We did almost all of our activities during our vacation with Verdeazul because we knew these guys were the best. We did the river and ocean paddleboarding tours, and two surfing tours. We had Adrian and Giovanni for the tours and just had a blast! They really treat you well and accommodate the tours to your style. It's like your just hanging out with some old friends. Your not just doing these awesome adventures - we also learned about the Puerto Rican culture, ancestry history, and they gave great restaurant recommendations. We rented a car but some other people on our tour group were picked up by Verdeazul for the adventures. Adrian even helped us get connected to a vet when we found a sato (Puerto Rican slang for a street mutt)! We have the most memorable memories from this trip thanks to the guys at Verdeazul! We strongly suggest booking something through them and would recommend it to all our friends and family. They take all the photos for you and email them to you so you don't have to worry about trying to capture the moment and enjoy it at the same time. Not to be missed! read more

Website didn't have pricing info so I reached out via email. The owner was quick to respond to my inquiries. We decided to book a kayaking tour, but I wish we would have paddle boarded but kiddos didn't want. Anyway, as I mentioned the owner was awesome when we arrived. Brian our guide on the tour was super laidback. Was trying to find things to point out during our tour and wasn't invasive at all. Allowed us space to enjoy the beautiful scenery as a family. We stopped for a bit at a swing and the kids had a blast. Some dude told confronted Brian about some permit, which brian told me later they of course had, but Brian played it cool and let the man say his piece and he went on his way. Really a memorable experience. Amazing views of cliffs on the way back. Thanks to Scott and Brian for the experience. We will see y'all next time for sure read more

The views were beautiful and majestic. Best, honest surf shop ever, with new boards in great condition. They included wax and roof mounts, which was nice extra that shops don't usually provide. My wife, sister & her husband went out for a beginner paddle board tour. Our guide was Walter and we had a blast. We had never been on paddle boards but Walter gives you a short lesson and then we were in our way! We went up about a mile on a river in Isabella with a stop at a halfway point for water. Walter took lots of pictures and you are given a thumb drive at the end with the pics. All the guys in the shop were great. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I took my nieces, ages 15 & 16, to try SUP for the first time. Our host was patient, knowledgeable and extremely positive. The river is beautiful and peaceful. Our host stopped along the way to show them a swimming area with a rope swing. I am very sure that both girls will relive this day for years to come. Paddle boarding down the river was one of the best experiences I've ever had and I'm glad to have gone with Verde Azul. I went with a large group with different experience levels but there were no worries because we were able to go at our needed pace and plus we had an amazing guide to teach those who knew less and help us back up if we fell off our board. I also appreciated the photos of us included with the tour. Even on the drive to and from the locations our guide was very kind, and informative when answering our questions about Paddleboarding or Puerto Rico in general. I'd say the tour is great for families or groups and the river tour was a nice change from the usual ocean paddleboarding. read more

We received a "dry bag" with our rental that leaked large amounts of water and ruined two iPhone X's. The phones were $1,000 each. The owner said he did not know we were going to put phones in the bag, but I had told him I was going to use the bag to take a camera. (Fortunately, I decided not to take my camera, so it was not ruined too.) We discovered our phones were wet when we paddled onto a beach. So we cut our day short and hitch-hiked back to our car, hoping to be able to salvage any data remaining on our phones. I would not have written this review, except the owner offered no discount or refund to us, and even refused to say that that he would not lend the bag out to another customer, or even warn them that it is not waterproof. As a background, I own dry bags that I use for river canoeing back home, so I know how to seal them. The bag he gave us had a cross-threaded valve that leaked water. When we returned it, the owner simply said "The guys took this bag out on the river. I don't know what condition it is in." The result ruined our day and cost us a lot of money. read more

Scott was very knowledgeable and of course... its such a small world... we kinda knew the same people. Bought a few things there and wished I had more time there to explore. Great shop with the nicest and most helpful staff you could ask for. We rented life jackets for snorkeling for the week for next to nothing. It saved the week because my fiancé would not snorkel without one. They gave great advice on where to see coral and what to watch out for. We didn't do any tours but I'm sure they are as advertised. If we head back to Puerto Rico we're heading back here. read more

My family of 4 had their first paddle boarding experience today, facilitated by Giovanni, a likable young man with patience to teach us the very basics, and turn the experience into wonderful family event. We were picked up at our resort, and carried to the site of take off and return, a very pretty place with very manageable current. He took pictures along the way, so we were able to keep our own cameras, (and everything else) safe in the van. He has promised to email photos he has taken, and allowed us to review them before the trip ended (this really matters to younger patrons, I have learned). Can't say a bad thing about the experience, and really want to continue the experience when I return home, as Paddle boarding has been available, and I never had tried it until today. I found the experience peaceful, even though there is some learning curve. It was easy to enjoy by the end of the first day. I felt the experience was a good value, as well. read more
