Waring Pro told me to kick rocks, and the next option was $60. So after a lot of research, I heard tell of a place akin to a radio shack, but more Costco than Shack - and a whole lotta radio. Electronics Supply - been around for over 60 years - is just a wonderful place for the tinkerer with electronics repair needs. There's an upstairs and a downstairs, a gaggle of extremely helpful staff, and they even have the curmudgeons of yore - those gentlemen of too much knowledge, and not enough cares - answer any question gladly, but stays in their chair, and hardly look at you while doing it. This place is a rarefied necessity of any advanced municipality with the capacity for ordering online. Honestly, these guys seemingly have anything an everything you can imagine - and they're very helpful to boot, which in this time of online garbage is welcomed necromancy! I bought a thermal fuse; I didn't know what I needed, but they did. They discussed the part in question, haggled over the possibilities, pulled it from the expansive selection in back, and after an entire dollar seventy five, I was out the door! I installed it, and viola! Waffles! I'm just over-the-moon excited about the possibilities! They have myriad tools and components, security systems and computer parts, and if you venture downstairs, you've ventured into the realm of commercial electrical supplies. Among a million other items, there is a full-blown server setup for sale, conduit for days, and any bracket, housing, cable, wire, transistor or capacitor you can manifest from your imagination. It's an electronics supply, but it's more than that. Like the armory or granaries of yore, this is a downright necessity of civilization in the heart of downtown Kansas City. I'll definitely be back for things and stuff. You should too! It's a shame more people aren't able to fix their own stuff anymore, and that number is shrinking. Thanks to the Electronics supplies of the world - a right contrivance of practicality in such the weary world of toss it and buy another.

These two cashiers at 11:20 Weds morning made everyone self checkout while they visited and trashed store management. He then tried to charge me in which I said hell no, he says the part will be in Monday, I call Monday the part is there but he is not, I call the secretary and she says it will be ready by tomorrow. I call up on Tuesday and they ordered the wrong part. Do not trust these people they are only trying to get you to sign your phone over for the 30 day fixing period. They will give you a bunch of bull shit excuses so that you don't pick up your phone then after those 30 days they sell it. Must be the only way they stay in business. Fuck them

Finally I get my pc and it's making a weird noise for a month I try to contact them nothing and then finally I find out that the fan of the water cooler is damaged most likely on installation and the fan blades are tearing off flying through the inside of my case! I had to pay for another part another tech to install it because when I reached out to them to try to replace the part for me they were unreachable I left voice mail I went to the website and left emails I even drove to the house/business and knocked on he door . Someone was there but got quiet and refused to open the door . These guys don't know what they are doing and they overcharge for the work they do.

STAY AWAY!! THE OWNER OF THIS COMPANY PHYSICALLY ASSAULTED MY SISTER!!…read more Sounds hard to believe, huh? It's true. Long story short: My sis turned in one item for repair and one item for a "free quote" only. The owner took it upon himself to repair both w/o her permission. When she went to pick up the items, my sis told him that he shouldn't have proceeded w/o her permission, because she didn't want to pay for both immediately. However, she said she'd pay for the first item right then and return in a couple of weeks for the second item. He refused to relinquish either item and took them back behind the counter to 'return them to the condition in which they arrived.' My sis went behind the counter to take back the first item for which she was trying to pay. The owner then lunged at her, shoved her across the floor, and tried to wrangle the item out of her hands!! Seriously folks - I'm telling you the truth here. She then ran out of the store with the item, locked herself in her car, and called the police. The officer arrived, and upon my sis' request, negotiated the release of the small electronic, on the condition that she would not press assault charges. Yep, you heard me right. High pressure hostage negotiation at AAE Electronics. It's all in the official police report. Of course, the owner still has my sis' second item and will apparently be "un-fixing" it and who knows what else. Bottom line - DO NOT EVER take anything to this "man" or his "store!"
