I got my haircut by Sophia a couple of weeks ago. I am very happy with my haircut. She cut my hair exactly as I wanted based on the picture I showed her and even offered suggestions. She even recommended different products for me to use on my hair but wasn't too aggressive on selling them to me. I ended up buying a hair masque which I love and she gave me a shampoo sample to use along with my hair masque. Very friendly atmosphere and all products are green which is important to me. The reason for the 4 star instead of 5 is that she didn't sweep up her previous client's hair before taking me to her chair. I didn't say anything then because I'm Asian and we don't complain unless it's on Yelp. Lol. Overall, I recommend this salon. I am getting my hair colored here in March so will update the review then based on my experience. read more

I went into Verde with a botched ombre color from another salon. I was EXTREMELY happy with what Kendra was able to do with my hair. She is truly an artist. My hair is beautifully blended and a lot healthier looking. The salon is very cute and they have wonderful products. I was also very pleased with the pricing compared to my old salon. Verde definitely has a permanent client in me! read more

Absolutely in love with my haircut done by Lyndsey. She gave me exactly what I was hoping for and great advise on the side. The products smell amazing and the staff is so friendly. I will definitely be back. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Verde Salon when it comes to wedding hair and makeup. This review is long overdue, but the long story short is that Deanna, Ashley and Taylor are professionals who will not only recreate the look on you you're showing them from Pinterest, magazines, etc., but they are also incredibly nice and reasonably priced. You would be crazy to spend your hair and makeup budget anywhere else for your wedding. I'm telling you, this is one of those golden gems that you need to take advantage before too many people know about them. I would know because I had booked with a high-end Boston wedding salon and had to cancel because of how bad the trial went. I was delighted when I came across Verde Salon for a friend's wedding I was a bridesmaid in. Altogether, I have had my own hair and makeup done by them as a bridesmaid and as a bride. However, I have personally watched them do the hair and makeup of 15 friends/sisters. Here are my main takeaways: 1) If you live in Boston, don't be scared of the salon's Braintree address. They travel to you and create a salon atmosphere wherever you are getting ready. They can work in practically any space. 2) Whether you're the bride or bridesmaid, they constantly check in during the makeup application and hair styling processes to make sure if you like what you see. Because they are so attentive to detail and symmetrical with makeup, they are more than willing to go back over something you don't like. However, my two experiences with Verde (unlike other stylists from other salons) are such that you don't have to tell them to re-do anything even though I would feel more than comfortable asking them. They are extremely skilled. You would never have to tell them, "my eyeliner seems heavier on my right eye than my left eye." 3) I have had false lashes applied numerous times and they always fall off halfway through the night. I called them about two weeks before my wedding to let them know how terrified I was that this was going to happen at the wedding since I had tried EVERYTHING. They looked into my issue and decided to apply my lashes individually. As painstakingly boring as it was to sit through someone apply individual lashes to your face, it was completely worth it given the morning after the wedding I had every single lash still in place. 4) As far as I'm concerned, the personality of the person doing my hair and makeup on my wedding day would not matter at all to me since all I cared about was how I looked. However, the great thing about these girls (Ashley, Deanna and Taylor) are that they are so personable and laid back. If you want to talk, they can talk, but if it's a stressful situation, they are happy concentrating on the makeup/hair they are doing. They totally adapt to whatever the atmosphere is. In summary, I would absolutely recommend Verde to ANYONE and which I have done since my wedding. There is literally nothing I would have changed! read more

This salon is very, very small. It's decorated nicely and they do offer a coffee or tea when you come in. They seem very worried about keeping clients waiting, so they make sure you don't wait. There is also a lot of free parking! Those are all fantastic things about this salon. I, personally, felt very uncomfortable while in this salon. There is only one sink to wash your hair and two chairs for styling/cutting your hair. There isn't very much waiting room, and because of its small size you can hear everyone's conversations very easily. The stylists did not make me feel uncomfortable themselves, just the very small size of the salon. I got a cut and style, which was $40. There was a large amount of time spent washing and drying my hair, but the actual cut was done very quickly. My entire appointment took less than 30 minutes. I mentioned that I usually flat iron my hair, but I was left with curled ends. While that may have just been the 'styling' decision, it ended up looking like the humidity had curled my hair rather than it looking styled. In my opinion I am paying for the actual haircut, and I don't think that much hair was actually cut. read more

I was over getting my hair butchered by Zona and found Verde on Yelp. Signage is minimal and it shares space in a mixed use building so be prepared to miss it on first pass. The small interior is small and packed in with 5 cut chairs and 3? wash stations. Well decorated, but the small space made for some loud conversations. I had my cut and style with Sophia. She was very nice, listened to concerns and made some recommendations on product throughout. My cut ended up close to what I wanted. I still found one area a bit bulky, BUT when I pointed it out to Sophia, she did show me why she felt that it was best to leave it as is (results of Zona's butcher job...). Anyways, I thought it was refreshing that she was able to offer her professional opinion instead of taking her scissors and chopping away. Cut passed the pony tail test! So many times that I've ended up with a hodgepodge pony, but not this one. Will return to get a better gauge of her talent! read more

I chose Verde Salon for my wedding hair and makeup and I am so glad I did! Their whole philosophy and commitment to eco friendly products was what originally interested me, and the work they do and the people they employ really sold me. From the very beginning, Samantha, Sandra, and Sammi made everything so easy and stress free. On my wedding day, they showed up exactly when they said and worked diligently to make sure that I, and my bridesmaids looked and felt our very best. I can't say enough good things about them! It was a wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend Verde to anyone and everyone. read more

I absolutely love love love this place. It feels like a Back Bay Salon instead of those cookie cutter old fashioned hair salons. I came in for a blow dry and the entire experience was phenomenal. I loved the ambiance, the way the salon was decorated, and overall energy. My blow dry was fabulous...I felt like Barbie after I left! Super super happy with my experience and I recommend this place to everyone. read more

This review is long overdue. I have been working with Deanna since 2012. I love going into the salon. It is so warm and welcoming. They always offer you delicious coffee or seltzer. Deanna always makes you feel at home. I look forward to going in because its like catching up with an old friend. Aside from the cozy atmosphere and amazing coffee, they are amazing at what they do. I have never left there unhappy. I recently had Deanna and the wedding team do the hair and make up for me, my bridemaids, my mother, and mother-in-law for my wedding. Prior to the big day, they sent out a questionnaire with all the information they will need to schedule the day. I have been in a few other weddings where the morning of can be hectic and chaotic. That was not the case with Verde. The morning of my wedding was not rushed at all. It was actually kind of relaxing. The whole wedding team really took their time to make everyone look beautiful. I would whole heartedly recommend Verde to anyone for their everyday or wedding needs. read more

Went here for my first time about a month ago and will definitely be going back! Everyone at the salon treats you like a friend they've known forever and if you get your haircut by Deanna, she will spend as much time as it takes to make sure your hair is EXACTLY how you want it. I haven't had my hair colored here but since their dyes are ammonia and PPD free, I'll likely be trying it very soon! read more

Updating my review because the owners and my hairstylist reached out and have offered a refund as a sincere apology for my negative experience. With that said, I did mention that I was willing to give Verde another go and return to hopefully make this my go-to place again. I haven't gone to a hair salon this summer as things came up and I probably won't until my hair grows out a little more. I do believe in second chances (if not more) and I'll make sure to express my true thoughts in person if I'm dissatisfied/satisfied. read more

Taylor is amazing at what she does! She always does exactly what you want every time! I love the atmosphere of the salon & always look fabulous leaving! Also, the Kevin Murphy products are great and smell SO good! read more

I'm so excited that Ashley and Deanna opened their own salon! They make a fabulous team. They did the hair and makeup for my wedding, as well as several other weddings that I was either in or went as a guest, so I know that their clients always look flawless and are happy with Ashley's and Deanna's work. I don't live all that close to the salon, but Ashley is the only person I trust to color my hair, so I will make the drive! The salon's decor is gorgeous and I love that they are an eco-friendly business, too. read more

I've had my hair cut here twice and both times, it came out so light and shiny. Sam cut my hair this time and she listened to exactly what I wanted. I have a hard time being happy with hair cuts but Verde delivers again. On my way out, they gave me a sample of their Kevin Murphy angel wash shampoo which is amazing and smells like cake. I am seriously thinking of upgrading my generic brand shampoo for $70 shampoo and conditioner. read more

I followed Ashley and Deanna here for my hair needs and wedding hair/makeup. They are as good as it gets when it comes to making you feel beautiful! read more

I've been going to Verde for just over a year and I love it there. I've given Taylor free reign with my hair for the last 6 months or so and I never regret it. The girls are super talented and friendly and the atmosphere is very welcoming. The new space is beautifully decorated and very chic. I love that the salon is very eco-conscious and the girls are very involved in the community. I will never go to another salon - going to Verde is like hanging out with old friends with the bonus of getting a great haircut. read more

I love these girls. I got my hair colored and cut yesterday and my hair looks fabulous!! Great work, unique and sophisticated. The new salon is beautiful, warm and welcoming. Thanks!! read more

I have come here twice and loved it both times. Deanna cut and styled by hair and she is fantastic. The salon is adorable, I love all the decor they did such a nice job. I honestly signed up for yelp so I could give them a review because I really liked it here. Also, it is really neat that you can book your appointments online. I also wanted to add that I loved that they have a parking lot because I am an awful at parallel parking. :) read more

Just got my hair done today for the first time here. I went to taylor. She did an awesome job and did everything that I asked and more. She seemed very honest and I loved my hair cut. I also loved the fact that I didn't spend a lot of money on a great hair cut. The salon is small but very cozy and personable. I think they really know what they are doing. I will def be going back. I have found my new hair stylist and salon. I am so glad I found this place on yelp. Recommended indeed! read more

After reading the reviews, I'm glad I went here for a hair cut. I recently moved here, and after one bad experience, was looking for a new hairdresser. Tia did a great job.. she sat me down and asked me what I wanted, and genuinely listened. She confirmed what I wanted before she started and talked to me every step of the way. She even gave a nice head massage during my shampoo. She definitely gave my hair new life...and my friend even complemented me later that evening, not knowing I'd gone to the hairdresser. Thanks for a great experience. read more

Clean, bright, fairly priced, easy parking, and great cuts- especially by Lindsay. My only wish would be greater availability. It takes ages to get an appointment. read more

I have been going to Ashley for about 4 years at my mom's suggestion. She is AMAZING. She's done partial/full foils, amazing cuts (even bangs!!!), color from eggplant to red to blonde and back and it always comes out AMAZING. Let me tell you, my hair is NOT easy. I've actually been turned away from salons because of how thick/curly/long it is and Ashley takes it on like an art project. She also did my hair and makeup for an event and I literally didn't want to wash my face (or my hair). Deanna has also done my makeup as well and it came out incredible!!! The two of them together make the perfect combo for stylists. Also their salon is beautiful. From the floors to the little nic-nacs on the walls. They welcome you with coffee/tea/hot chocolate and cookies!!! I will definitely be hiring them for hair/makeup at my wedding (I'm not even engaged!!) HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! read more

I am so so SO happy with my choice to try out Verde salons for our wedding! The staff is super friendly, their appointment and payment methods are super convenient and let's face it, they are the best in the business! From my extension consult, bridal trial to the big day, the girls at Verde made "hair goals" come true. Thank you to Lauren Shidler for making me feel gorgeous on my wedding day! Myself and my entire bridal party are still talking about how obsessed we were with our hair! Another special thanks to Nefris for giving me the volume I was after with the Halo couture extensions! She color matched me perfectly and I couldn't have been happier! Thank you again!!! Xoxox read more

Ashley has been doing my hair extensions for about 3-4 years now and I always love them! As someone who doesn't just want extensions in temporarily, Ashley always makes recommendations that are best for my hair - including switching methods from bonds to tape ins from time to time, and also being gentler on my own hair with less color since we get the lightness I was from the extensions. Ashley is an expert when it comes to extensions! Her knowledge and love for hair, along with the atmosphere at Verde always make for a great experience and I always look forward to going in for my appointments. The entire Verde staff is friendly, personable and all very talented! Their earth friendly approach to hair care is unique and I always feel good about their contributions to making this world a more "green" place! I would highly recommend Ashley and the Verde staff for extensions, and for all hair care or makeup needs! They are the absolute best around! I've spent loads of money at Salons on Newbury St in the past and Verde has proven to blow them out of the park every time! read more

I cannot say enough about Verde salon! The Girls amazing job for my wedding! Nobody needed to touch up hair or makeup all night! I was nervous deciding to wear my hair down thinking it would not hold, by the end of the night every curl was still perfectly in place after TONS of dancing! I highly recommend these girls! Not just for wedding's but for all salon services! read more

I found Verde through Yelp when I was looking for a local salon for a hair blow-out and a makeup application for my engagement photos, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the results. Deanna did such an amazing job with my hair, it was smooth and shiny for my photos, and Ashley did a fabulous job on my makeup. I looked like myself, but better. They both took the time to discuss with me what I wanted, and I was so happy with the results, I would recommend this salon to anyone. read more

I first came to this salon almost a year ago because another salon that will remain nameless butchered my hair color. Deanna was the stylist/savior that helped fix my hair from orange and brassy to beautiful low and high lights. It is honestly the best it has ever looked and receive compliments about the color all the time!!! As far as the decor the salon is very inviting, the staff is very nice, and the environment is friendly. They send reminders about your appointments via your cell phone which is always handy when you have a crazy schedule and are forgetful! Recently I got married and Deanna did my hair and makeup. It turned out beautiful! I couldn't believe how natural and not overdone it looked. The pictures of my hair turned out more beautiful than I have ever expected. I highly recommend this salon for all of your beauty needs!!! Kudos ladies. read more

I'm a regular client at Verde Boutique and my stylist is Samantha. I followed Sam from another salon because she is a total professional who listens to your concerns and gets it right every time. I get compliments on my hair all the time thanks to her. The salon is small but beautiful and everyone there makes you feel special and welcome. I also use the makeup line so it's very convenient to pick up my beauty products while having my hair done. Prices are VERY reasonable. High recommendations from me! read more

I am very low maintenance with my hair in general and did not have a preferred salon or stylist prior to my engagement, but I wanted to treat my bridal party to getting their hair done for my wedding. I researched salons in the South Shore area by reviews, willingness to travel and price. Verde was the perfect match based on my criteria. I had a hair trial after work a few weeks ahead of the wedding. Everyone and everything about the salon was welcoming. I had some general ideas of what I wanted to look like and brought some photos from Pinterest along to the appointment, but the biggest thing I was concerned about was making sure I still looked like me and not super bridal. Deanna was wonderful. We quickly got to a style that I felt comfortable with, and I booked the rest of the wedding party that night. For the day of the wedding. Deanna and Tia came to our hotel and all seven bridesmaids and I had our hair styled. My bridesmaids chose their own styles -- some even chose to let the stylists decide. We had two very different up-dos; three girls kept their hair down or half up/half down, one with a headband; and two girls had short pixie cuts that were just styled slightly (yet they still ended up having their own look, which I loved). Everyone was very happy with the end results. My styling was relatively seamless, and I thought I looked fantastic. I opted to not have my veil placed by the stylists since we were taking some photos before the wedding, so Deanna taught my maid of honor what to do. Everyone's hair looked beautiful all through the night even with everyone on the dance floor for hours. One bridesmaid asked for the name of the hairspray that was used a day or so after the wedding because her hair still looked great. I am so glad I went with Verde, and I highly recommend their services for Boston/South Shore brides. read more

A friend referred me to Verde, and I couldn't be more pleased. I made an appointment with the owner, Deanna, to give my cut and color a much needed overhaul. For my first appointment she booked extra time "in case I needed it" (which I did). So nice not to feel rushed! She listened, asked tons of questions, and went through pictures with me and came up with a plan. On one piece of my hair the color didn't lift like she thought it was going to, so she had me back in a few days later to make sure I was 100% happy, even though it was only a tiny tweak. The color/products they use left my hair feeling so healthy. Highly recommend. read more

I just moved to the Braintree area from DC, and desperately needed a cut and color! I found this salon through yelp, and since it was only a few minutes from my new apartment, decided to check it out. First off, LOVE that they have online appointment making. I usually make appointments from work, so it's nice having a quick option to do that. You also get reminders before your actual date so you won't forget! The salon itself is super cute and super stylish. While small, it still is comfortable and feels like you're hanging out at a friend's house rather than a stuffy salon. Deanna was my stylist and was AWESOME! She actually took the time to describe the products that she used for my color and what she recommends to make it come out great. The haircut was also fantastic. Again, she took time to explain things and give recommendations that you don't get at a larger salon. The also let customer's bring their dogs (if well behaved) along. A customer had brought her toy yorkie who was quite frankly the cutest thing I'd ever seen. It made the time fly by! Overall, I highly recommend this salon. In fact, my mom is even going to drive from Cape Cod this week on the basis of my recommendation! I will definitely be a regular customer there. Oh! And the prices were perfect! I didn't feel like I was getting ripped off (like you do in bigger cities). read more

Don't know why it took me so long to yelp Verde but here it is! So this was my first hair appointment at Verde and also my first within a year. I was going for a bob cut, I normally chop off at least 10 inches and then donate. Deanna was my hairstylist and overall she did a good job. My good friend has been a hairstylist for years and have been cutting my hair forever but she's been busy with her family and didn't want to take away her time. When my friend saw my haircut, she thought it looked ok. She found a few pieces in the back that were uneven but she took care of it for me. Verde was just A-OK! read more

Verde Salon is all about pleasing their clients. My stylist Deanna noticed a small area of hair that did not get covered with the hair color. She said...let me correct it. I was pressed for time and I said...oh don't bother. But she really felt bad and wanted to correct it. I agreed to have the area retouched and glad I did. Looks so much better. Deanna is a perfectionist. For my extra half hour delay Deanna gave me a couple of new products to try out. Never expected the gift. Didn't have to do that but that's how kind she is. As long as she is around I'll forever be a customer. Love that place and the staff ! read more

I first met Ashley and Deanna when they did the hair and make up for my daughter's huge bridal party. They kept everything going like clockwork and did an amazing job. Each girl and both Mom's had their own look that was perfect for them. I gave Ashley a picture of what I wanted and she recreated it exactly. I received so many compliments! I was terrified of having my makeup done, as I am a minimalist when it comes to that. Deanna asked what I wanted and she made me look great, but almost as if I didn't have any make up on - me minus my flaws. Thanks to both of them, I felt beautiful. So after that, I began driving from an hour away to visit Ashley's salon. It is the only time that I have come out of a salon with the EXACT look that I wanted. And she does it EVERY time. read more

I moved back to the south shore area over a year ago. I had been struggling to find a new stylist because I'll admit, I am very picky, and I had been with the same stylist for 7 years. Well yesterday I decided to give Kendra at Verde Boutique salon a try and I have to say, I am absolutely in love with the way she did my hair! The color is better than I could have ever imagined and she listens to exactly what I wanted. I am happy to say I found my new stylist FINALLY! I would recommend this Salon to anyone. Everyone seemed really great and even the prices are not bad! read more

My best friend hired the ladies from Verde to do her wedding hair and make-up. Deanna and Ashley met us at our hotel and were extremely professional and kind during our wedding prep. Deanna was responsible for the bride's hair and make-up, and the bride looked flawless and natural! I was really pleased with Ashley's work on my make-up, and she was really understanding of my requests and concerns. I also showed her some examples of how I wanted my make-up done, and she quickly analyzed and executed the make-up look I desired. I would definitely recommend Verde to future bridal parties! read more

I've been seeing Ashley (the co-owner) for cuts and waxes for quite a while and love going back to her. She always knows exactly what I'm looking for and has great advice when the only direction I ca give her is, "I want something new". Super fun and modern, the new salon is a great little space! The place is conveniently located in Braintree and feels super cozy, like someone's home salon only better, brighter, and cleaner :) Deanna, the other co-owner, is super sweet too and both she and Ashley are knowledgeable and professional while still having fun. read more

Needed a haircut like asap. Decided to try a new place. My hairdresser was Deanna. She was great. I am pretty laid back and just needed a trim, but with thick curly hair it was a must. Deanna was very friendly and we had a lot in common so my trip was very pleasant. The rest of the staff seemed really great too. I look forward to going back and will recommend it to friends! read more

The staff at Verde were happy to work with my hair and reshape it. Deanna did a great job fixing it up--she asked for photos, did little bits at a time, and made sure I was okay with each step. The cut is great now and the length will be back in time. The ladies here are very kind and accommodating. read more
