I made the mistake of walking in to this repair store off the street. We were looking for a simple…read morescreen replacement of an iPhone 6. The price quoted seemed reasonable and they offered to do it while we waited. After 30 minutes the phone was ready and the results seemed good enough for us. The next day we began to notice some serious battery drain issues with the phone, literally going from 100% to empty in a few hours. This was a surprise given there were no battery issues in prior use but my first thought was it just takes some time for the battery to adjust to the new screen. Three days later and the battery has not gotten better so we spoke with the store both in person and over the phone. The response was the battery is past useful life and they could replace it for a discounted price. I'm no electrical engineer but a battery's useful life doesn't just happen to end overnight - conveniently when someone opens it up and pokes around. This store is definitely some kind of sketchy telling me it is just an old battery. I reiterate that there were no issues with battery life until literally the day after they did their "quality" repair. Didn't offer a refund or any sort of help so I won't be going back or giving any praise. Maybe I'm wrong but I haven't seen a convincing argument proving their theory and most of what I read online says when a 3rd party does a repair and battery issues are seen the likely cause is a short or faulty wiring. Hopefully our loss can provide some help for others.

I rate this Court Street Branch of u BreakiFix "VBAS" for VERY BAD ATTITUDE and Service…read more So I dropped my phone and my screen cracked into such a rainbow of colors it made the Pride Flag look like an old black & white TV. I've been going to this uBiFix here since at least 2019 bc it's in my hood and they were always solid - but I guess new crew new attitude - ah how we long for the good old days. Anyways I've had shorter waits in Doctor Offices. The waiting area looked like a subway platform at rush hour - and by that I mean - a few lucky peeps had seats and the rest of us stood around waiting....and waiting... Anyways my tech Andrew informed me a new Apple Screen would be $250 or $300 I cant remember which now, but that an after market would be $200. So being that the phone is a couple of years old I went with the after market. They took it in, fixed it and I was out. Next day - even though it sat on my desk or in my pocket - another rainbow appeared. So I went back I showed it to Andrew and said, "Its covered under the warranty right? Its only one day" He said, "Well if it's not your fault" I showed him the spotless screen. I was like "Dude forget about no cracks or no scratches -there's not even a speck of dust on the screen." "Well lets see." He goes in and comes out after too long a time to tell me, "Yeah we're gonna do you a favor and fix it." "Do me a favor?" I'm thinking - because Techs are like car mechanics or Doctors - you can't express how you really feel if you're still gonna put your whatever in their hands. Lets get real - Business don't survive by doing favors. It was 2 days into warranty - and whether it was a defective screen or incompetence - that's why you're gonna do it. Anyways I was never given a reason why it failed. So I get it back fixed and a few days later, its in my shirt pocket, I'm standing leaning over my desk and my phone - that's in a sturdy case - falls about 2 feet onto my desk and like that old Rolling Stones song "SHE COMES IN COLORS EVERYWHERE - SHE'S LIKE A RAINBOW!" Needless to say I got my answer the hard way - if their aftermarket screen cracks from 2 foot fall to a desk - it's prolly not even defective but just cheap crap. I mean 2 screens fail that easy - time to source a new provider boys! I had no time to go back to their circus as I had to fly - besides slap me once shame on you, but slap me twice... Anyways when I got to Louisville Kentucky there was a shop on Bardstown Rd & Eastern Parkway - polite, friendly no attitude. Their aftermarket cost only $149.00 instead of $200 and they told me it would be ready in 30 min. I didnt even get to finish my coffee in the cafe across the street before I got a text it was done. TLDR: High Quality Service…read moreFast Turnaround (within the HOUR!!) No Games High Quality (non-OEM) Parts - you'd pay a TON more and wait a few days at the Apple Store to get this fixed. Flawless Repair, Great workmanship. The Backstory: Welp.. it finally happened.. after more than a decade of using several generations of iPhones, my current iPhone 15 Pro Max (ensconced in a usually VERY protective double-layered hard rubber case) managed to find its way to a hard tile floor quite energetically, causing the front screen to crack and spiderweb. Argh! All this after a zillion other falls, I suppose the stress finally caught up to that GorillaGlass. I searched high and low via Yelp, and Fix and Go NY seemed to always bubble up to the top of the list in terms of good feedback. So, I texted these guys, and they gave me a solid quote within 3 minutes of my initial inquiry. I asked a few more questions that they answered over the following hour, and before ya know it, I was on the subway over to their store to drop my phone off. While I was there, I also decided to have them replace the original battery with a new one, as my original just wanted to quickly drain. Lastly, for an extra ten bucks, they put on a protective glass screen over my new OLED screen. They expertly applied that protective screen with NO bubbles. Not easy for the mortal man! I was back up and running within the time window promised.. I had errands to run, so I came back about 2 hours later and my phone was all set for pickup. Zero delay. Courteous attentive honest service. Epilogue: I am pretty picky, but I did not notice any degradation in display quality whatsoever. Great workmanship on the repair. The new battery holds its charge way longer than my 2yo original battery. The only thing to be aware of is that the iPhone's hardware configuration status under Settings -Battery will gently report that you have non OEM parts in your iPhone. Not a big deal to me, except maybe at trade-in time, but what can ya do.. I need my phone! lol. All said, my iPhone now works better (longer lasting battery and scratch free display) than it did a week ago even before its nasty fall. PRO TIP: Be aware they do tack on an extra 3% surcharge to your quote if you are using a credit card, but I get that. No problem. PRO TIP 2: If you have an iPhone 17 Pro, they warn that you should get AppleCare if you still can, as the iPhone 17 screens are PRICEY and shatter easily compared to my "old" iPhone15 Pro Max.
