This salon is amazing. I can't say enough about the staff and the owners. I recently had a "hair emergency " and both Deanna and Faith juggled their afternoon (which was fully booked) to squeeze me in for hair repair/extensions. AND, the end result was unbelievable. The 2 of them were able to customize my extensions in the moment. No one was stressed or frazzled. For them, it was as if this was regularly scheduled appointment. The rest of the ladies were so kind, periodically checking in on me to see if I needed anything to drink or eat. This was an amazing experience. I would give Deanna, Faith and the rest of the team 10 stars. read more

I can't rave enough about Verde! I moved to the south shore 2 years ago from Boston and found them here on Yelp and have been loyal ever since. I see Tia and she is so knowledgeable, friendly, and overall amazing! She always listens to what I'd like done and gives solid input on what a style or cut would do for my hair type and lifestyle. The salon itself is gorgeous and so well designed I want them to come revamp my house! The two owners do a ton of refurbishing of antiques and upcycling items like refurbished wood, etc. that is so fun to look at. Such a cohesive business, from the name Verde, to the products used, the design of the environment, and the friendly staff, this is not your average salon. You will not want to go anywhere else after visiting Verde! read more

I won't let anyone else touch my hair besides Mariah! She's been taking care of my blonde hair for almost a year now and I always leave feeling beautiful/confident. She's absolutely talented and knowledgeable in her field. Mariah always tells me about the products she's using and suggests personalized advice for my hair. It also helps that she's great conversation while in the chair! If you're looking for a new hairdresser Mariah is extremely talented. read more

I had my hair cut for the first time with Lyndsey. It was an amazing experience. She is very nice and listened to what I wanted. She gave me exactly what I was looking for! I walked out feeling wonderful. Verde Botique has wonderful decor and a comfortable atmosphere. Also, they offer drinks while you are there and it is super cute. I highly recommend this location. read more

This salon has feel-good vibes and is literally the perfect escape! I'm a hairdresser in a different area and was looking for a blowout near my new home in Braintree. I booked online the night before and got matched up with Shannon. After meeting Shannon, we consulted about my hair/goals, and she suggested we add a haircut that same day. I'm so particular with my own hair, but because of Shannon's super cool style (and amazinggg hair) I knew I'd be in great hands. Needless to say, I was so happy with the results. It's really nice to be a client for once, and it was then that I decided I was going to have every hair service done with Shannon from that point on. So far we've done hand painted balayage, glosses, haircuts and conditioning treatments. I've gotten numerous compliments on my hair and have booked all of my appointments through 2021. I leave each appointment already looking forward to the next. Thanks, Verde, you've created such a special space - I love it here! read more

I go to Verde Salon to see Kimberlee B. every 6-8 weeks and I'm excited to finally sit down and write this glowing and well-earned 5-star review. I've been to a lot of salons and Verde is my favorite by a mile! From the super friendly staff to the comfy atmosphere and the great tunes to the perfect location with free parking- I can't say enough good things. Prices are reasonable, especially given the highest quality hair cut/color/style that you will receive from each and every one of the talented stylists. Kim B is my ride or die stylist and you will not be disappointed by her ENDLESS amount of talent. She always takes my non-hair-savvy rambling and turns it into EXACTLY what I envisioned in my mind. I'm so thrilled that she ended up at Verde as they're eco-friendly, use all safe products, and have an excellent sense of style. The salon is decorated wonderfully and you should see the bridal suite- GORGEOUS! They're all perfectionists and want you to leave feeling beautiful and with healthy, gorgeous hair. read more

I have been going to Verde since 2015 and I am so happy I found them! Every single stylist there seems to be amazing at their craft, it's no surprise to me that most if not all of them book out months in advance! (They're worth it!) I see Deanna, one of the owners, and she is just wonderful. I get along great with her and always have fun conversations every time I go. My favorite part about them is their conscious selection of products they use and sell as well as their disposal (or lack of) of products and hair, etc. They strive to always push themselves further in their quest of being a green salon, and I can't express how much I appreciate that! read more

I never write reviews but after my experience last night, this is the second review I'm writing for Verde. I found them through Yelp and given the amazing ratings I thought I'd try them - I was extremely impressed. When I called to make an appointment, I asked for their most experienced stylist who knew how to work with turning darker hair to blonde; I was set up with one of the co-owners Deanna. Not only was the salon extremely cozy, chic, and inviting when I walked in but their staff is extremely friendly and personable. They have water, coffee, tea, and cookies all available to snack on while waiting or even in the middle of your appointment (like while sitting under the dryer). Deanna sat with me for a few moments to go over what I wanted (I brought pictures which I think is necessary when making big changes). She asked all the right questions to get the exact idea of what I was looking for and made a few suggestions of how it would look best on me. While doing my hair she talked through each step so I understood what was going on. We were turning a horrible brassy ombre (if I can even call what I had ombre before) into a cool toned blonde ombré. She had to color correct a lot of my hair so it was a process. However, she kept me entertained the entire 3 hours I was there; the conversation never felt forced or awkward. I love that they use all Eco-friendly products which is a MAJOR plus for me as that's all I use at home. She let me know about the products they had available for me to purchase but didn't pressure me to buy. I ended up getting toning conditioner that she recommended and used on me while there and I can't wait to use it tonight. All in all it was an amazing experience and now I understand why Verde gets such good reviews. The price is more than fair for the quality service that you get - I've paid similar amounts elsewhere and didn't even leave half as happy as I did when I left Verde. I'm so happy I took a chance on coming here; my hair has honestly never looked better. I've finally found a salon I can trust in. read more

Ashley just finished cutting my hair and she did an excellent job, very informative, listened but also did her own thing to help me achieve what I wanted I'm currently doing an exercise in patience and am growing my hair out from a pixie to well past my shoulder. Ashley helped give my much needed hair some shape and style without sacrificing length (and made it easy to deal with as it grows out). She also helped confirm that everything I was doing to help make myself and my hair healthy was literally everything I could possibly be doing. But the best part...as you all know when we grow our hair out we freak at the thought of needing regular trims (mostly because it seems counter intuitive to our goal, long lovely hair)--Ashley agreed regular trims are good but I'd only need to come in every 8-12 weeks (as it gets more and more out of control and needs to have a shape put back into it). I could have jumped out of my seat and gave her a hug. Every other stylist I've had when I've attempted growing my hair said come in every 4 weeks. This place is there to make the customer happy and give them what they want--they are there for the hair and not the money. LOVE IT!!! I will definitely be going back. No more running all the way from Weymouth to Newbury Street. This salon is just amazing. I can't wait till my luscious hair has grown out and I can get a beautiful ombre done. read more

Another 5-star experience at Verde. I went back to Sophia the other night for a hair-dye and a cut. I finally made the switch to their eco-friendly, Nayo hair color line. A few days later, and I am NOT disappointed. The yogurt-based dye is so much better for your hair and honestly came out more beautiful than the other products I've been using. My hair still feels soft days later, not dry and brittle like other brands leave you. It also looks softer, not so black and heavy like the other brands I was using. Sophia brought over the color book and explained the different color grades to me and what they would each mean for my hair. I am very happy with the color we picked (a deep purple) and really appreciated the time she spent explaining how each one would look. After the whole process (which was probably 45-minutes or so for applying the dye and letting it process), we washed it out and I got the best head massage you could ask for. We finished with a cut, which was flawless. I've already reviewed Sophia for her magic with curly hair and I still stand by it. Great vibes. read more

I have been going to Ashely for about 3 years now, and I can only sing her praises! She is amazing, whether I know exactly what I want or I want her to do her own thing she can always make me happy! She is an amazing colorist and does great cuts/styling as well. She knows how to make you feel comfortable in her chair with no awkward conversations like I have had in the past with hairdressers. Also, the salon is beautiful! Check out their website they have succeeded in being as eco-friendly as a salon can be from email receipts to recyclable coffee cups. Ashley did my hair/makeup for my wedding along with my bridesmaids and she did an amazing job with that as well. She arrived early to set up and got everyone done without rushing, but being super efficient and quick! The up do's looked amazing, I couldnt have asked for more. read more

I *heart**heart**heart* Deanna!!!! I have crazy curly hair that I love to wear short, which always seems to be a problem for stylists. I also am open to letting my stylist do whatever they want as I have had it 1/4' off my scalp, so if I don't like the cut, I'm down with cutting it that short and letting it grow. Again, something stylists just can't wrap their heads around. I have sat in many a chair, WITH evidence of my super short hair and still have had trouble getting the cut I want. Or they just don't want to be adventurous! So I end up with the same Halle Berry cut, which is adorable! Don't get me wrong! But I was beginning to think maybe I just couldn't do fun, funky things with my hair. Then came Deanna. I met her through my friend who works at an animal shelter. Deanna donates there, sometimes even donating free cuts/salon products for fundraising efforts. The first time I went to Deanna, I just needed a clean up as I was keeping my hair longish for my wedding, but we had a nice long discussion about my hair and how I am up for adventures with it. This was Dec 2011. I told her I was going to come back in April and let her have her way with my hair. Since my first cut Deanna and her business partner had opened up Verde Boutique Salon. So I was doubly excited. I was going to get to see Deanna AND her new salon. The salon is gorgeous! It's small, but has everything they need to do a proper cut and style, without feeling crowded/claustrophobic. They really did a great job paying attention to the details and really creating a fun and welcoming space which is also reflected in their personalities. But back to Deanna... Have I mentioned that she's great?!? My quest to get someone to just have fun with my hair has been a 10+ year quest!! So to finally sit in someone's chair and only have a 10 second conversation about it (D: "so what do you want to do?" me: "anything you want, remember?" D: "yes, but I just want to make sure." me: "have at it." D: "okay.") and then not even have to think about it...AMAZING!!! And she was equally excited about the opportunity! We were having a competition about who was more excited at the prospect. Haha. She went fun and funky and also gave me a cut that works curly and straight! I'm pretty low maintenance about my hair, so that was a bonus! I was willing to go with a cut that I would have to keep straight as it was so short it wouldn't take much time to fuss with. But I can go either way with it. I am excited to have finally found a stylist I can call my own! And with such a cute salon to boot!! Double score. (Cuts and styles start around $40, if I'm remembering correctly. Check out the website, they also do a great job listing their services and prices! I love that in a website, personally.) read more

I found this particular salon off Yelp and I am sure glad I did. I worked with Ashley for my wedding hair and my wedding makeup. I gave her an idea of what I wanted and she then used her expertise to come up with the perfect look. And "perfect" is only the tip of the iceberg. It was exactly what I wanted and flawless. My makeup looked great and she totally understood that I wanted something simple and natural and she knew exactly how to do it. The salon is so quaint and very relaxed. The space is inviting and the staff is very friendly. Based on the professionalism and the prices, I can safely say that I will be back at Verde for a regular hair cut and color! If you're looking for a professional and cost-conscious salon with awesome staff and great results, Verde is for you!! read more

I found Verde through Yelp and could not be happier. I'm a brunette that's been unhappy with my colors from the last three salons I have tried (way too dark or too red). Ashley listened to what I wanted (basically my own color without the grays) and took her time selecting the perfect color and tone. I was given the option of paying $10 extra for organic color (in a non-pushy way), but opted to stick with the "regular" color. As it turns out Verde's "regular" colors are less harsh than other salons. My scalp usually tingles (sometimes burns) during a color, but not today. In fact, the salon did not smell like chemicals like many often do. In fact, as the day has gone on I've noticed that my hair does not smell like dye. What a bonus! My asthma sometimes acts up after getting my hair colored....not today! The end result was prefect! I'm back to a flattering, rich and shiny brown. Ashley also gave me a great cut. I'm thrilled with the outcome and thought the prices were very reasonable. On an incredibly sweet note...I shared a story with Ashley and Deanna (both owners are warm, funny and down-to-earth) about a stressful event that I had been involved in. Much to my surprise, they gave me full size bottles of shampoo and conditioner to cheer me up. It was my first time at their salon. They treated me like I had been a long-time loyal customer (which I plan to become) and brightened my day. Seriously, not many people would be so generous to someone they just met. The salon is adorable! It's decorated in a cheery bohemian style and feels comfortable. Parking is a breeze. read more

Use them for your wedding!!! We reached out to Verde after a COVID reschedule and losing a previous vendor. They were incredibly responsive and were very accommodating when we had to reschedule a second time. Sammi & Samantha were amazing to work with! They arrived on time day of and did hair for me, 6 bridesmaids, and both mothers. Everyone absolutely loved their hair! Every style stayed in place all day while still looking super natural! I would 100% recommend them! read more

I had my first appointment here today! It's been awhile since I've had my hair done in a salon - I usually color it myself and trim it myself as well. But I decided to treat myself to a salon day and picked Verde since it's close by and got amazing reviews. I was not disappointed! It's easy to find and has a parking lot. It's small, but cozy and I was offered coffee, tea, hot chocolate or water while I waited. My appointment was with Samantha, and she was super friendly, as were the rest of the girls that work here. I like that it is small because you kind of just feel like you are hanging out at someone's house and it's comfortable. My hair came out awesome, I did a full foil as well as a cut and blow dry. I want to be a lot blonder than I am now, and I understand that means it will take a few appointments to do it in a way that is not damaging to my hair - I will definitely keep coming back to Verde to continue on my journey to super blonde! Good salons can be hard to find, and I absolutely recommend this place :) read more

After searching for a new hair salon for endless hours, I decided to give Verde a try because of the many great reviews I read online. I wanted to go to a specific stylist but there was only an opening with one girl, so I booked my appointment with her. I have dark brunette hair and was going for an ombré look because I was trying to grow out my hair. I brought in a photo and the stylist I was working with told me that it would take a few visits to achieve the look I was going for. I was totally fine with that and she dove in and began the first steps. The stylist told me she was applying a product to my hair to protect it from the color since she wasn't familiar with my hair and didn't want to damage it, which I thought was a great idea. In short, the product did not work. My hair was totally fried, dead, and hay-like the day after my service. Needless to say, I canceled all the other appointments I had booked. Here I am, one year later, and the ends of my hair are still damaged. I have gotten multiple trims over the year and have been applying several conditioning treatments but I still have about one inch of course hair due to the color job I got at this salon. The atmosphere is great, everyone was friendly, but I definitely recommend going to a stylist that someone has personally recommended to you if you want to go to this salon. read more

First time customer at Verde Salon and happy to say I found my new salon! After having a baby recently, I haven't had any time to get my hair done and lovely post-partum symptoms had my hair falling out in clumps! Needless to say, I needed some pampering to feel pretty again! I booked an appointment with Kendra and she recommended the Balayage style which I had never heard of before. Normally, I am the type of client to bring in a specific picture and instructions but I decided to just let her go with it! She darkened my hair closer to my natural color and added some really bright and fun red. The Balayage is handpainted color and she made it look so easy! I'm obsessed and definitely gave me that extra pep in my step that I needed. She mixed together some custom conditioner tinted with my color to be able to bring home with me and keep my color looking fresh! Normally other salons would have me come in to pay for a regloss. I can't wait to try some of their other products! I have been to 5 different stylists in the last couple years and happy to have found a salon I plan to commit to. I love that this place is eco-friendly. They use quality products and recycle everything, including leftover haircolor and hair clippings! So cool and innovative. This salon was rustic and cozy and didn't feel or smell like your typical hair salon. This place is definitely a hidden gem and I plan to share about it with all my friends :) Added bonus: This treatment didn't cost me nearly as much as some of the other salons I have tried! read more

I usually get my hair cut at home by my mother, or at a vietnamese salon in Dorchester. My mom suggested the place since she does Sophia's nail. I arrived a little early, and everybody working was very nice. They had fresh homemade lemonade, and homemade pineapple upside down cake. The pineapple upside down cake was delicious. *Kudos* The place is cozy and trendy. I came in sort of lost, I was not sure what I wanted. Sophia showed me what looked good, and helped me figure out what I wanted. I got a full foil, cut, blowdry, and toner for $140.000. She gave me a cute balayage. I hope to return for a touch up before school starts. I am going to recommend this place to all my friends. read more

I went in today for a desperate new style and met with Kendra who was Super nice! I decided to go with a trim with some layers and in true impulsive fashion i decided to go with some bangs that i had googled in the parking lot right before i came in. As most people know bangs are one of those decisions that can easily and often turn into a regret but today i threw caution in the wind, and once i saw her bangs i knew i could trust her! lol she washed my hair with lots of care and even talked me through the products she was using, and as she cut she explained as she went along what she was doing and by the end i was estastic! i look like a totally refreshed and new woman! and the bangs look so nice! it also came out reasonably priced and well worth it. I've been seeing Kendra for years now and she is the best! She is professional, talented and an all around amazing stylist! I live around tons of salons, but I would never go to any stylist besides Kendra! She is accommodating and always can make time for me to come and see her. All of her work is beautiful from the color, to the cut and the blow dry. A blow dry will last me days which is rare for my hair type! The salon itself is absolutely beautiful, it's wonderfully decorated and they have a lot of small touches that are absolutely perfect. I have been going to Ashley (co-owner of this salon) for several years and I am so, so happy that I found her! I am awful with hair so I need a confident hair stylist who can be creative with little guidance from me and Ashley is always full of fun, and funky ideas! She just opened this new salon and it's adorable! It's small, with only three stations, but it's not cramped at all and has a great relaxing vibe. Not sure about you but when I'm getting my hair done (which usually take about 2 to 2 1/2 hours) I prefer to not be bombarded with a lot of people/noise so I can chill out and enjoy the pampering. I highly recommend this place and both the owners (I have had my hair done by Deanna as well) are passionate about this business and go above and beyond to make their customers happy and look amazing! The salon is beautiful, charming, and eco-friendly and has recently expanded. I always feel welcomed and comfortable there and the staff is all extremely friendly, listening to clients requests and really working with them to meet their wants/needs. I have thick, curly hair and I have always found it hard to find a stylist who really listens to what I want to do with my hair, keeping it looking healthy and fresh. Taylor does just that. She is welcoming and friendly and always works her talents to do exactly what I want. She is extremely skilled as a stylist and knowledgable about the products she uses (which are all eco friendly and smell fantastic!) I've been coming to Verde salon for years now. The space is beautiful- every single stylist is amazing and super talented, you really can't go wrong. ALSO THEY ARE SO ECO FRIENDLY IT BLOWS MY MIND. With this being said, naturally when I decided I wanted extensions, I looked no farther than Verde and the very talented Ashley. I was nervous about the process as my hair is very thin and has never been able to grow very long. But the results are amazing. NATURAL-LONG-THICK hair that I constantly get compliments on. It's been 2.5 years with the great lengths extensions and I can ever imagine going back to my thin hair again. Thanks verde team read more

Officially found my stylist! I had my first hair appointment here the other day with Ashley. I received a partial foil and cut. I had brunette box hair dye in my hair, but hadn't dyed it in about 6 months letting my natural blonde grow in. I told Ashley I wanted to go back to being blonde, to speed the process up. (I was told at another salon 3 months ago that it could not be done, I had to wait for all the color in my hair to fade or grow out or there was a chance my hair would turn orange, I knew this was incorrect so I didn't get the color and looked elsewhere - hence how I found Verde Salon). Ashley said going blonde, would not be a problem. I was thrilled! The color turned out great. My hair has so much dimension with the blonde/dirty blonde/brunette in it and I love the brunette underneath. She also did an amazing cut job! (I had her make my layers shorter and fixed the bangs the stylist at the previous salon gave me unsolicited). The salons itself is beautiful, from the outside the building is a little unassuming, but once you walk in and down to the hall on the left, you can see a beautiful sign and sitting area indicating their entrance. Inside is nicely decorated, well lit, and I love that they keep the door open and you can see the little garden in their patio. It is a little small with only 3 hair dressing chairs and 1 shampoo bowl, but it wasn't an issue; also, Ashley told me this summer they are expanding into the place next to them. The girls there are all really friendly. They seem genuinely nice and to love their job. The receptionist gives an amazing shampoo! And the co-owner Deana I think her name is, gave out a sample of a new body butter they ordered while I was getting my hair foiled which was very nice! I will definitely be going back to this place! Overall, a very pleasant experience. I highly recommend Ashley. read more

I don't usually write reviews, but I wanted to share my experience. (As a side matter, I never met anyone at the salon before last Friday.) I scheduled an appointment to help combat hair damage and hair loss due to extreme stress. From the beginning, everyone at the salon was pleasant, professional and efficient. My stylist, Mariah, was so attentive and easy to talk to! She took time to listen to my issues, was thorough, and, in no time at all, I had a fabulous new style that has not only helped make me feel better, but has resolved many of my issues. Mariah truly went above and beyond - and I am grateful. I'll be back in a few months! read more

I've been going to Verde for a few years now to see their stylist Sophia. She truly takes her time during her consultation to make sure she understands exactly what you're looking for. She stays very current with all the latest styles and trends, which is important to me as a customer. She even told me that she is now certified in hair extensions!! Verde also sells amazing products, for both hair and make up. Sophia has made excellent recommendations in the past. I usually get 2 inches cut off for a "healthy" trim, but after using the shampoo and conditioner Sophia recommended, I now only need to trim off a half inch! My hair has never felt healthier and is now easier to manage and style everyday. Verde itself is a beautiful salon, with an inviting and friendly staff. The atmosphere is relaxing and you truly feel the salon experience, which as a customer I look forward to when I get my hair done. I would certainly recommend Verde! read more
