*Read before booking* Make sure you book your dive before 2pm the previous day. Anything booked after 2pm will not be seen by the dive shop. They close at 2pm and will not check their emails until the next day. I was told this over the phone by their staff. They said they will try to update the site to say this (who knows how long that will take). I made a reservation the day prior at 6pm for a morning dive at 8:30am. I have made many evening reservations before at other dive centers, and I have never had a problem. I received a confirmation email with instructions to show up at 8am for the dive. Unfortunately, no one showed up. I waited until 9:30am and did not see a soul. I ultimately received an apologetic phone call at 10:30am where the employee subsequently informed me of the 2pm rule. I am sure this dive center gives amazing dives. However, it is a shame that such a great dive shop has such a misleading platform that lets you reserve a dive that may not be available. I sincerely hope this review helps them add a line on their website that warns users from reserving dives after they close at 2pm. read more

Husband and I went outon Katmando with Capt. Chris and Dive Master Ben for snorkeling this morning... I accidentally booked our reservation for a week out (embarrassing) but the super nice guy at the office (can't remember his name) set me at ease as he rebooked me for today with no issues. We'd been snorkeling off the beach for 2 days but these guys took us to see a few beautiful reefs, tropical fish, sea turtle, and a few other cool surprises! Both Capt. This place rocks! Even the launch area at the marina is beautiful. This smaller more personal place asked our help to load the boat and it gave us a great stretch and warm up for the dives. The boat & dive team was Jorge, Chris, & Ben and they were just amazing, so skilled, and familiar so we felt very safe. We dove Little Desert Channel & Horseshoe and while moving to the Horseshoe site, we saw one whale tail & then a family of 6 dolphins that swam alongside of us. They also do snorkeling from the boat and the water is a beautiful aquamarine blue and clear like a swimming pool. The fish and aquatic life were plentiful and colorful. If you are in the West end of Puerto Rico in Rincon, this is a great place to go exploring under the water. Try it, you'll definitely like it! read more

This was the best snorkel tour we have ever been on. There are five of us - three kids and two adults - the whole team went out of their way to ensure we got a very full experience on the reef. The crew was very positive, upbeat and knowledgeable about the area. Although they don't go to the island anymore this trip was worth every penny because we got to travel to many sites and have plenty of time to explore each. Even my daughter who can get uneasy about snorkeling felt at ease and had a fabulous time. We plan to come back! read more

One of the worst companies I have yet to deal with. Beyond unprofessional with zero communication. Ownership needs to let go of the current manager Alexa, before she lets this company get even worse than it is. The locals even said the same thing, sadly. We arranged two months in advance, to have a Discovery Dive and a Certified Dive at the island of Desecheo. She said as long as the weather is fine it would be OK. Upon showing up, the weather was perfect (but we later found out, they won't go to the island anymore because the boat ride is so long, even though they say they will and advertise it). They just state they will to obtain more tourists to book with them (unethical business practice). This was THE LAST COMMUNICATION SHE HAD. We emailed her 6 times after this, called and left 4 voicemails, sent 7 text messages, and even sent a message on Facebook and she did not respond (unsure why, we assume she just lacks the business background or just simply does not care about the company). We even had two local hotels call (from local numbers) and she/they still did not respond. The day upon arrival (we drove 3hrs) she messaged us 30 minutes before our appointment cancelling the dives due to a lack of instructors. We booked this months in advance in this town and specifically booked a hotel in Rincon to experience scuba for our first time (we told the shop/Alexa this prior to even booking). We drove 3hrs at 4:00 AM (told her this as well) for her to cancel, which we later found out was because she wanted to host her family. Zero sympathy from her or Chandler was even shown upon arrival. After this, she offered for us to go snorkeling. However, she said we could for $95.00 per person! To snorkel! Which is double what all of the companies in town charge. She simply was just taking advantage of us given the situation. We asked for a discount, because she cancelled on us at the last minute and she said she would, but then charged our card for the entire amount (simply lied to our face which is unethical). She had zero care that she cancelled and was actually very impolite. We asked if they could book us for the next day and they said they would call that afternoon, but didn't, which is very rude. Treating customers like this, especially tourists (which she did on purpose) is mean. Long story short this is a horrible company to give your business to. We immediately booked with Rincon Scuba and Snorkeling and told them what happened and they booked us for the next day and treated us like family. Until the owner replaced Alexa, I would highly suggest going to another company. read more

We book one of the boat tour and there was an issue for that day. We talked to Tierra and she gave us a few options but no one really worked for us due to our wedding schedule. She talked to her manager and agree to travel one hour from her house all the way to Crash Boat Beach in Aguadilla just for two of us. She brought the rental equipment to us. Booked the trip specifically for Desecheo. Upon arrival front desk advised we were not going. Not because of weather since the forecast was good. But for no specific reason. The only excuse the front desk had was that they are working on getting Desecheo out of the website. were 5 divers on that trip who booked for Desecheo. Who were traveling from the other side of the island. The boat crew were great! In all the experience was a good one. First two shore dives with Jorge, and then two dives off the Katmandu with Capt Chris, Jorge, and Ben. every dive was excellent, and the team worked hard to take advantage of the calmer water and take us to seldom used sights. I had the pleasure of getting to dive with Taino again after diving with them 10 years ago. The operation is still top quality! I brought my own gear, but the rental gear that other divers were using was new and in great shape. The shop and marina is co located which is always nice, no riding to the docks in a rusted out van. All the staff are super friendly, knowledgeable, and safety is the up most importance. There is a great little bar and grill right next door to the shop, which great post dive. Went diving with Taino Divers 2 days in a row and I had SO MUCH FUN!!!!! Great bunch of people that are dedicated to your safety and enjoyment. Captain Trevor put us on some sweet spots loaded with sea life. Dive Masters Alexa and Chandler kept motherly and fatherly eyes on us constantly checking on us and monitoring our gas. And boy did I have gas!!!! Ha! Tierra was the best! From answering all.my questions when I called a week before my dive, to making sure I was comfortable and ready to dive. First class operation! Taino divers lures people with the promise of going to Desecheo. In reality, it was not even in the question, the day was diving with them. We had both divers and snorkelers in our boat, and a trip to Desecheo is not possible with both groups. Hell, our dive master said he'd never even been to Desecheo! Just know that they charge more than any other dive shop in the area. When you pay extra, you hope for good service, but that was lacking when I went with them. I'll elaborate: - our dive had 9 divers and only one DM. I've never seen this kind of ratio before (not even at the very crowded Great Barrier Reef) - the dive master was newly certified from last week, and had a hard time keeping track of 9 people. He did the best he could, but 9 people would be hard for experienced DMs as well. I'm an advanced diver, and I'd be freaking out if I had less experience - for both our dives, the DM had to surface to find the boat, on a reef they dive every day apparently. Doesn't instill much confidence - loading and unloading was a mess in a beach full of tourists. I didn't enjoy carrying tanks after a dive on a blisteringly hot day. If you're understaffed and need help carrying tanks, don't also be the shop that charges the most - their gear in was sub-par. The octopus connector from my tank to BCD had a slight leak. I had to point this out several times before I got a response, and the response was that those connectors often "champagne" some air out. I'd prefer a "non-champagning" connector please, thanks! All in all, it wasn't a good experience. I've dived all over the world, and would rate this operation as one of my few worst experiences! Please improve and please reduce rates if you want guests to load and unload your boat on their vacation! read more

Taino Divers is a great outfit to dive with! I dove for two days with them in December 2023. The team was laid-back but knowledgeable and observant. Tierra was helpful in scheduling the dives and discussing locations. Jarrod was our divemaster for both of the trips. He ensured that all divers were safe while underwater, and kindly took extra care of younger divers and novice divers. He helped point out local wildlife, as well as took steps to reduce the invasive lionfish population. Chris was the charter captain (EZ Charters) ensured that we arrived at dive sites in a timely manner. Though Tierra had cautioned that a trip to Desecheo Island was weather-dependent, we were able to dive at Desecheo one of the two days. We were able to see some active nurse sharks at that location. The rental gear was in excellent condition and not one diver had an issue on either day. The team provided chips and cookies as a snack, as well as provided waters. Scheduling was easy. Check-in as well. The divemaster, Alexa, was competent but lacked social skills, friendliness, and basic customer orientation. We dove in a group of nine with one divemaster...those ratios seemed unsafe for a group with four kids under the age of 18. Diving was expensive. Sites were average. The Desecheo trip is essentially a bait-and-switch given that almost nobody ever gets out there. Captain said they'd taken one group out there in the past month and a half. Overall, decent experience. Diving's great. There are likely other better dive shops with smaller ratios and more customer-friendly divemasters. read more

I've been on two "desecheo" boat charter dives with Taino. These two dives were 1.5 years apart. Both times there were "weather problems" (the first time only one engine on the boat was working). And both times we took the boat about 5 minutes away from the dock along the shore, off the coast of steps beach. Previously, Taino would do a small refund if the boat didn't go to desecheo. Around $25 per person iirc. My most recent dive there was no partial refund. I also visited Puerto Rico around Christmas and tried to book a dive to desecheo. This time they said the waves were too big and it wasn't possible until summer. My last dive, the Taino divers dive master said the weather is better in the winter, and that we'll have more luck then going to desecheo. This is not true, rincon is known for its surf competitions in the winter. The captain and dive master have both been very nice on both of my trips. This would be a 5 star review if it was advertised and priced as a rincon shore dive charter. The alternative trip, if we aren't able to make it to desecheo, should accurately reflect the price we paid to book a trip to desecheo. Bottom line: laid back scuba operation, professional and attentive staff with beach bum vibe, with good equipment- just the way I like it. Bonus points for hosting adaptive scuba programs for injured veterans! *disclaimer: I used my own regs, mask and computer so didn't test all their equipment I found it super ironic a previous review blamed Tanio for not able to get to a certain dive spot. You can't arrange these certainties unless you have a hotline to the Big Man Above and thinks you know more about meteorology and oceanography than the locals. So here's my counter to it- I didn't get to dive desecheo island, but I had a really awesome time. There were 4 of us on this trip- 2 Discover and 2 certified divers. We were hosted by 2 DMs (Waldo and Missile) and a captain (Panda!). Having dived all around the world I can safely say those sort of staff- guest ratios are out of this world. Very little environment damage seen at the sites we dove (Major Captain Brown, and Horseshoe). The worst of it was pesky lion fish everywhere. The spotted eagle ray who swam right up to us was a bonus. As the other certified diver and me had good air, so Waldo our DM trusted us to run 1hr+ dives on both sites while he surfaced earlier. While not the cheapest dive operator in PR,I really wanted to dive west side and Tanio suited me perfectly. read more

We had a great time diving with Taino! We booked 2 dates. The first day, the weather was too bad (windy) to go to Desecheo (fair warning, this can happen and is unpredictable!), and the other 5 people who were supposed to go on the boat with us decided they were too snobby to do a local reef dive. Taino needs 4 people to do the dive, so we were unable to go. Frank, the captain, was clearly mad at those people (as were we!) but they let us keep the snorkel gear for the day for free and Logan told us two places to snorkel. Not as great as diving, but still fun! The second day we were able to go to Desecheo! Frank and Logan were with us again and we had several other divers with us. It was super beautiful and the staff were very helpful and interested in all of our safety. They gave us pasta salad (with great hot sauce!) and snacks on the way back. It was a great day! read more

Went to get PADI certified here over spring break. We did the e-learning from home and were stoked that our first dives were going to be in Desecheo. Our instructor's name was Waldo. After gearing up at the shop, he loaded up the truck and drove a block or so down to the marina for our "confined" dive. Hardly confined being in the ocean.. The problem we immediately encountered was all of the boats idling, loading, and unloading from the marina. This meant a lot of bad fumes and also they got very close to where we were practicing. Not conducive at all to learning. As the other reviewer mentioned, the instructors seemed "inconvenienced" by their clients. This totally rang true with us. After doing a 200ish meter swim around a buoy to show the instructor our fitness level/swimming capability, we geared up and started our first drills with the snorkel and regulator. My girlfriend was having some difficulty breathing through the snorkel and explained this to the instructor. Rather than instructing her or giving feedback on what she could do differently, he says "well if you can't do this then you can't continue." That was all he had to offer. Needless to say, after about 5-10 more minutes she gave up. And they still charged us $50 for her 10 minutes worth of use of their oxygen, which didn't even dent the air in the tank. If you're planning on learning how to dive, I'd recommend finding a different dive shop, maybe in San Juan or elsewhere, because these instructors don't care much for their clients. read more

Called dive shop Friday afternoon to confirm two tank morning dive to go out to Desecheo island and was told we were all set for the next day. Drove 3 hours from Luquillo to arrive at Taino dive shop at 7:30am for morning dive only to be told that there was a tropical wave (?) out and it was too rough to go to Desecheo (even though there was not a dark cloud in sight). Was asked if we were told that there was a chance we wouldn't go out to Desecheo (um no) and he said of course not. We were then told that we would go diving off on Rincon. We rented all of our equipment from the dive shop to find that the equipment was very mediocre. Did not leave dive shop til 9am so I'm not sure why we had to be there so early. We then walked to the "marina" and were told to make an assembly line to get all of the gear onto the boat. For the amount of money that we paid for this dive, it was expected that the equipment would be set up already on the boat. The first dive site we went to was "Big Steps" and the reef was in horrible shape, the biggest fish we saw were the size of minnows, and the visibility was 20 feet at best. The second dive was at the "Little Desecheo" reef and had a little more aquatic life. We saw 1 lionfish, male angelfish, a parrot fish. The only thing that didn't make this trip horrible was that we saw two crabs fighting. read more

I just returned from a trip to Rincon, where I spent 4 days with Frank and Izzy of Taino Divers. I came in not expecting much because of my local dive shop in Washington, DC, but was blown away by the constant professionalism and hardworking nature of these 2 gentleman, Frank and Izzy. While I was there with a different instructor as part of SUDS diving, both Frank and Izzy always made my safety and enjoyment their first priority. I came to Rincon with a lot of inexperience, and left with a new attitude for diving and a large amount of respect for the hardworking professionals of Taino Divers, especially Frank and Izzy. The absolute best diving in Puerto Rico is supposed to be around the island of Mona, off the west coast. But Mona is a long boat ride away, and you have to get a permit to dive there. So the *next* best diving in Puerto Rico may well be an island off the west coast that isn't as far away - that is Desecheo Island, about a half-hour boat ride from Rincon. I decided that we absolutely needed to dive Descecheo. Diving off of Rincon pretty much means diving with Taino Divers. They are the only dive shop listed for Rincon. I suppose you could bring your own equipment and charter a boat, but it seems wiser to go with people that dive there regularly, that know the dive spots like the back of their hands. That means, again, Taino Divers. We went to the shop and signed up for a morning dive for the following day, as part of a two-boat outing. We even managed to show up the next morning on time, with some great coffee in hand (thanks Banana Dang!). We soon found out that Taino wasn't operating up to its usual standards, but not by their own fault. Seems the marina behind the shop had filled with silt, and local politics precluded it getting dredged any time soon. What that meant was (a) a staff member had to swim out and get one of the boats, which was a twin hull and could thereby slide up on the beach to pick people up, and (b) all equipment and people meant for two boats had to be loaded into the first boat using a bucket brigade line (comprised of paying clients) from the trucks to the boat, and then half us it/us transferred to the second boat out in the harbor. A slight annoyance considering the high fees Taino was charging us, but we survived it. The boat ride itself was just fine - a little bouncing up and down and around, but I don't get seasick, so was not bothered. Martin, on the other hand, spent the trip staring fixedly at the horizon.... For our first dive, Captain Tim took us down to the Crab Shack, and our second dive was with Emily at Candyland. Wow. Just wow - these sites were absolutely stunning. Completely covered with coral and plant life of all kinds, and millions of fish everywhere. I was entranced, and could have stayed down all day. Or at least until my air ran out. The trip back to Rincon was much rougher, and the rain started about 10 minutes before we arrived at the harbor. Cold, piercing rain. Of course, we had to do the load-in process in reverse, transferring boats, then off-loading equipment. C'est la vie, sometimes, ya know? Taino's equipment was just fine, with the exception of Martin's rig leaking air at the tank fitting (that's okay, because Martin never uses as much air as anyone else). The boats were serviceable. The dives sites were beautiful. And yet, I give Taino 3 stars. Why? Because the whole time I was there I felt like an inconvenience to them. We paid them just over $300 for two of us to dive (more than our charter cost in Parguera!), but they couldn't be bothered to chat with us, to discuss dives afterward, or to be very friendly at all. I was more than once told where NOT to be, and what NOT to do, so that I (we) wouldn't interfere with their system. Of course their job is repetitive, they do the same thing ever day, and of course they are probably fed up with it, but they should still care a bit about customer relations. Will we go back? I would absolutely love to dive Desecheo again, and hence I'm sure we will use Taino again. Hopefully I won't end up with the same feeling as this time. read more

Called and booked our dream Puerto Rican dive with these people to go to desecheo island. Scrambled to find an available rental car as we needed to drive 2 hrs from our location to get there. They called us after 4 pm the day before the dive saying it was a no go...lame excuse of "their boat needed filters changed". Sounds like poor maintenance or just like another reviewer said, they didn't have enough people booked on the dive so they called off the boat trip to dive off the island. Such a huge disappointment as we came here to specifically dive this location. Highly recommend to stay as far away from this company as you can. Not only was our trip cancelled but done so the day before our scheduled trip at 4pm so we were unable to make any other plans. Bummer last day of vacay and no dive. I HIGHLY recommend not diving with this company. I called to schedule a Desecheo dive after hearing so much good things about it. The night before I called to confirm the dive and they gave me a green light for the dive. I drove two hours to get to the location to come to find out that we couldn't dive because of the lack of people ( I had 3 with me), they never called us the night before to give us a heads up. The captain did not wanna help nor make an exception, the staff was rude and the customer service was terrible. I suggest diving with another company. We went to Desecheo two days in a row with Taino divers. This is a great outfit, with a high standard of gear, staff, knowledge and love of the ocean, all wrapped up in a brilliantly laid back vibe and experience. From the minute you arrive in the shop until you have finished unloading at the end of the day, Carson and his team make you feel welcome & one of the crew. For me that's a big part of the deal when I go out on a dive boat - there is nothing worse than the impersonal pile em high approach you sometimes find. We had the weather on our side to get out to the island and dove 4 different sites in the 2 days - the Taino team made sure we did not do a repeat session - and it was stunning. I had my 1st discover scuba diving package with them at desecheo island. I personally enjoyed the experience. It was amazing & I felt safe the whole time. I was lucky to see some nurse sharks, bunch of fishes, turtles, stingrays & etc. I really wanted just to give them 2.5stars for several reasons. First, the lunch was horrible, chips & cold macaroni salad. I paid 190$ and they couldn't even prepare for at least a sandwich? I was really surprised because with the other company I went with for snorkeling at icacos island, it was like a buffet! Second, we were group of 10. 3 were just doing snorkeling and the rest did scuba and I was the only first timer. With us was 1 captain/masterdiver & 1 masterdiver. The master diver who went with the people who did scuba was very nice. I wish he was the one who gave the lesson and went with me. The captain/master diver was the one who taught me necessary things to be aware of. Don't get me wrong, he explained things very well and I felt very safe but he was not friendly and accommodating at all. Every time I asked, it felt like I was bothering him. Questions like how deep are we. And the moment I told him, I don't swim, he started speaking in Spanish and I knew he was talking about me. So, I asked him what? And he refused to talk and went like, 'so, why do u wanna scuba dive?'. I felt so bad coz I have traveled so far and I thought I wont be able to scuba dive. I was so disappointed until the other master diver told me, 'don't worry. You are not going to swim. You are going to dive. And diving is sinking.' After the captain/master diver went down on the water with me for like 25-30mins, that's it, I was on my own. He didn't even offered me a floater so I could snorkel. The other company when I went icacos island, when 1 of the diver knew I don't swim, he accompanied me to snorkel around. Third, we came there around 7:40 am although the meeting time was 8. But even after 8, we still had to wait on the shore for like 20mins just because "the captain was still cleaning the boat!" We were a climbing group looking for a rest day and had 4 experienced divers, 6 Discover Scuba divers, and 7 snorkelers, all heading to Desecheo island. The week before we were due to arrive one of their boats broke but they managed to borrow another to carry us all, which unfortunately meant they had to limit the number of Discover Scuba divers (three per instructor, one instructor per boat) so clearly they were safety conscious. The snorkelers had a great time, the divers had a great time, and I and the other certified divers had an excellent time. Our guide took us to some great features, through underwater tunnels and I felt he was highly competent and made sure everyone was safe and still had an awesome time. I would definitely dive with them again. read more

I had three teenage daughters & myself scheduled to get our open water certification after completing the pool work in Dallas, TX. We stayed with friends near Rincon, PR and drove up early one morning and spent a beautiful day out around Desecheo island. Greg Carson, the owner was very friendly and laid back, but professional. "Big Frank" warmed up after awhile and we had a GREAT time! Since then, we've been back and always lucked out on good weather, great visibility, lots of fish and good instruction! Had a great time with Taino divers this past weekend. My girlfriend's first dive in open water and they made her feel very comfortable. We went out to desecheo and had an amazing dive. 100+ft of vis, tons of life(grouper, snapper, morray, even got to hear humpbacks singing). Would definitly recommend for anyone beginner to advanced. This was my second diving trip with Tiano. They were professional, friendly and very accomodating. I had my daughter, husband and 78 year old father with me. We had two beautiful dives around Desecheo. I appreciated that they were able to give dad special attention, and he was able to do a discovery dive. Jared was good natured about me poking fun at his uber healthy pasta salad. Capt. Frank runs a tight ship and even though there were big swells on the surface, I felt very comfortable with him taking us. I'm not a very experienced diver and was happy to have the extra People on board to show us around underwater. Ciara was also a delightful hostess and I enjoyed her guiding us and pointing out things I would have missed. i would recommend them to experienced and beginner divers. My 21 year old daughter loved snorkeling and the visibility was 100 feet. Another family had several non divers, and a young boy maybe kindergarten age, if that, who were introducing him to snorkeling. I don't know if I would recommend it for very young people, unless you were sure they would love it just because of the cost. It's a little steep but you are diving in a protected marine preserve. read more

I have to start by saying I am appalled at the practices of this dive shop. Not only did they put our lives at risk but when i gave them a chance to make us happy as costumers they refused! It was my partners first ocean dive and they took us to the wall, the dive master never once asked our air levels during the dive, I had to get his attention twice to ask to move to our safety stop, my partner ended up back on the boat with less than 30 units of air. The dive master even lost a diver half way through and didn't realize it until the last 5 min of the dive as we were making our way to the surface. They gave us equipment that was faulty and even after pointing out the faultiness they failed to change it out which impacted the air consumption. Be clear that we are all certified but you CAN NOT rely on the dive master for any direction or to ensure the dive is safe- DIVE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! I had to take our dive into my own hands and begin moving to the surface as it was clear the dive master did not care about the group. Beyond all the messed up safety stuff the dive masters are just in the water with you, they don't point anything out or watch out for your safety. when i confronted them about their practices they wrote to me "we have never had any loss of divers in 30 years in the bussines" glad to know they judge safety based on loss of LIFE!!!!! Puerto Rico is a great diving destination. Desecheo, the Parguera Wall, Shacks in Isabela, Culebra and Vieques are all top scuba-diving sites. Mona Island should be one of the top diving destinations in the world. We come to dive every year, and we have a history of using Taino Divers. In the past, we have found the employees to be pleasant and the staff on their boats to be helpful, informative, courteous and very conscious about safety. In fact, two years ago, we booked a trip with Taino and they canceled it because of bad weather and poor scuba-diving conditions. However, this time they showed to be incompetently dangerous. We requested Nitrox and we couldn't check the tanks till we were in the boat. To our dismay, upon our arrival to the dive sites, the Nitrox tanks had totally illegible old labels, nor did they provide with equipment to test the mix, thus breaking basic Nitrox protocol. The dive master said that he thought it was a 30% mix. The tanks looked so bad, that we now wonder if it was Nitrox at all. Currently, Taino mixes divers and snorkelers in the same boat, which was surprising since the dive sites are more than 30 feet deep and there is usually heavy currents. In our case, there was only one dive master and one boat captain to take care of 12 divers and snorkelers. The briefing to both divers and snorkelers was superficial and uninformative. Snorkelers were not required to wear life-vest, even though the sites were deep. We were very surprised at the very heavy currents in the area, since the dive masters didn't mention anything about currents. One snorkeler was swept to the open ocean, so the boat had to rescue him and left two scuba divers -without notice- in open waters. It was a horrible and frightening experience. The "lunch" was terrible -particularly considering that Taino owns a restaurant: a bag of chips and a pasta "salad" (cold unseasoned boiled pasta, black beans and canned corn). In sum, Desecheo is a great site for experienced divers, but try to avoid Taino. We have been fortunate to dive all around the world: Bali, Great Barrier, South Africa, Bahamas, Hawaii, Thailand, Philippines, and others. Puerto Rico has the potential of being developed as a very good diving destination, so it is sad that diving operators like Taino damage PRs reputation. Hopefully a responsible scuba- diving operator like Scuba Dogs, PR Technical Diving Center or Aquatica in Isabela will resume their dive trips to Desecheo and Mona Island -the Galapagos of the Caribbean- again. read more
