I had a tech issue and went into the Apple Store at StationPark. I first spoke with J, who was abrupt and unhelpful. She quickly told me I couldn't upgrade my phone's storage--flat out--without offering any explanation or alternative. On top of that, she was chewing gum right in my face, which felt not just rude but gross. Basic respect and professionalism was completely missing. I asked for speaking with someone else. Updated review: Got new iPhones a month ago. Apparently you are supposed to go onto apple website and make a reservation to purchase or for help. They do take walk-ins although the worker is not thrilled that you aren't aware enough to use the new "normal " way. There are some table with stools that you can try to wait at although it's preferred that you walk around the store trying to look at samples. It would be so much nicer if they had a waiting area with couches. I can't be happy walking around in circles looking at the same things over and over. Service: we didn't have to wait very long (about15 minutes) to be helped. The person was professional (tho dressed like a hipster-I guess this is the new "professional " look. We got our phones setup without problems. Then we went down to tricked out to get screen protectors . Apple Store is clean and modern and unimpressive. Could benefit from a better waiting area. Maybe Apple could install a coffee shoppe to be totally relaxing and going with the hipster aesthetic. I walked in about 30 minutes early for my Genius Bar appointment, and when all the check-in hosts were busy, I walked to the genius bar and tried to check in with a man with glasses and reddish blond hair leaning against the counter. I said I want to checkin, he said "I don't usually do that" and he told me I was too early and to LEAVE THE STORE! He made me walk around outside in the heat for 20 minutes before I came back "on time" even though I wanted to shop! He literally said "what don't you take a lap or two" and I was astonished and left feeling unwelcome as he YELLED AT HIS TEAM about checking people in when they walk in. The RUDEST PERSON IN RETAIL I have ever experienced. Aren't you managing an Apple Store where you want customers to shop?! I came in in a panic today, my iPhone 14 Pro Max 512 gb phone broke on the slopes today from water in a cracked screen.. I'm on a 10 day road trip from out of state so I was dire for a replacement . I came in the Apple Store to get some help on settling up a new password & set-up for my iPad . I had an appointment. I was taken immediately with an apple associate. Jeff was So helpful, also another assistant. Both were patient & helpful. I was slowly able to learn enough about my Apple IPad to take it home & go on line to sign up for virtual classes. I also saw someone who was looking to purchase a new iPad pencil for $100 or more. An associate made sure to troubleshoot it & not only fixed w it saved him $100+. That's Super Customer Service. I have always loved Apple products. However, my husband has never liked Apple. I finally convinced him to get an Apple computer seven years ago and we have a problems with it from day one. We have taken it to your store and you fixed it temporarily. However, it stopped working shortly after being fixed. My husband took it back into day and was told there was nothing that could be done and that we must have gotten it wet. Which we never did, I took very good care of that computer. It has never worked properly. Needless to say, we won't be getting an Apple computer this time. My husband also took my Apple watch in today. It's only two years old. I am 99% sure it just needs a new battery. However, it turns out you don't replace those at an Apple store. But you can give me a replace it for only $300 or more. I am very disappointed. A terrible incident occurred this morning. I was flying my drone indoors, showing my girlfriend how stable it was, when I got ready to fly out the door to the open skies. I misjudged some things and long story short I crashed it. The blades were all torn apart and this Apple Store was the only place in the state I could find new Mavic Pro blades. So I made the journey to Farmington. I had never been to the mall it is located in. It's nice and has a good variety of places to stop by. I don't know if there is anything I'd make the drive for in the future, but if I lived by here I would likely stop by a couple times a month. As for the Apple Store, it's similar to all of them. I don't really care for most of Apples products, but I get why others do. This is a solid location worth your time if you need something Apple. I really appreciate that they had the blades I needed, although they did overprice the blades 10% higher than other places and online. If you need something and it's out of stock everywhere else, this might just be your place. read more

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. The hoops you have to jump through to get some service at this location is ridiculous. I will never return to this location. I needed my MacBook serviced and I had to return three different times for the same problem because of misinformation I was given. And to top it off, when I finally got service, it was a nightmare to get my laptop back. I had an appointment every time I went in and I still waited 40 minutes to get seen. But the walk in time was 45 minutes so what was the point in taking the time to schedule an appointment if the walk-in time was just as long. I made an appointment to have my 13 month old non responsive HomePod mini looked at. I did the best I could to troubleshoot the problem at home before going in (I was confident it was an internal hardware problem). Upon arrival I was met by a sea of red shirts eager to point me in the right direction. Once Bruce and his partner introduced themselves they got to work trying to determine the problem with my speaker. It was plugged into a laptop (something I had already done) and then quickly told it was an internal hardware problem. I asked about repair costs and this is when it turned ugly for me. I was told it would cost $80 to repair my $100 speaker. The nonchalant attitude that came after was my biggest problem with the visit. "What would you like to do fix it or you can JUST buy a new one for $20 more AND they come in new colors!!" This wasn't an item that was physically damaged. I was reassured that the internal hardware problem with my speaker was rare but did occasionally happen but chances were it wouldn't happen again. REALLY?? Again, So what would you like to do? Remember they do come in new colors!! I wanted Bruce and his partner to understand I just wanted to hear apple stand behind their product which they repeated more than once was a RARE problem. Instead I got another sales pitch of "for $20.00 more you can JUST buy a new speaker and in new colors and the internal hardware problem probably wouldn't happen again because it's so rare". I understand AppleCare I have it on all of my big ticket items. I left with my 13 month old broken HomePod mini. I'm not sure if the out come would have been different with a different GENUIS or at a different store but I lost a lot of faith in Apple yesterday. Lesson learned for me is if it isn't covered under applecare you better be ready for the "JUST" sales pitch (it's easy to spend other peoples money). I'm just a little fish in a big pond but that seems to be the big problem. This store is super nice! The Staff were professional and super kind. I came in for an appointment and they directed me to a seat in the back and told me someone would be with me shortly, and not even 5 minutes later a staff member named Javier (Javie), (SORRY if I butchered the name)came up and helped me. He was professional and kind as well. Would definitely come back again and also recommend to my friends and family to come here if they have any problems with their Apple products. I have visited this store a few times, and even purchased a couple iPads. I have never been very impressed with their pretentious, rude customer service, but figured it was par for an Apple store. However, yesterday was the final straw for my patronage at this store. Yesterday drove 100 miles from Wyoming to handle a few things in the area. I needed to ask a simple software question concerning my iPhone that I figured would take a maximum of 5 minutes. Unfortunately I arrived at the apple store later than I thought, but walked into the store just before closing. The doors were open and a few customers were there. I approached a female employee who promptly told me they were closed. With a smile I showed her my iPhone time which showed a few minutes before their posted closing time and said I just had a quick question. Her response was 'if I can answer your question in one minute ill help'! Obviously with the attitude I got I was no longer in the mood to be in the presence of their superior, pretentious intellect. It is apparent that customer service is different for a Farmington Utah Apple employee. Typically this negative customer service comes from a stores management training and reflective of the stores overall attitude. Hopefully this changes, but I will be hard pressed to find out as I doubt I will revisit the store. read more

Wow! I was in the this store today to get some help with my MacBook Air. Service exceeded expectations. Technician quickly sussed out the problems and resolved. I had other questions about my iPhone and music and another technician bent over backwards to help me. Very happy. Will go back. Felt very well cared for and treated as a valued customer. I went to the Apple Store for a purchase. I was greeted at the door, there were plenty of sales associates available to assist. As you would expect the design of the store was modern and clean. They had plenty of everything on display. I had to team members assist me with the purchase both were very knowledgeable about the product. When I decided on the purchase, they took payment at the display and within a minute someone walked out with the product. The sales person offered to set up my device but I opted to do it on my own. I lost my AirPod pro charging case. When I called Apple care I was told it would cost $70 to replace. I get to the store and I'm first told it will cost not $70, but $90. Then I'm told no, it's actually going to cost $100 for a replacement. And this is with Apple Care. I didn't buy a new case, not when the price jumped $30. He said there was a damage inside maybe being liquid which was so shocking to me. This computer is brand new. He continued to say it will be $800 to fix it and that's about how much it is brand new. I asked if I had any other options he said no and went on to the next customer. I was going to buy two Apple watches today too. Never buying an Apple Product again because of this. I went in to pick up my preordered watch on July 4th expecting to see the store crowded. It was not too busy. I was greeted quickly and was told I would have my watch brought out in about 5 minutes. A employee brought my watch out within that time and it seemed almost as an afterthought when he asked if I would like to get it set up before I left the store. After sitting me at a table, pulling out my watch, and finding it not charged he rushed off to get a charging cord. After returning and getting my watch charging, he left never to return. I was essentially on my own to follow the on screen instructions. Granted, apple devices are pretty intuitive to get going but I would have love to have an employee looking over my shoulder during the process. Purchased new iPhone 13 pro delivered to my home, prior to delivery I visited the store and asked if I could bring in and get help transferring to new phone. I was told no problem bring it in the following day and will set up. Ask if I needed an appointment, no just bring to the store and will set it up. Well, showed up the next day and was told no way do it online. What a shock spent thousands at this store and refused help to set-up a $1800 iPhone. This is by far the worst Apple Store I've ever visited. Actually, out of the dozen states I've lived in, this is the only negative experience I've ever even had at an Apple Store. After following exceptionally poor advice from technical support, my computer crashed and I was told that I needed to drive 1.5 hours each way to visit this horrid venue. I even had to take time off from work to fit the only available upcoming appointment into my schedule. Kirk, the genius bar tech that I spoke with, was very helpful and professional. He diagnosed a hard drive issue and it appeared that he would also be making the repairs. He told me that I should expect it to be done the following afternoon. The next day, I called the store many times. As I mentioned, I live 1.5 hours away so visiting this store requires three hours of driving for me. Nobody answers the phone at the Station Park store in Farmington. I called many times, to which end the phone rings for about three minutes, with no voicemail and no chance of anyone answering. I arrived at your store and was simply told that "it's not ready." This employee was not friendly and quite rude, which is representative of the remainder of my experience. The following day, I received a voicemail from this viper pit. I called back several times before Connery answered, and this was the only time that anyone managed to answer the phone there. Connery said that my computer had signs of water damage, which voided my AppleCare and that I needed to spend $750 to send it in for repairs. This whole water damage things was a complete shock to me, especially considering that my computer functioned perfectly until the update issue. When I asked him if there were any other options, he simply repeated that I could "send it in for repairs, for $750." He held a very disrespectful tone and demonstrated no interest in helping me further. I then spent several hours online and talking to AppleCare, trying to get more information. It was all such a very convoluted process, just to get information. I came to find that Apple offers a TradeIn/Recycle program that gives you a discount towards a purchase. I spoke with techs at headquarters, who encouraged me to ask the Station Park store about options because they knew details specifically about my computer. I tried again to call the netherworld, many times more, and was never able to reach anyone there. Even the headquarter techs helping me were unable to reach anyone at this Station Park store. I ended up calling another apple store so that I could at least talk to a person and try to get some information. One of these techs eventually let me know that there is a Apple authorized repair location right here where I live in Logan, Utah. At this point I simply wanted to know if I could pick up my computer and take time to decide what to do. I eventually gave up trying to reach anyone and decided to just pick up my computer. However, when I entered the store, there were six or seven employees just standing around. The staff greeted me at had me wait at a table. A kid brought my computer to me and told me again that the bad hard drive was not replaced due to the water damage. When I asked for more information about TradeIn/Recycle program, he said that he would get his manager involved and they would definitely be able to go over all of that. I saw him approach the manager, a large dark haired man with a leg tattoo. This man stared at me for a while and then proceeded to enter the doors to the back of the store. I continued to wait a while until later approached by a young lady. She began asking me about what kind of product I was interested in buying. This young lady was unable to give me any information whatsoever about other repair options or the TradeIn/Recycle program. Her job was exclusively to sell products. I was in complete disbelief! The manager never came over to talk to me, and so I just left. Basically, the scam artists at miserable pit of Hades had me waste 9 hours of my time and 9 hours of gas for no apparent reason. When I got home, trusty Dr. google had my computer working back to normal by the end of the day. The nearby Expercom store performed what is described as "the same diagnosis as any Apple Store" only to find that my hard drive has ABSOLUTELY NO ISSUE AT ALL. Please avoid this store unless you enjoy shock, confusion, and disappointment. Additional reasons to avoid the unrefined, criminal staff include sparing your time, energy, and several tanks of gas. read more

Just got kicked out of the Apple Store for trying to keep my baby calm. I understand the mask policy but I would pull down my mask to keep my baby calm while waiting at the Genius Bar. I told the associates who asked me to pull my mask up that I would put my mask up when anyone was close to me, but I needed it down to entertain my baby. I was then told that my husband would need to take my baby out of the store while I sat inside waiting for my appointment (it's currently 24 degrees outside). Went looking for an iPhone adapter that can't be found in other stores. Spent a few minutes in the only line system at Farmington Station. A guy approached me asking me how he could help. Told him I was just needing a cable. He then asked "Do you have an appointment?" I looked back at him, "are you kidding me? I'm just trying to quickly stop and get a cable and already waited in line." He then says "Well we are only taking appointments at this time." I'm not drinking the Apple-flavored KoolAid! Maybe the service is so crummy because its new? But considering that everything is automated, you'd think the learning-curve; wouldn't be too extreme. You'd be wrong. So, I went online & made an appointment for the Genius Bar. If you are ten minute+ late they won't honor your appointment. But at this location, apparently it's OK to leave you waiting for ages, if you show up on time. Courteous, right?! I was early for my appointment. When I got to the store I stood around waiting for someone to acknowledge me. Eventually, I was checked in. And seated at a table. I waited there for 10 minutes before someone came along and moved me to another seat for ten more, uneventful minutes. The employee assigned to help me finally came over & told me that he was finishing up with someone else & would be over when he was done. Then he went in to the back room. The lady he was working with commented to me: that she'd been there forever! After a while, it was my turn. I didn't leave the store a happy camper. Not only did I feel that my wait time was ridiculously excessive. But I was less than thrilled about the fact that the manager wouldn't approve my repair. I have apple care for my device, but the type of fix I needed is apparently left to the managers discretion, and the manager at the time I was there said: No. As I was leaving, I was reminded that if I chose to come back I'd need another appointment. Insult to injury. This particular location may be a mere 5 minutes from my house. But I'll drive in to SLC & go to the apple store at City Creek the next time I need something.
