The GOOGLE repair website suggested contacting local repair shop to make sure necessary parts are on hand. I called, they had the parts. Got to the shop but parts were used for another customer, no problem. They could order another. The clerk in charge couldn't determine if my Pixel was eligible for warranty and suggested I return Wednesday to have the manager make that determination. Wednesday I called and talked to the manager. She didn't sound like she had any intention of warranting the part but promised to call when the part is in stock and we could begin the warranty process. She sounded like she was there to provide customer service but had no intention of actually providing it. The repair quote from ubreakifix.com if not covered under warranty was twice the cost compared to Google. End of story....I sent the phone to GOOGLE, they repaired it, and sent it back to me. All covered under warranty. I'm still waiting for that call from the manager at ubreakifix in Bountiful. read more

Let me start off with the first visit about 8 months ago, UbreakIfix never told me a price of repair so after the phone was fixed they hit me with a price more than double the cost if I had gone to the Apple store. I guess it was someone's car payment that needed to be made. I was told that the work was under warranty for a year. Recently, I started having issues with the screen, I took it to Apple for diagnostics, Apple assured me that the screen was having issues, so i called talked to a nice guy at Ubreakifix, he said bring it in and they will look at it. I should've known not to go in when customers were leaving the store mad, When I walked in we had a 10 min wait to get someone to the front desk, some multiple hair colored, ring nose, unkept, unclean liberal Biden supporter came to the front, and sloth like with no type of urgency asked if "she" could help. After telling "her" the issue and asking if they'd take a look, "she" decided to criticize me on a small scratch on the screen claiming there isn't a warranty, even though the scratch was in the protector, then claiming the problem was in the battery, when it's been diagnosed as a screen, so trying to upsell me on stuff I won't need, pricing everything nearly double that it should cost, I was frustrated and asked to just get the phone "f'n" fixed, with "her" rude behavior and how "she" was treating customers I had enough, I grabbed my phone off the table from the charger and left. This "thing" decided to yell rude comments and provoke people me as I left, pulling faces, laughing, waving her hands as any child like liberal throwing a tantrum would. I went back in and demanded to talk to the manager, "she" claimed she was the manager, I told "her" I wanted to talk to the owner on her behavior, "she" said she was going to call PD, I asked her to call PD due to the unbelievable behavior "she" was portraying. I chose to leave, went to a different company, that took less than 10 mins to diagnose the screen connection had come undone from the board and fixed the problem. I still plan on calling the Owner and letting him know of concerns to his business and this wonderful person he has working there. Between the price gouging, the ignorance and rude behavior of the employees and arrogance of this person will put them out of business just like Bad Apple. read more

Had an iPhone screen break, insured via Verizon and asurion. They both are terrible and didn't even let me know my insurance covered bringing it in as an option on their website or via a call until 15 mins. into the phone call. BUT, once I got in contact with ibreakifix, the process improved. They called right away and fixed it when I brought it in, even though they were close to closing. TERRIBLE, UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS that breaks your phone and does nothing... I had a technician do a diagnostic to my phone that was not powering on. The technician came back saying that they had replaced the battery to solve the issue and this would be free because the technician broke my apple battery trying to do the diagnostic. My phone began working after the battery replacement however it was powering off suddenly. I called back to ask how they could resolve this issue and they said that since the technician did the repair for free it actually was not able to be warrantied by them and they actually didn't even have any notes on what repairs the technician did so they could not help me at all. After pursuing fixing my phone through Apple, the phone has now been diagnosed with a failed motherboard and is not repairable at all and the store does nothing!!!! Further, Apple said that the technician did not put back any of the screws or mounting brackets inside the phone after diagnostic which could also lead to the breaking of my phone. It is not my fault the technician broke my phone when doing the diagnostic! They should be held responsible for breaking my phone! After contacting customer service: I have just contacted them and they say that the technician returned the phone as not functioning so there is nothing they can do besides another diagnostic. The technician returned the phone and after brief charging, the phone worked!!! So the technician's notes are not true and the store even mentioned upon the first time contacting them that the technician had extremely confusing and weird notes. I bet the technician did not include that they broke my battery (as they told me) and could have broken the motherboard. As well as the technician's notes didn't mention not replacing any screws or brackets! The phone was working great after the battery replacement except for the random powering off that got worse and worse until the phone did not work at all and was diagnosed as a failed motherboard. Just because the technician admittingly broke the battery (and who knows what else) and returned the phone with a resolved battery problem and a resulting motherboard problem but notes saying the device wasn't working (because it was out of power!) does not excuse ubreakifix from breaking this phone. read more

Had a mobile appointment that was cancelled after my window for them showing up had ended, they couldn't provide any information to reschedule me and forced me to sit on hold for 45 minutes to make another appointment. Their next soonest appointment was nearly 2 weeks out. As a father of 6 kids including one with special needs, being without a phone is super inconvenient and uBreakiFix could not have cared less. I am fully aware that I am not the only person who's screen is broken and don't expect any special treatment, however common courtesy of a phone call before or even during my appointment would have been appreciated. read more

I only needed an estimate for repair for my warranty purposes for our Samsung Galaxy tablet. We couldnt get the unit to get passed the unlock screen. They were able to get in and actually fixed the issue (factory reset) and never charged me a dime. They had outstanding service with constant updates. If you want your laptop repaired make sure you never go here. In order for my laptop to be repaired the only place that worked with my HP warranty was this place. To say I'm disappointed would be an understatement. I dropped my laptop off of June 17th desperately needing my laptop to be done with repairs before August 1st as I would be moving to Saint George to go back to University. The boy at the front desk told me it would be done before then, which was a lie as I am now in Saint George and still haven't received my laptop and it's my first day at school tomorrow. Another lie they told me was that they would update me via text for any updates on my repair. I haven't received any communication from them since I dropped it off at the store except by me calling and asking what was going on since no one would tell me. Which brings me to my next point, on the phone call with them the boy on the phone was very unprofessional and very rude. Giving me very condescending comments like repeating the same questions or telling me that they already had told me something as if I had forgotten. I don't know if it's their fragile masculinity because they think that working at some random computer repair shop gives them a superiority complex over an innocent college student, but y'all are some clowns talking to a woman like that. Especially if you think I don't know anything about computers because I have been raised playing with PCs and computer parts my whole life and the attitude your team gives me is absolutely unacceptable. I know for a fact that you can order the computer parts you guys keep saying you don't have to fix my computer with on websites online for $20. Even though my services with this company are free they are not worth my extra stress and time. Needless to say I will be calling the company tomorrow and asking for my laptop back since this place is incapable of fixing a $500 HP Laptop. Embarrassing. read more

Attempt one to get phone fixed: Saturday morning called to see how long it would take to replace a battery and a docking station. Was told over the phone two hours. Drove 30 min to drop the phone off the was told would take 7 hours. Because they suddenly had a lot of phones come in for repair. The phone still worked so I decided to wait on the fix. An hour of time wasted. Attempt number two: Tuesday my wife dropped of the phone. Was told it would be a two hour repair. She got a call about an hour later saying they had damaged the mother board during the repair and the phone no longer worked. ubreakifix broke my phone. Came in for a simple repair and they damaged the mother board. We called them back Wednesday to see what the next steps were and no one had an idea of what the problem was because the girl that helped us was off that day so we were asked to call back Thursday. We called back Thursday and were told that rather than fixing the mother board they will replace the phone. Downside was that it will take 10 business days to get a new phone. They offer a loaner phone but that meant another 30 minutes drive to there store. We need the phone so we accepted the offer. Another hour driving wasted. Frustrated that it would take 10 business days I called and spoke with the store manager Jermey. He was fairly dismissive with my concerns and frustration. He did not see an issue with the 10 business days and said there was nothing he could to speed up the process. From my experience no one at ubreakifix wants to take ownership when something goes wrong. It took two days for them to let us know that they would replace our phone after they broke it. If we wanted the phone faster than 10 days we would have to pay for the expedited shipping when they were the ones that broke my phone. The communication skills of everyone that I've talked to at ubreakifix are poor at best. I do not understand how they can be listed an authorized repair shop for google products. This has been a poor experience. Edit: the "common" bootloop issue described below has nothing to do with the communication skills and lack of service ubreakifix provides. read more

I brought in my surface pro 4 to have a very swollen battery replaced and the display reattached where it had pushed out. The surface was working fine when I dropped it off. After three weeks I was given back my surface and was told they could not get it to turn on. They had installed a new battery that they were so kind as to say I could keep at no charge. That does me ZERO good seeing as they had taken a working surface and returned a broken pile of crap to me. BUT at no cost. DO NOT GO HERE to get anything you value worked on. They are the worst in both quality of work and the non existent customer service. read more

I took my iPad in to get the screen replaced and was told I'd have it back in a couple days. I was never contacted and so I called them only to be told they didn't have the screen I needed and that it would be another 4-5 days. I was headed out of town so I picked it up and took it to Bad Apple instead. They (Bad Apple) realized my home button was damaged as well as my wifi antenna. I would not recommend this place. My son was almost beside himself when the PlayStation 4 he had started making the most horrendous sounds The fan was clearly gone and the machine was overheating. We dropped it off the next morning and $85 later it was fixed in only 4 days (ordering the part and then fixing it). These guys were amazing!! Definitely recommend!! read more
