the correct address. I've learned that I can't rely on visible to feel or sound or act like a telecommunications company at the scale, technical capacity or professionalism of one of the moguls in the industry. It is simply 2nd best. Or maybe 5th or 6th best. If you need cheap service and have time to jump through the onboarding hoops, understanding nobody is employed to assist you in person if/when issues arise and you'll be chatting with someone on a bug-infested web platform, then go with visible. If you don't want the headache of needing literally anything else most service providers offer, including easier problem solving, pay more for way less hassle with real Verizon, AT&T, or T-mobile.

    I purchased a 17e iPhone about a month ago and although I have been with Visible for about 4/5…read moreyears I decided to switch my phone service to my TV provider to have it under one account however after paying for the transfer I was told that I have to stay with Visible 365 days in order for them to unlock my phone. I feel like I'm being held hostage for the next year although I paid for my phone in full! I was also told that I only had 14 days to return the phone!! I've had the phone for less than 30 days!! I would strongly advise anyone thinking about switching or using Visible for their phone service. Please do your research
