The classes are taught by Denise, who's pretty much a sewing celebrity in my eyes. :) This year's BOM choices are batik and Christmas themed. Denise is so patient in her teaching the entire roomful of quilters, ranging from beginner to advanced. She explains things well and I appreciate that she demonstrates the block assembly steps with a closeup camera on the projector screen. When I go in, most of the ladies and Logan are kind and personable. Sure, sometimes they're busy, and can't really talk, but they're helpful when they have the opportunity to engage. On a personal note, I think some of these negative reviews are unfair and kinda prejudiced.. Perhaps their own sour attitudes have been projected onto these ladies that spend their work days cutting lots of fabric and answering calls. They're not catty or mean, as portrayed in certain reviews. No offense, but it's not their fault that you don't know how to thread your inherited sewing machine. Look on YouTube or consult your manual. It's not their fault if you don't monitor your own machine's warranty. Read your paperwork. It shouldn't hurt your feelings if an employee tells you Nuttall's doesn't sell yarn.

One thing I wish they carried in addition to the paper packs is the Doodlebug stamps and dies. I have been buying ink for my 13 year old HP all in one printer for years from their Sugarhouse…read morelocation and have never had any problems with their ink. In December, I printed tons of a single picture to send out with my Christmas letter. Again, no problem. Two or three months later, I tried to print out a color document for my son, and the red or magenta color would not print at all (everything was shades of blue, green, yellow, or black). To make a long story short, I was invited to take my printer into the Midvale store and she swapped out my ink for newer ink, and ran it through the cleaning process multiple times. It didn't work. We swapped back to my ink, and then I took it to a professional printer repair place (who did deep head cleaning), and the color still was off. Both, Cartridge World and the printer repair place said that I should photocopy a small multi-colored color wheel as least once a month, so that ink doesn't dry inside the very tiny parts. I am lucky that our printer lasted 13 years, right! I don't think the ink was the problem, it was that it was left unused for so long, or maybe something in the machine glitched, so much so that the repair place couldn't fix it either. The Midvale store employee took time with me on the phone and at the store to try to get my printer colors working again, for no extra charge for ink. I will go back and buy more ink when my new printer runs out of ink. She even told me to bring in my old ink cartridges to swap to buy any new ink.

I have read some other reviews. I agree, it CAN be hard to find an employee to answer a question, but I keep on and I always succeed. In contrast when I don't find something at the Home Depot on South Highland Dr, they say, "Well, Home Depot at 2100 South has it!" Some people prefer Lowe's on 300 West, SLC. It's easier to find staff to ask a question at Lowe's. The Lowe's staff are more conversational. The other reviews here show Home Depot can be a challenge. I add that the HomeDepot.com selection of washers & dryers is great. They offer many brands, various styles, sizes and price ranges. My old washer failed, so I ordered a front-loading washer at a low price. Home Depot had some nice washers so I ordered one. The delivery today came 25 minutes early. They emailed & phoned first. The delivery team installed it, removed the old washer, & showed me the new washer worked OK. All in 45 minutes, which was good! After they left I washed a load of dirty clothes. The new washer cleaned them, with no water leak! Great service, great product! See below: new Samsung Washer in basement, installed 12/8/2023.
