Verizon Overall, synonym to disastrous experience since day one! They hike their phones' cost and make you believe you're getting a 50% off. Their 5G sucks, extremely poor service even in the heart of the city and to top it all their promotion that expires after 2 years of service, it's in the contract, allows them to hike the monthly fees into helping themselves through the ACH linked to the account. I have been a customer of verizon for 23 years. I have been trying to return the internet gateway box for 3 months. They charged me for not returning it and today I spent 2 hours at a UPS Store trying to get the info I needed to send the box back. I have had it with verizon. This store is at the corner of Ponce de Leon in Coral Gables. The people working there used to be so friendly and helpful. During our visit today the current manager and his female sales associate were so unnecessarily unpleasant to speak with that we decided to quietly leave. VERIZON telephone customer service is beyond bad. Their agents, located internationally, operate out of rogue call centers, and these agents do not know the company nor can they help you. While you are ask them questions on the telephone, they are instructed to type in that question into a A.I. search engine in hopes they can read you back whatever information appears. As we all know, this is not how customer service agents should conduct themselves. Also, you can do this service without wasting your time by calling VERIZON. If they tell you something and you reply on this information to your financial detriment, you screwed. You have to pay VERIZON. You cant use the excuse you relied on information provided by company telephone support as an out. Unfortunately, VERIZON telephone customer service is a disease that can really hurt you. Find a COMPANY owned VERIZON store. There are a few around. For me I have to travel far to visit one. At these stores, there are real VERIZON employees, who live locally, who can give you fair and reasonable cell phone advice you can rely on. Good luck. read more

Went in to switch my services from AT&T to Verizon. I was helped by a younger looking guy named George. He was the absolute best. He knew his stuff had a super easy-going personality and made the overall experience there pleasant and informative. I left there knowing exactly what my plan would offer, how much more or less I would be getting compared to my previous provider, the kind of information that I would find on the mobile app, and what I could do with it, and he really tried to do everything in his power to get me the best deal. Pretty good store that has everything if you have a Verizon store. Open later than others on weekends (6 pm on Sundays). The manager could be a bit more professional and the staff could move a bit faster though. Top notch customer service! I have been provided with great service by all of the following upon three (3) visits to this store; Jonas (manager), Omar (manager), female assistant manger, elder gentleman with glasses and another young man whom I can't remember his name but helped me with accessories for my new cell phone. The managers went above and beyond to help me resolve issues I had with an older cell phone model, transferring out from a family plan to be able to become a loyal customer on my own with a new cell phone plan. My situation was a bit stressful, confusing and took a bit of work to sort through. They had to get assistance from a representative by the name of Erick (1177) over the phone because there was also an error on the website. I am extremely impressed how knowledgeable these managers are including Erick. First time, I visit a store and there were three (3) managers during a visit to a store. During my visit they expressed composure, a positive attitude, professionalism and eagerness to resolve the issues. It shows that they know their job and that they love what they do. In a world of technology with customers like me who are not tech savvy, I am grateful that they fully understand their job with such poise and confidence. It goes to show if you are willing to make a customer happy, you can. I left on a timely manner to be able to attend an event with my son. Thank you so much for helping me. We stopped here to grab the new Samsung Galaxy S III a while back. There was no line and the switch to the new phone was easy peasy. They answered our multitude of questions and recommended the holster + case accessory box. We were wary of holsters because they look nerdy as hell, but luckily the hubby's uniform hides it. Safer than putting it in his pocket and risking it falling out. The case has a little handy "kickstand" that allows the phone to stand up vertically or horizontally on a flat surface, which comes in handy because the phone is huge. Unfortunately the phone was dropped once and two corners of the case broke off, but the phone is unharmed. The only negative part of this experience was that I got the brush off when I asked a different associate (who was socially chatting with another co-worker and wandering around the store) about another product on display. He didn't make eye contact and told me to ask the associate who was helping the hubby. I guess he thought if he wasn't getting a commission then why bother answering my random question. As far as I could tell, there is only street parking. read more

Customer Service was excellent -I've been to other Verizon stores - since I am a long time customer...and this was the first one where I didn't mind spending money.... although I really did not need to buy the expensive phone that I chose (totally foregoing the cheaper phone with full rebate that could not download Yelp...I mean..really- a phone without being able to check in is just useless--right?). The salespeople were patient as I asked all my questions - and took the time to tell me about a discount I qualified for as a professor. Cool -- anyway...I need to log off my computer and play with yelp on my new Droid...yeah...it is as good as the iPhone...what? You don't believe me...go talk to Javier at Verizon Wireless...he'll tell you! One star off for no free parking...Be care with the street parking-.only a minute after my meter expired - I got a parking ticket :-( I guess I have to add it to the cost of my new phone. I can always consider myself lucky with all the discounts I get from Yelp, Living Social, Groupon etc. hmmm...maybe I can find app discounts off parking tickets to download on my new phone....hmmmm. read more

Four stars for a cell phone provider branch? I'm as shocked as you are. Wireless phone carriers (and their sales branches) are notoriously crummy, boasting laughable customer service and eternally long lines. But, I had an exceptional experience at this particular locale, so I thought it only fair to share it with the world! I have a high-tech phone for work, so on my personal plan, I just have a basic, crappy phone to keep my number intact. Well, my old one broke, so insurance sent me a new one, which also didn't work. So I went into the branch for assistance. The staff could have just sent me packing, because technically, it's Asurion (the Verizon insurance company) who has to send me a new phone. But, they didn't, they took care of me. I think it was the store manager, actually. She dialed Asurion for me, waited on the phone, and walked me through the whole process. Very cool. And very non-typical. After that, the BF got help from some other friendly staffers on getting a new phone. The whole process was quick, friendly & efficient. Will def. be coming back to this locale for any future Verizon needs. read more

This is the most unhelpful Verizon store I have been to. I typically have a good experience with Verizon, but this store makes me want to return the new phone I just got and cancel the account I just opened. I had an account with Verizon for about 3 years. I had a phone break earlier this year and went in to this location to have them help assist me with sending it in. I originally had stopped by the Dadeland location where they told me I could come in and they would help me fill out the paperwork. At the Coral Gables location I went in and asked for assistance. They gave me a number and told me to call it. When I pointed out that my phone was broken they shrugged their shoulders and inferred it was my problem. I promptly cancelled my account and opened a month to month plan with TMobile. When it came time for me to upgrade to a new phone I started thinking about options and I gave this store the benefit of the doubt. Maybe the representative had been having a bad day! Who knows!? So I go in, get a new phone, ask for a case, and the representative comes out with a screen protector and an external charger. He puts on the screen protector without asking if I want to buy it and tells me to buy the external charger at a heavily discounted price. I was so excited about my new phone that it all happened so fast and I didn't realize until I got home that I had been duped! The screen protector FELL OFF from the representative's application within TWO DAYS. I then go look at my account and the representative had added on phone protection, which I had not asked for, and had failed to mention the one time service fee. This is after I had asked him repeatedly if my bill would be around $100 because that is what I had budgeted for. Imagine my surprise today when I received my bill and it is $170! I am very frustrated and will be going out of my way now to the Dadeland location to return the screen protector, the external charger, and adjust my account. I never write yelp reviews, but I really just wish the Coral Gables location was as accommodating as other locations. Very disappointing. It's inconvenient to have to go to Dadeland when the Coral Gables location is within walking distance from me. read more

This Verizon store took a really long time to help me. I went in with a simple task of getting a new sim card but it took well over 30 minutes. The person that was helping me - I think he was part of management - kept getting interrupted by other staff members and would leave me to help them instead. If he was a manager, I understand why he would be continued to be asked for support but then he should have assigned me to someone else. I ended up getting a parking ticket from this experience. There is no reason why getting a new sim card should take longer than 10 minutes. I will say he was very nice and helpful but the service other patrons received was far better than what I experienced. read more

I've never written a bad review in my life, but DANG the sales person George was INCREDIBLY RUDE to me! I expected him to be a bit nicer as I was about to purchase a 950 dollar phone.... He made a mistake on the price twice and then when I confronted him on it, went into a defense to say "what sales person told you that, huh?" When I had come into the store the previous day and asked how much it was to "upgrade" which apparently is a Verizon scam because it doesn't actually mean upgrade! It just means you are done paying off your phone so you can get a new one now! Technically I was eligible for an "upgrade" the first day I got my old phone because I had paid in full! What B.S. I checked out other carriers including StraightTalk Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, and obviously AT&T. I switched over to Verizon Wireless--got a special promo going on for the J3 Mission Galaxy which with a prepaid plan goes from $99.99 to $19.99 for the phone if you transfer your numbers in. From the moment I got the service it was working so well and I really liked the Samsung android, notably as a longtime Apple iPhone user. Honestly I felt that the price of the iPhone X was pretty high so I decided to go with a better carrier and a nice prepaid phone for the time being until I decide to pull the trigger on an iPhone X, which is pretty much sold out anyway, although you can get an iPhone 8 in the store. I had a little bit of a wait, and I see people giving some bad reviews for that, I say, come on, it takes time to process these orders. Another time I went in and it was a fast, so that's hit or miss. The store also had a good selection of accessories like phone cases. . read more

Unlike Boston Verizon Wireless stores, this one is not packed - and you will be provided IMMEDIATE service. Having my issues taken care of right away is a great start. Competent help is also valuable and seeing these guys did something that no person or supervisor at Verizon technical support could not do over the phone - I was pleased with my visit as well. I would give this Coral Gables Verizon Wireless location Five Stars - and overall Verizon Wireless One Star. I would discourage anyone from signing up with Verizon Wireless who lives in South Beach (like I do) or Downtown Miami. Verizon Wireless does not have a single store in South Beach or Downtown Miami hence my having to drive to Coral Gables. Also, my recent Verizon Wireless support has been awful. They sent me a used refurbished broken phone to replace my broken phone still under warranty (they've done this repeated times). They also sent me no return shipping label to return their broken phone, no address to ship to if I wanted to pay and ship it on my own, their website/"system" is down for TWO DAYS now so I am unable to print a return shipping label on their website, the Coral Gables store refused to take the phone back because they said they "can't", and Verizon's customer service REFUSES to email me a return shipping label citing it's against company policy and they cannot do it. I have five different failed ways of being unable to return their broken phone (none of my own fault), and now they're threatening to turn off my service if I do not pay them $450 for the replacement phone or return the broken one despite providing me ZERO way to return it. So while the Coral Gables store is great, and if you're stuck and need help, they're very competent and readily available (if corporate allows them to with their ridiculous policies). read more

for a number of years, the executives or maybe the regional manager has just not valued providing service at the verizon owned retail stores in this area i am a long term verizon customer for the cell phone service, not customer nor sales support at a retail level. the employees are all commission salespeople there are a few long term employees who both understand the product and can provide some level of support. when i go to this store, because i cannot avoid it, i look for one of the long term employees i know or ask for the assist manager. half of the other people likely were selling used care or flipping burger a few months ago. this store used to have a tech support desk. that was taken out a few years ago. now they assume a commission salesperson will be providing tech support and most barely know how to use a phone basic feature much less trouble shooting or teaching advanced features. horrible merchants this is not the fault of anyone in the store. it is how verizon's management choses to do business why deal with verizon at all: the best cell network read more

I don't like the cheap tactics this store uses to get people in their door. I know that the iPhone 6 is hot item these days but when asked if they have in stock, when they clearly don't they use cheap tactics to get you in the door to either sell you another thing or tell you they can order it on line. Shoot, I can order on line! The best way is to just be honest if you have a product a customer wants to buy. I think Verizon has a decent enough service so it's better to deal with them either on line, yourself, or use customer support. Now 7 months later I am still waiting for it and they said it is only $60 because I had traded in an iphone. But they did not tell me that when I bought the phone.
