I needed to change cell phones, and after having T-Mobile for some 7 years, I was ready to move over to Verizon. As much as I've loved T-Mobile's excellent customer care and prices, my employer provides a decent discount for Verizon, AND my on-star carphone choice is 1) the somewhat expensive onstar phone rate or 2) verizon. So Verizon it is. I went into the Verizon Store in Sugarhouse, and also the one in the Gateway, but found both to be rather busy, crazy, 'take a number and wait in line' type places. I did enjoy trying out the phones there, as they were all hooked up and ready to go, not just non-working "models" but real phones available to play with. But I just don't like waiting for salesguys with lots of people, screaming babies and very few places to sit down and ask lots of questions. They are not comfortable stores. I happened to be in Centerville, and spotted the My Bullfrog sign with the Verizon logo. Ah. Peace. No crazy crowds, no long waits, just nice salespeople with soft voices. They were full of information, matched the smoking phone deal I had found online, were very kind to my elderly mother who was excited to have a very nice camera in her new cellphone. Bonus, a free membership card for $15 for stuff from their store, and then they sent me another one in the mail. I just bought a car charger from them for 35 cents after the discounts and bonus card. Another bonus, a new cellphone came out just as my "one month" trial period was expiring, and I traded in my Voyager for a juicy EnV Touch which I am CRAZY about. They were very friendly, took their time and were able to answer every question I threw their way. If you're going Verizon, save the headache and go to My Bullfrog. I ordered two phones for in store pick up. i went to pick then up and, they could not get the phones released from their system. No big deal, I'll come back and get them the next day. I go the next day to get them, wait about 45 minutes while the one store agent is helping someone else and, still could not pick them up. I honestly don't even remember why. Third time was a charm! Got the phones! Did I mention I was a new customer to Verizon? I was hoping for some help because of number transfers from AT&T. No help at this local. I went to the store in Bountiful, paid $30 just to be told there is an issue with one of the phones and it will not connect to Verizon. I'm told that I have to take it back to the store I picked them up from. no problem, they don't close until 7 and it's 6:15 6:20 when I get to this store. The person working had already shut down everything because they didn't know their holiday hours started that day. No problem, I'll come back again. I return on Saturday, no one is at the store, the person working never gets out of the chair and tells me, they can't help me. Was I angry? Lil bit, then to show how helpful they were they made a pity call to their "manager" who said sorry no, can't help. The moral of this story is, I walked right next-door to the AT&T and returned my service. Now I'm just hoping Verizon sends me the things needed to return the two phones. i should have known it was bad when the person who first helped me quit that very night. Stay away from this store. I was talked into purchasing their insurance on my phone. I bought a used Samsung galaxy s3 from them for about $250. I recently dropped it and broke the screen. I called to make a claim and there is a $199 deductible. I know 100% that I was told it was $50. There is no way anyone would ever pay a little over $10/month for insurance that has that high of deductible. They really miss represent their insurance. I can buy the same phone in great shape at the mall used with a warrantee for $189. They lie and steal your money on wasted insurance. read more

For Christmas my wife and I decided to upgrade 3 phones on our account and change our service plan to have more data. While in the Store the Store Manager sold us on an 8 inch tablet saying we could get it for only $10 a month. We were hesitant at first, but thought it could come in handy. After our bill came out we realized that the $10 a month wasn't accurate but that we were also now leasing the tablet at an additional $12.50 a month. My wife went back into the store to have them correct the error, only to be told there is nothing they can do. I have called in many times only to be told the store manager is unavailable and will call me back. Meanwhile, time ticks on. My wife and I were mislead and sold an item we didn't want, but thought for the price solictied to us we could get use out of it. read more

Went to Bullfrog to switch to Verizon from another cell phone provider. The first visit seemed like it was going to be a smooth transaction. Got approved to purchase phones. They didn't have them in stock. Ordered them. The salesman let me know they had the phones. Went in to get connected. Only to find out they only had one of my phones not all three. They couldn't provide me with an explanation and told me the associate i dealt with wasn't there. The associate i talked to was not helpful. All i was told was nothing they could do. I asked to speak to the manager. He wasn't there. I asked them to have him call me. They told me he doesn't call customers. Ended up ordering the other two phones from Verizon. Had them the next day. Went in to pick up the phone that they received for me from Verizon, They were trying to fix there mistakes and tried to order two more phones. I couldn't pick up my third phone because now due to them ordering two more phones it put me over my limit. I wouldn't recommend going to this branch. Other branches may be fine, But the sales associates and manager at this store do not provide good customer service and they try to cover up there mistakes with dishonesty. read more

I spent over $900 in the store several months ago and was happy with the service and product. This morning, I went in with a simple question I had about my Xoom. Before I could get a word out, I was immediately told that they could not answer any questions but that I would have to contact the Verizon help line. I was traveling and left my charger in Idaho. I purchased a car charger, a usb data cable and a usb ac chrgr from this store on June 17, 2013. I stayed at a hotel near the SLC airport and traveled to AZ the next day. The equipment sold to me was not powerful enough to charge my phone. A trip to a "real" Verizon store confirmed that the chargers were inadequate for my phone. I contacted the Centerville store and was told to return items for a refund. The items were returned and signed for on July 1, 2013. It is now August 1, 2013 and they have yet to provide a refund. My advice-stay out of "fake" Verizon stores. read more

Update: I just filed a formal complaint with The Utah Attorney General's office regarding the sketchy business practices of this particular MyBullfrog/Verizon store and it's employees. Bait and switch. Plain and simple. Verizon's shady sales tactics should be investigated. First I need to back up a bit.... I went in to the Bullfrog Store last August to inquire as to when my upgrade would be available. That was it. After the "gentleman" (who was kicked back in his tall chair with his foot up on the desk...super professional) looked up my account, he informed me "you know...in looking at this, if I updated some information, I can save you $10.00 a month." Fast forward to a month ago.... I went in for the upgrade I qualified for.....ordered my new phone to be picked up 4 days later because they didn't have the one I wanted. TWO DAYS after picking up and activating the new phone, I received a text from Verizon telling me that my Data was about to expire. HUH?! Not possible. I have unlimited everything. So, I call the number listed for the Centerville Bullfrog store....which routes you to a call center in Boise, Idaho. I was told by the customer service guy that by changing my plan to "The Edge" plan, I lost my unlimited data. I was NEVER, I repeat, NEVER told this would happen. Verizon is doing away with their unlimited data plans one plan at a time. And this is how they're doing it!! By NOT disclosing to their customers that ANY changes made will result in the loss of their "grandfathered in" unlimited data. If I HAD known that by "updating some info." I would lose my unlimited data, I NEVER WOULD HAVE DONE IT!! WHO WOULD?!! I finally found out that I lost my unlimited data back in AUGUST when the douche canoe with his foot up on the desk updated my account. POOF! Change to account....lose unlimited....without telling me it would happen. And now....wouldn't you know....by sheer coincidence??....for the two months that I've had my "upgrade", I've run out of Data mid-way through the billing cycle. I never ran out of data before. Why you ask? Because I had no problems connecting to the wi-fi at work or at home. Now I do, so my phone automatically kicks in to using my data. Even at home, as soon as I log into the wi-fi...all of our other devices (phones, iPads, computers) lock up and the internet speed goes to dial up speed. Turn the wi-fi Off on my phone...*POOF!*....back to faster speeds. Hmmmmm.....interesting. Never had trouble before. Now I feel I'm forced, bull-frog-ied into paying for more data. Shady. Oh....and if they try to sell you the magic indestructible, shatter resistant, bullet-proof, super-dee-duper glass to put over the face of your phone....say no. The manager all but Woop-Wooped, high fived and chest bumped himself after a woman left the store....he was proclaiming his sales prowess in getting her to buy not one, but THREE of them! (as he strutted across the store saying all this out loud for all the land to hear!.....ummm, dude...I'm sitting right here. How do you NOT see me? I am so unhappy with Chase and Nick. I had previously had good experiences before with them but not this last time. I went in to upgrade 3 phones and out right buy 1 flip phone for my kiddos. Half way through, the person who was helping me left and someone else finished. I thought everything was great as usual until I received my next monthly bill.....THEY HAD PUT ME ON A 2 YEAR AGREEMENT FOR THE FLIP PHONE I HAD PURCHASED FULL PRICE! When I went in to talk to Chase, he said it was past the 14 days return policy and he would contact Nick to see what they could do. AND THAT IS IT....NOTHING HAPPENED!!!! No contact from either one since. I am now stuck in a contract that I shouldn't have because they screwed up.
