The District Mgr and the COO both told me conflicting stories. I'm not certain that anything was done to my phone. They "graciously" didn't charge me for not fixing my phone or did they fix it? Nobody knows because they all gave me different excuses and were caught in multiple lies. Everyone I spoke with pointed the finger at someone else. After multiple lies again last night, I got the following email: Mark, Let me start out by stating how sympathetic I am that you had to wait an extensive period to receive information and to retrieve your phone. I know that I personally would be upset if I had to go through your situation. After further investigating your case, lack of communication between our Midland location and our soldering facility was the result of the time delay. As I mentioned over the phone, this is a new unique service that we have provided to our customers to distinguish our company apart from our competitors, which most (if not all) competitors in the Midland area do not provide the service you have received. Due to the significance and the relatability of the case, I will be meeting with my top managers in the company this next week to discuss and learn from this unfortunate experience. I will be adjusting certain policies and procedures that relate to the transfer and communication of solder repairs. From this, our company will evolve to provide a higher standard of customer service for solder repairs. I am sorry if in the process of all this, we have lost you as a loyal customer. Well, I am not certain that anything was done as you stated in my first conversation with you that the phone had been repaired approximately 10 days prior but for some reason had not been mailed out. Yet, last night, I was told by you and one of your subordinates that the phone was not repairable. In fact, you told me that multiple times. Certainly you should see why I question what if anything was done and what the actual truth is about anything that was done on this phone. You told me that it may work for a short -time or it may work for years- or something to that effect. Obviously, if nothing was done, I should not have been charged. Clear tape held the thing together and made it usable. But this was not a long term solution. While I found A2 Phone Repair with some glowing reviews on Yelp, it was the recommendation from a fellow at the AT&T Store on Washtenaw which sealed the deal. A quick phone call confirmed the screen was in stock, and produced an estimate for the price of the job and how long it would take. Drop off was a breeze. The shop was clean and professional looking. As was the fellow behind the desk. The repair took just a little longer than promised, about three hours versus two, but that was no biggie. $140 for the whole thing was worth it for my kiddo to have a phone that looked as good as new... without the hassle of setting up a new phone.

The repair went great and all, but once I got home, Maybe due to a faulty seal or improper installation (likely the case) the corners started to lift. I immediately called in to report this, but due to travel, could not get to the repair until today, 7/13/26. I called this morning to verify if I came in before 6, they would fix this issue clearly done by them, to which they said yes. Then the time comes, I spend an hour round trip getting here, just to be told no and turned away. The store manager, Andrew, is arguably one of the least professional individuals I have had to interact with. I pleaded my case, told him the situation, and that I wouldn't aimlessly waste my time driving here. I then repeated that I called earlier to confirm, to which then he flailed his arms in the air like a child and ran out back to call whoever he did to confirm, then came back and lied to me saying no one ever said this. I pleaded once more but he still said I was not his priority and should have better time management to get down here (I work til 4:30). Last time I was here, I watched Andrew get in a confrontation with another customer who complained about the service here (shocker) and raised his voice at Andrew, who started shaking with fear, and had to go outside for well over 30 minutes to cool off, slowing down repairs and customer service further. Over all, negative review if possible, do not waste your time or money here for subpar service, and people who do not stand behind their service.
