I really enjoy seeing happy people of all ages enjoying all the Y has to offer, whether that is pickle ball, doing a puzzle, or the next Olympic champion learning to skate. They have monthly and multi-monthly passes, I got four months for $60. They also have swimming lessons, including the one I tried, "drop-ins" on Monday and Wednesday nights, where I got one-on-one instruction on improving my technique. During her breast stroke her feet that were the size of canoes kicked me as she passed by. She did not apologize or acknowledge the kick until I waited for her at the end of my lap. Come on people, if you have a wide erratic breaststroke kick, switch to dolphin kick as you pass by your fellow swimmers. Each time she passed me I could feel the kick come within millimeters of my body. She left a bruise and made my swim a negative experience.

They have three separate pools - 25 meter lapping/diving pool, a recreation pool with some lapping lanes, a water slide for those at least 7+ and 48", and a kids play area pool with couple of slides, several water fountain structures in below knee level water. Locker rooms are relatively clean but can use some updating. There's bleachers with some shade for spectators and/or spot for your belongings (don't bring valuables). If you're interested in checking this pool out I would suggest reading their policies and regulations on their website so that you know what to expect and what to bring and what not to bring. It was reassuring to witness the staff run a drowning victim drill. They all appeared to take it very seriously, and were not goofing around in any way shape or form. Practice and preparation is key to staying disciplined and focused if a crisis presents itself. PS - location may be bit confusing - they're in the miramar college campus off black mountain rd. There's ample parking, oh and they do have limited hours - verify before going.

It's got a huge sloped entry for little ones to safely play if they aren't quite swimming just yet. There are swimming lanes and a big area for kids who are swimming to jump in, splash around, and play. The splash pad is awesome. It's got a lot of different features making it very entertaining. The pool and deck are really clean and seating is limited with not a ton of shade.
