DO NOT EVER... EVER do business with Verizon. Especially at this particular location. Not only does Verizon bait and switch, they are incompetent, dismissive and RUDE! In particular the manager named DESTINY! You may have seen her name mentioned in previous reviews and they are not exaggerated. This person should really be named DENSITY. She was rude and incompetent. As for her customer interaction, a dead fish would have a warmer personality. I don't know how Verizon tolerates much less keeps her there in a managerial position. But judging from my overall experience with them I.e. their online chat, over the phone call center agents and in person sales people, they really sell you the world and provide no follow up-- ABSOLUTELY NO FOLLOW UP to provide resolution for customer satisfaction. All I got was deflection and promises that the issue would be resolved... later. Not on the spot... LATER! How can they improve? If they want to improve, they should let AT&T buy them and let the AT&T teams handle everything. I cannot emphasize enough how anyone should not ever do business with them. Unless you are a masochist and enjoy being put on hold for an hour at a time and then constantly be told to " hold please." The other person you should avoid is Amir. There are two there but the one that should be especially avoided is "little" Amir. He serviced us and did not thoroughly process our contract. Now Destiny said it was not his fault. That means the fault lies with management for not approving the paperwork. So in conclusion, AVOID VERIZON LIKE THE PLAGUE!! They should have their licenses revoked and their business shuttered. And if there any lawyers who read this, they should consider a class action lawsuit against this business for disreputable business practices. read more

Thank G*d it was by the Store Manager today because I applaud his leadership. He took accountability of his floor sales persons for neglecting their basic duties of greeting a customer or providing a status ETA when they would be attended to. He even apologized and said he clearly articulated his expectations to his staff; which obviously were not followed today and fell on deaf ears. Went into verizon today for a 3rd time to try and get my DPP fixed because of a crazy error on the back end. I'll spare everyone the details, but we were able to figure it out. I do want to shout out one person on the Verizon team that helped me out for over 90 mins. Deandre!!! He explained to me the situation, we hoped on the phone with customer service and began waiting for 30, then 60, then 90 mins before resolving the issue. Fast and efficient service that resolved my issue within 15 minutes. I had recently returned from an international trip where I was using a digital SIM card. Upon returning to the states, I tried to switch back over to my primary SIM but experienced technical difficulties. Long story short, my SIM was deleted and I was without service. I had originally stopped by the Stonestown location but the dude there didn't want to help nor offer to put me in the queue at the store. He also told me that there would be a mandatory charge for them to activate my eSIM as a means to get rid of me. I then called in to tech support which resolved the problem but the issue returned the following day. Like many, I wish I didn't have to leave a Star. In fact, I would leave negative stars. Came to this store because it's huge and close to my home. I was the first one in the store. I even waited outside for it to open. I told the clerk my problem. Simple cancellation of service to one of my tablets. I guess it was too complicated for the clerk. He handed me a 8.5 x11 paper with a phone number to call. Why have this building here if you don't take care of customers problems. I got home and called the number. They kept me on hold on the phone for over an hour. Once these conglomerates get big, they just don't give a sh*t. It makes no sense. If you walk in to buy something they are willing to help. A staff member saw me but made no effort to help, even though she (Destiny) assisted other customers. The service was so slow, it makes you go backwards in time...I hope the football game that the manager and staff were watching in the back office was a good one(...the manager was there for most of my time in the store. I am not sure what to say other than he asked me to leave and refused to help me because I was mad. (I was undeniably mad, my mistake was pointing out that I had watched him walk around doing zero for the entire wait outside of his office visits for game playing. What a joke. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Horrible customer service. Rude rude rude. Not even a hello when we walked in. Isn't that the first thing they teach you- greet the customers and make them feel welcomes. Guess these employees didn't learn that. I came in with my mom and she's not that great with technology, so we made an appt to get help with her new phone. However, the employee helping us, DESTINY, rude rude rude. She had a horrible attitude and did not want to help us whatsoever. There was nobody else in the store but she acted like she had something else she needed to do. She leaves us by saying "okay well I'm going to leave now if you don't need any more help," and then sits at the other desk just tapping away on her phone with her long ugly nails. Came here around 11 on a Saturday. 5 stars for Manager David (I think-goes by DJ) Was checked in right away. I think the staff were rotating breaks when we got there so when the manager saw us waiting for a little bit he stepped in and help. Bought a phone from Best Buy and was having trouble activating the cellular network. Manager needed to call to have the problem fix. He was super courteous and resolved our issue. Tip come early! A lot of people use the Verizon lot to get to mall so long line of cars can form making it difficult to get out. read more

I wait an hour to get help, then it takes another hour for me to get my new phone and account, coming over from AT&T. I get home and it's not activated, not on the Verizon network. I go to my account and use the number to find and activate the service, can't find the number, no record of it. It takes me a week to find the time to get there again. I walk into the store and wait a half an hour for someone to help. All I need is the phone to be activated, but it's too close to closing and they won't stay past the exact closing time, so I need to make an appointment. It's not that easy with my schedule, so I say no problem, let's return the phone and cancel the account. For some reason that's a big deal with the guy. Well, maybe you would have had time to activate my phone if you weren't busy upselling super ultra mega 5g to little old ladies who don't need it. Seriously, this is what I witnessed while I was waiting. Conning an old woman into a more expensive plan. Disgusting. I left the phone and the contract sitting there and walked out. I can't say enough negative things about this store. First off, a lot of them have their masks below their noses and half covering their face. Secondly, when I went on Friday at 1pm they had a line of 10 people and as they walked though they told each one of us that they couldn't help us. My issue was my hot spot wasn't working...they said they couldn't help and to call customer service. The woman in front of me drove from San Francisco to get a Sim card, they said they could help her. The guy behind me wanted help with his bill, they said their tablet wasn't working and to go call customer service. The weird thing is that they wouldn't let any one of us in the store, not even one person in the store at a time. Inside were just two employees behind the counter talking, then outside was the manager and a guy at a table who only took care of "business accounts." I tried activating my new Google Pixel 7a via eSIM through Verizon's automated phone system immediately after finishing up at work but was left with it somehow activated but with no QR code to scan in order to download my eSIM. Alas, I was also unable to speak to a representative, as I have an east coast phone number, and customer service hours had already passed for me. (Please fix this, Verizon.) Anyway, I went to the Verizon store at Serramonte and spoke with DJ. There were, unfortunately, no more appointments available, but DJ offered to generate a QR code for me to see if it'd allow me to finish activating my phone. Thankfully, the QR code did just that. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my 78 years. I went into this store because my phone went completely blank. I just wanted them to help me get back all of my information. The tech who greeted me at the door was fine. When I was directed to a tech to help me, I was met by a rude, arrogant young man. I told him my problem and he reluctantly looked at my phone. He told me it would cost $30.00 for the service. I agreed to pay it. He then told me it would take too long and he wasn't willing to do it. He was so bored, rude and arrogant. I left the store with my phone still a blank screen. I will be leaving Verizon. I see from other comments that many people have had the same experience as I did. This began with me bringing my DAMAGED Pixel 3 cell phone in to my nearest Verizon store for repair or replacement 6/29/2022.  The representative who assisted me, Mr. J. Barnett. offered me a MOTOROLA EDGE 5G UW.  He assured me that it could be charged wirelessly.  I took the MOTOROLA EDGE 5G UW home and, over several days and the ordering and reception of more than one wireless charger, found that the MOTOROLA EDGE 5G UW WILL NOT CHARGE WIRELESSLY. I have Essential Tremor. It is a condition in which my hands shake when I try to get them to do precision things, like hold a fork, or a glass. It can make plugging in the phone for charging difficult.   7/7/2022 I revisited the same Verizon store to work with representative, Mr. I. Butler in exchanging the Motorola Edge 5G UW - due to its inability to charge wirelessly - for a different cell phone. I mentioned to Mr. Butler that having a wirelessly rechargeable phone was important due to my Essential Tremor. I told Mr. Butler that I would miss the fingerprint reader of the Motorola Edge 5G UW. I told him I wanted something that measured up to the 5G UW. I don't know why, but Mr. Butler decided that I should get a Samsung Galaxy S22. I suspect it had to do with a larger profit margin. Butler told me nothing about the phone. I knew nothing about the Samsung unit, but agreed to the exchange including paying some kind of buy back penalty based on the Google Pixel 3 I first brought in 6/29/2022. I was up until 3:45am, 7/8/2022, trying to get the Samsung to behave. Its fingerprint recognition was close to useless. I was stuck with a Samsung cell phone that the VERIZON rep pressed on me. I knew then that I wanted to take the Samsung S22+ back and get a MOTOROLA EDGE + with MAXIMUM storage.  I went back to the 6470 FM 1960 West VERIZON store 7/8/2022, to work with yet another Verizon representative to exchange the Samsung GALAXY S22+ phone for a MOTOROLA EDGE + only to find that they would not.  I'm angry about this.  None of this would have happened if Verizon representative, J. Barnett had not steered me wrong about the Motorola Edge 5G UW being wirelessly chargeable! It was explained to me that there are rules/policies about multiple exchanges.  I understand that. I also understand that mine is a special situation brought about by - 1. A Verizon rep who led me astray regarding the wireless charging ability of the MOTOROLA 5G UW and 2. A Verizon rep who did not ask me what I wanted but simply brought out the horrible Samsung S22+. If I'm going to be paying massively for a phone by way of VERIZON, I SURE DO want to be happy with the phone. I, very much, DO NOT LIKE the Samsung GALAXY S22+ phone that I was sold.   I want VERIZON to make an exception for me and the situation I've explained. I want VERIZON to happily take back the Samsung S22+ and set me up with a MOTOROLA EDGE + with maximum storage. Rules SHOULD be bent sometimes. This is one of those times. read more
