The video would go out periodically, but the audio was still there. The picture would return if I knocked on the front of the unit, but it was happening more often. There's a $30 diagnostic fee up front, which I understand. Said he would call me this afternoon. They called around 4:00 PM the same day to tell me it was fixed. I guess I had expected an estimate, but I also knew it was probably a minor repair. The total was $63, minus the $30 diagnostic fee. The TV works just like new! I had been afraid I might have to buy a new TV, but they fixed mine in a matter of hours. I might have been frustrated if the repair price had been higher without my authorization, but in my case, I was pleased with the outcome. A new TV would probably be at LEAST three times that price, and mine fits on our bookshelf perfectly, and the new ones are shaped differently. I've had other TV's repaired here in the past, so this is usually my first stop before I buy a new TV. He also sells used/refurbished TV's, DVD players, stereos, etc...

The first time was when I unknowingly put thermal paste underneath my CPU and ruined my motherboard. So after I purchased a new motherboard, I was still having issues with the PC. I took it back to RizTech and they were able to fix all the issues that I was having. They are amazing people, and are very tech-savvy. Not to mention it's a small business! This is all after a friend of mine recommended them to me because she has been going to them every time she has any sort of issues with her Nintendo Switch, or other devices!!! I was already reluctant to go to a Starbucks inside a store but the people I was with were…read moredetermined to go here. First, they were sold out of many regular drinks. The drinks were blocked out on the menu with sold out signs. Then, when my drink came, it was not even close to being full. It was about a full inch from the top of the cup. Even the people I was with were shocked about it. Third, they had no napkins at all and no drink sleeves at all. Lastly, the lids didn't fit the cups right so drinks ended up spilling on coat, pants, all over. If you tried to take a sip, it just spilled down the cup into your face. Very unpleasant experience

Truth be told, I wish I had more detailed information about Akron Makerspace, because the space here is truly awesome. I found out about it at Ingenuity Fest 2017, where I learned that they offer both classes and open houses for "makers" or wannabe makers. I sort of stored it in the back of my mind, and decided to try it out around my boyfriend's birthday. I signed us up for a CNC cutting class for about $50/person. If you aren't familiar with CNC cutting, it's basically a very high level computer program that allows you to engrave wood or metal in a very detailed fashion (sorry if there are any nerds out there that are screaming at the computer saying "NO, NO, it's so much more than that!). Truthfully, CNC is much more than that, but Akron Makerspace seeks to condense what would normally be a 6 week course into a few hours so you can go home with something you made. Pretty awesome huh? Lest you be deterred thinking, computer programming? That doesn't sound like me... They have a TON of other stuff here! I'd tell you to check out their website, but really, that wouldn't even tell you all the stuff they have here. The best way is to just drop in and see what it's all about. They do offer open houses weekly where folks can just drop in to check it out, or get help from the expert makers on a project they are working on. Some examples are: welding, vinyl cutting, jewelry and stamp making, robotics, wood carving... the list goes on and on. Basically, if there's something you want to make and you just aren't sure where to start, THIS is the place. They do offer memberships for $35/month which can get you open access to the space (you get a fancy key and everything) and access to all their equipment, as well as a storage space for your projects. I do think the classes are a fun way to get your foot in the door, as they have several different ones (there's a calendar on their website). I'm told that they are planning on collaborating with some local restaurants to do some date night offerings, which I think would be awesome. All in all, this place is definitely worth a visit, and creative people will love how much they have to offer!
