I recently stopped in the Verizon Store to make a return. When I got up to the desk, I was told I'd have to wait for management to get there and that she was due in at noon if she was on time. She came in at 12:30. She came to wait on me and said I could have had anyone in the store help me. I told her I had been waiting for more than 30 minutes and she then developed an attitude with me and said she was not going to help me because I was disrespectful to her and her family emergency. She said to me that I would have to drive out to Ellicott City store to make the return. I'm a 75 year old handicapped women. I told her that my time was just as valuable as hers and felt I should not have to repay the restocking fee. She just walked away and avoided me. I followed her and told her I was not driving out to EC and just wanted to make the return. Another employee begrudgingly made the return. If this women is any indication of Verizon management, Verizon is in big trouble. My advice is don't patronize this location at 6220 Baltimore National Pike in Catonsville. Customer service, customer service, customer service!! It mean everything at these places. Came in on Black Friday but there were workers everywhere helping. The employees were attentive and polite. They went out of there way to give as much info as possible. I even got a print out of a price comparison. Awesome service. These folks take professionalism to the next level. read more

I went to the Verizon store to get my SIM card replaced in my phone. I got there at about 4:15 and was helped by Kevin. Kevin was very professional and worked on my phone for about 3 and half hours. My phone was also not charging with a cord or on a wireless charger. I asked Kevin about it possible of it replacing phone or the charger port. He explained the process and finished working on my phone. He also uses a pic to "clean" my charger port in hope to make better contact. It didn't work. I thanked Kevin and left the store at about 10 mins to closing time. I got in my car and plugged my phone in to charger and it said the SIM tray was not in correctly. I turned my car off and went back inside to get help. I walked in and said excuse me can you help me to a different rep named Abe. He cut me off immediately and said I with a customer. I was trying to explain why I came back and he cut me off again. He stated you were with the other guy, and I said I know. He cut me off again and said I'm with my customer. Then offered to put me back in the queue after being in the store for 3 plus hours. All I need was to get the tray looked at. I refused to by putting my hand up. He cleared didn't want to help me. I waited for Kevin to come out of the back of the store. He did return but he was leaving. He spoke to another rep and told him to help me. That was fine so I waited. Abe waited on every customer in that store before me. He came over to me and asked if he could help me. I told him that I got a message on my phone saying the SIM tray was not in correctly. He said I don't know what to tell you. It can't be put in wrong. He opened and closed the tray. The message reappeared and I showed him. He said I'm not sure what you want me to do about it. He looked at my phone and said it's damaged. My phone is cracked and has been like that for over a year. I said he was not a magician. He stated loud that I'm not sure what you want, and I said do your job and fix my phone. He then stated it 7 mins to close I'm not sure what you want me to do. I was very flustered and upset by his rude condescending tone. He didn't want to help me after I spent 3 plus hours in the store. He offered no solution. His name is Abe, and he should be fired. I called customer service and the sent me to Ubreakifix store and they replaced the charger port, and I didn't get the message again. Poor customer is unacceptable. read more

There used to be a time when sales and technical support were separate, those days are long gone. Now, everyone waits. On this particular day, I needed to see tech support because of my intermittent wonky charging port. I'm cheerfully greeted at the door, I'm signed in, and I wait. I wait. I wait some more. Wait, I'm still waiting. I'm cheerfully addressed... "someone will be with you soon" .... still waiting. D'oh I give up and bounce. Why u so mad?! This was a great experience for my husband and I. Someone was there to hold the door open and get us to an associate immediately. We were lucky enough to get Christian. If you want a good experience, ask for him right away. He was really fast and really knowledgeable. The great thing is that he wasn't pushy at all. Very honest. Ran the numbers for us, then gave us as much time as we needed to make a decision. We had a million questions too. He was SUPER patient. When it was time to purchase the phone, he did whatever we wanted to work out with bundling and the gift card. He then scanned this, scanned that, and we were OUT the door. I even walked out with air pods which I LOVE! I can't say that I have ever been in and out of any cell phone store in 30 mins or less, and that is what happened when I visited this store and got Christian. I was supposed to walk in and out of the store with a new phone in a matter of minutes. My phone was connected to someone else's ESN # and they told me I had to wait 45 days in order to receive a new phone on an internal issue that was not my fault. They always give you the run around on whether if someone is going to help you or the solution to the problem. These associates in the store need to think outside of the box and come up with better solutions. If you call customer service they will give you an answer and when you walk into the store they'll give you another answer. I have been a very long time customer (same # since 1998) yes very long time customer and things have just been going down hill for a while. I have had to go into this store a few times in between my 20 month contract renewal periods mainly only to ever replace a defective device or to upgrade. Terrill was exceptional. He was tasked with getting my boyfriend and myself on the same plan and two new phones. Note that I was the primary number on my account, and we have not upgraded since the unlimited data plan was available. He was patient, friendly, and very funny. I have had unpleasant customer service experiences with other locations before. This was a pleasant surprise. This was my first time at this location, and I will continue to go here because aside from Terrill every employee was working and seemed friendly. read more

A co-worker warned me against going to this store. I should have listened. I arrived at the store a bit before 11:30. I was met at the door and told two people were ahead of me. After about 15 minutes, I was thinking of asking what was taking so long, when a salesperson approached me, knew my name (so far, so good), and asked if he could answer any questions while I was waiting to be helped (why couldn't he help me??). I asked about a specific phone model, and he said he would check to see if they stocked it. About 15 minutes later, I saw him working with another customer. So I had been there a little over half an hour, the two customers in front of me were apparently still in front of me, and the one employee who seemed to want to be helpful had forgotten about me. The most unprofessional Verizon store I've been to. The wait wasn't long, although it was only few people ahead. Arrived around 7 Pm, did not get assisted until about 7:40pm. I felt that the rep was rushing our issue at hand and trying to get a quick solve. I understand it's time to go and you're ready to be off. But in no way should you make me feel the need to accommodate that... i even commented "i know You're ready to go huh ?" Just to let you know I'm understanding; however please give me proper customer service ! We upgraded to a new device( without any specific explanation or assistance of the rep) and needed to transfer all data over to the new device from the old one.. he started a transfer and after waiting 15 minutes he came back and said just do this at Home, it's not working right now. Really? You serious? I preferred to have done this HERE with a authorized Verizon rep.. but ok sure ! So i went home and as expected it didn't transfer properly and as of now have came into another Verizon store where they properly assisted me with pleasant and courteous demeanor! It's one thing to not be able to resolve and issue but customer service goes a long way. Don't rush me don't undermine my kindness to you. I regret even purchasing a new device with Them due to their dismissive and sarcastic demeanor. Absolutely unprofessional and inattentive. Came in to obtain a quote on new phone and wireless plan. Was shown phone which i later discovered was not in stock. Plans discussed. Identified I was eligible for a discount but not told what that would be. Told to come back next day to get the quote. Was given a time and told that way I would not have to wait. So much for the individual being there the next day or having to wait. Both days told they were short staffed. When I came back also found out the one promotion did not exist anymore. What a complete waste of time. i would never recommend quote given referred to $10 discount for auto pay however that was already included in the rate posted on the sign in the store. In easence my monthly bill would have been higher than quoted. This experience made it easy to decide to not use Verizon as my wireless carrier. I also would not recommend this store or carrier. Dametris M. was outstanding to work with. Buying a phone is one of those things I dislike the process, like buying a car but he made it so enjoyable that I ended up not geting one but two phones. His knowledge of the products, services and most important math enabled me to come out on top with a huge credit and 6 months access to prime streaming channels. I actually liked the checkin process because you can sit in your car after you check in and you will receive a message when ready. The only problem with this process is if your phone is not working or out of service not sure how you will receive the message. I think I was at 3% when I received my text and I did not have a charger with me. Recommend store come up with workaround. I never realized how important it is the have a representative that understands the math calculations of different options, plans and can apply them and has the patience and respect to explain it to the customer so that they can make the best decision for them but Dametris has this unique combination of abilities. I want to make all of my future purchases phones, cars, houses with him because he believes in the educated customer and I felt like I was the winner when I left and believe me I avoid buying a new phone and car at all cost. Eric was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was no nonsense and not a pushy salesman. Just wanted to get me the phone i wanted and get me out happy and easy. Unfortunately i had 30g of files on my phone. Took almost 2 hours to transfer over through the cloud because it was just so much and that guy shot the breeze with me the whole time. Didn't dip out and leave me sitting and engaged completely with his customer. 100% customer service driven and good and funny people if you get held up for 2 hours of transfer data to your new phone. good folks and its corporate so you don't need to even worry about a salesmen mentality. read more

Dishonest sales reps who against your knowledge will do whatever it takes to earn a dollar. I had an additional line added and during this process had photos and contacts transferred from what I thought would be from one device to another. This is where things got unethical and misleading. My photos were transferred to the Verizon Cloud instead without my knowledge or consent. This also caused me to lose hundreds of photos as all of them did not transfer to the Cloud. Here I stood wondering why on earth would this guy transfer my photos to the cloud without my knowledge and consent. This is a major privacy concern for me and I think I deserve to be well informed on what this rep intended to do with my personal information. I call Verizon today for a breakdown of my bill and low and behold there is a $5.00 charge for using Verizon's cloud. Surprise! Surprise! Okay so this is why the rep felt it was okay to just upload my photos into the cloud without asking me so he could meet his sales goals at my expense. Not just my wallet but I lost valuable memories because of this shady unethical transaction. Extremely disgusted with the lack of transparency, integrity and complete dishonesty after just switching over from AT&T whom I was with for over 10 years without a single complaint. y experience with Verizon started in the middle of a move from out of state. I was told by the representative LuAnne Miller that there was a 51.99 no contract monthly deal available. I set up for installation ($118 charge) for two weeks later as i had to drive back and get the rest of my stuff from Florida. Just ahead of the install i received a phone call that the speed was not available but what was is $10 a month cheaper. So I get an email from Verizon that the bill was $94 just ahead of install after waiting 2 weeks. I assumed that the disccounts were not showing. I was busy moving while starting a new job. It turns out the special was not available and there was nothing they could do. Tried to reach out to LuAnne, she stopped emailing back along the way. Two weeks into service, i was told i still had to pay the instal charge. I cancelled anyways because Comcast at $59 a month would still save me money over the year. I was told to return the equipment to the store in Ellicott City. There were around 20 people on the waiting list. At this point i had just HAD it with Verizon and put a note on the list next to my name that i was returning the equipment. and left the equipment there.
