We hosted our wedding reception at Verdigris Bar and truly could not have asked for a better experience. From the very beginning, their team went above and beyond. We were able to do a walkthrough and trial run ahead of time, and they thoughtfully helped us design a layout that made perfect sense for our intimate 40-person reception. Their guidance made the entire space feel intentional, comfortable, and beautifully put together. The space itself is absolutely stunning--elevated, warm, and perfect for a smaller, more personal celebration. When we arrived after our ceremony, the room flip was seamless and everything was exactly as planned. But what truly set Verdigris apart was the service. The staff was phenomenal--attentive, professional, and genuinely invested in making our night special. Every detail was handled with care, and we were able to be fully present and enjoy the evening with our guests. We reserved the space for three hours, and it was 100% worth it. If you're considering hosting a private event--especially a wedding reception or intimate gathering--this is the place to do it. We would choose Verdigris again in a heartbeat. Highly, highly recommend.

Verdigris, with a menu as brilliant and unique as the atmosphere. Perfect for a night out on the (Leawood) town with friends, a date, family, or even coworkers. I've been for almost every scenario and no matter what you're at Verdigris for, you're going to be taken care of. The staff is top notch, serving cocktails to surprise and delight. Parking is easy here with both free street parking and a garage nearby. Plenty of dinner options near for before or after drinks here, too!

Stumbled upon this beautiful bar after a friend's birthday dinner. We were walking around Park Place after dinner and wanted to take the party to another location. It was a Sunday evening, and the bar had just two couples inside. We sat ourselves in one of the cozy corners with comfortable couches, seats, and circular tables. Their physical menu only had drinks, but there was a QR code that showed a more comprehensive menu, such as other alcoholic drinks, non-alcoholic drinks and small plates. We all ordered different drinks, and I got the Matronae's Blessing. My drink was tequila and vodka based with white tea shrub, lychee, soda, and lychee pâte de fruit, which is a traditional French jelly candy. Among all the drinks I tried, mine was the favorite of the night. The lychee really shined through, the soda was refreshing, and the pâte de fruit was the best surprise - chewy, sweet, and bursting with lychee flavor. Sadly, I don't have a photo of the drink, but I will be back to order this again! Aside from the great drinks, the bar itself is beautiful. The three arches behind the main bar holding the liquor are brightly lit around the edges to have a glowing effect, the bar table has light underneath that accentuate the dark green/blue color, and the rest of the bar is dimly lit to let the details really shine. You bet we did a mini photoshoot once all the other patrons left. The servers were not only great at making drinks, but they were kind enough to take some group photos for us! The girls and I had a wonderful evening, and it was the perfect way to end the night.

Verdigris is a classy, chic cocktail bar! It's really beautiful and quiet. Perfect spot for an intimate date night! I ordered a gin Bramble $14 which was too watered down and had way too much ice but, of the little drink that I did get it tasted very nice. I also tried the polenta fries and popcorn. Great snacks. Not a place I would return to in the future. Bit of an older crowd than I prefer and drinks were a bit watered down. Service was fine! Check it out yourself!

    Elegance in a glass

I traveled to Overland Park for a meeting and discovered this classy cocktail lounge. My colleague and I stopped in for a drink. I tried the CLOVER CLUB which has gin, dry vermouth, raspberry, lemon, egg white. Not only was it elegant it was delicious! Our server was very nice and her recommendations were on point.

Great cocktail bar, probably the best one so far south in the city. Love the decor and ambiance, the servers are great, and the drinks are top notch. Little pricey but what would you expect in that location? The smokey popcorn is great and the smashburger is solid.

Cocktails as an art form! We stopped in for drinks on a Saturday night and were excited to see the creative menu, upscale vibes, and art deco decor. It truly was like stepping into another world from the suburban family-oriented Park Place shopping center! I ordered the Social Affair, which somehow tasted like coffee despite being completely clear. I also enjoyed the Ephemerality, which had a fresh botanical flavor and came with an edible flower. All of our drinks were truly unique, with a cool presentation and interesting flavor combinations. Highly recommend visiting and sitting at the bar so you can see these talented cocktail masters at work!

I stumbled into this spot while I was staying in the area and it was my favorite find. The drinks are so unique and fun experiences. They have a great variety of drink offerings so everyone can find something they like. I tried the Malachite shot, Grand Arcana and Social Affair. Grand Archana was easily my favorite but I would order any of them again! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. It's a quaint moody space with outdoor seating available for nice weather evenings.

Oh you fancy huh! First experience with Verdigris and I was extremely impressed. This is a great spot for high end cocktails. The food my group had was very good too. I really appreciated the menu design and layout, with their different groupings of cocktails. I'm confident you'll be able to find something you like. With great flavors and attention to detail, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definitely keep this place in mind. Whether you're looking for a nice place to go with a group or somewhere for a romantic date night, Verdigris has you covered with great atmosphere both inside and outside. The service was solid and professional as well.

Verdigris is a great cocktail lounge in south Overland Park. It is a great atmosphere and perfect place for an after dinner date! The service is always high quality and they always provide great recommendations. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a high quality drink and also their snacks are great as well! (Check out the smoked popcorn)

Amazing food and service!! The bartenders are so helpful and kind. The cocktails are a little bit pricey but the taste is fabulous.

After hearing so many good things about this bar. Verdigris has been on my list of cockbars to visit . The vibe was perfect with super cute decor and great music. Tonight the music was a mix of pop & hip hop. I had a chance to order the Shrimp appetizer. It was great and full of flavor . This place gives off good vibes !

Make reservations because they had a two hour wait for walk-ins. For appetizers we shared their burnt ends. Tender and sauced perfectly. For dinner we shared a wedge salad, their mashed potatoes, asparagus (a must!), and their tomahawk steak! Instead of doing three separate steaks we did the one and it was a perfect size for all of us to share! The steak was tender and well seasoned, mashed potatoes creamy, and the asparagus was prepared in a way we hadn't had before - highly recommend! We also had their dessert lemon meringue pie and coconut cream pie! Really really good! Wine options: amazing! Bourbon options: classy! We couldn't give it five stars for two main reason: 1. We made a reservation for 7pm, arrived and check in at 6:50 and still had to wait just over 30 minutes to be seated. We learned that walk-ins had been seated ahead of us so we needed to wait for some tables to leave before we could be seated. This was a bit surprising. We understand waiting a few minutes, but 30 min is not okay. 2. The sweet server assisting us for dinner was in training and we learned from her "trainer" that she wouldn't be getting any of the tips from our dinner. Additionally, the "trainer" came over around 830 to tell us that although it was only three of us that gratuity is automatically included. Very odd that we were told these things during our meal. The server being trained should absolutely get a portion of the tips - we hope restaurant management reconsiders their policy on this especially since we hardly saw her "trainer". We normally tip over the 20% but because the trainer didn't get any of our tips, we opted to not increase the tip that was automatically charged to us. All in all really classy restaurant and food was delicious! We'll be back for sure!

The space was nice and clean, but unfortunately, the service and the "famous" main course didn't quite deliver a stellar performance. Our table was split--some wanted dinner, some wanted dessert. This apparently threw our waiter into a state of deep existential confusion. The Food: I ordered their "famous" fried chicken, customizing it to three thighs (which came with homemade pickles and a fantastic ham gravy). For $24, it wasn't bad, but it's definitely not "famous" for flavor--maybe just famous for the price tag. Honestly, I could have filled up at Popeyes for a fraction of the cost. Surprisingly, the absolute star of my meal was the side of sautéed mushrooms. It came with little pearl onions, shallots, and green peas. I topped it with some of my friend's arugula to make it fancy, and it was delicious. The Service (or lack thereof): Here's where it went downhill. The dessert order became a saga. Those who ordered sweets expected them to arrive with the mains, but we had to ask several times just to get them toward the end of the meal. By the end, our waiter seemed completely frustrated with our existence. He aggressively boxed up the remaining desserts and semi-forcefully shoved the credit card machine into our faces to shuffle us out the door. Great mushrooms, aggressive math at the end. Proceed with caution.
