On July 27, 2026 , Someone in my group gave them a one star review after denying us access to her shop at 4:27 p.m. when clearly their signage says open until 6p.m. daily. When I approached to purchase something, she was hesitant to let me in and asked what it was that I wanted. I said specifically an anklet, and since I guess it wasn't enough, she said they were closed,, I guess next time I'll say a surf board and diving knife. Once the initial review was made she rushed into our table while we were still enjoying dinner at the harbor, within the same complex, as a family, and approached us with hostility inquiring whether we had written the review. We explained that we two own a business and that's not how you're supposed to run things. She sat there and got loud and argued with us embarrassingly at the bar asking us to change our yelp review. I removed my three small children because it was getting uncomfortable to go get icecream at the corner cream shop that's located next to her store. She stormed off only to say fuck you to us in front of my children. If you ask me this business is run by an unprofessional hippie. If it was a local Puerto Rican, we would have never been denied in the first place before all the drama. These people don't belong on this island. read more

We had a wonderful experience diving with Aquatica. It was our first time scuba diving so we decided on the discovery dive at Crashboat. Once I got in the water my anxiety went through the roof. Damian was an excellent guide and was able to calm me down so I could enjoy the amazing sea life. It was just me, my husband and the guide so I felt super safe. He pointed out so many sea creatures and even took pictures for us. We will never forget this experience and are so grateful for Damian's knowledge and expertise! Highly recommend!! read more

Yesterday I finish an amazing rescue dive and stress certification course with Josue . At about midnight I hear somebody screaming for help. I went outside to make sure everything was OK and a lady and about 8- 10 were panicking. I instructed her to hold onto the buoy, she got taken out by the tip current. I assessed the situation to make sure that it's safe for me to enter grabbed a board full inflated my bcd and was able to swim out to see calm her down and get her back on land safely. This was not a scuba rescue die, but with the skills that Josue taught me, I was able to quickly get my gear get in the water, calm her down and save her life. This is hands down the best dive shop I have ever encountered they take safety very seriously. Luckily with the skill aquatic has taught me over the last year. Everyone came out of the situation alive. I cant say enough about the dive shop. Thank you all again I love you all amazing people. read more

I recently went on a Beginner's Scuba Dive with Damian. He was incredibly thorough on discussing the equipment, administering the questionnaire and test following a half hour video before going, and making sure I knew the basics about staying safe underwater, with use of respirator, regulator and hand signals. He was definitely able to share some beautiful wild life with us as well, though the sea was a bit turbulent that day. My husband and I, plus our two friends, had a wonderful time diving with Aquatica Dive and Surf. They were super friendly and easy to set up an appointment with, they answered my emails and phone calls with fast response and everyone I spoke to was kind, fluent in English, and very informative. Our diving instructor was so patient with us, my husband and I were having a little trouble with the gear and the pressure in our ears, the instructor guided us well and literally held my hand through some of the underwater experience (I was a little disoriented at first and he understood and was very helpful). They took photos with a cool underwater camera and sent us the photos after the dive. We could not have been happier with our first diving experience and would definitely recommend Aquatica to anyone in the Aguadilla area. Damien and Josue were great and helped us a lot during our beginner dive. Jose and Karen were amazing as well. Highly recommend this place for scuba and snorkeling. We also rented snorkel gear for $20 a day which I feel is a very good price and the gear was in very good shape. I also really appreciated Jose taking time to show me a few of his favorite snorkel spots around the area. All in all Aquatics is a great spot. read more

This is a clean, well stocked and organized shop for scuba and snorkel needs. Very friendly lady working in the shop who made my husband and I feel comfortable and appreciated. We got two great sets of snorkel/masks that were high quality and a pair of sunglasses that came with a free cleaning kit. Very good experience. read more

At first I thought the price was a little expensive and I almost cancelled our pair lesson so that my wife could learn solo. I am so glad that I went along for the lessons. First, the manager is the sweetest lady from the states who loves helping people find their fun. She was accommodating with the times and dates of our requested lessons and also with payment and answering all of our questions about the shop, the island, etc. Our teacher, Josè, could not have any better and more perfectly suited for our training needs if he had been cast from the thunderbolts of Mt. Olympus by almighty Thor himself. He arrived on time, took his time explaining each step of our daily surfing journey, made sure we understood everything he explained and took great care that me and my wife were confident in both his and our own expectations for our lessons. It helped that the surf gods smiled upon us and gave us 2 perfect days of waves with very few people interfering and perfect waves to learn on. Josè did a phenomenal job balancing the arduous chore positioning my big 6'3" frame and my little wife in the surf all the while make sure that we were safe at all times. On several occasions he even took the time to warn other surfers nearby of the looming dangers of the bay we were surfing. I cannot heap enough praise onto Josè for his professionalism and patience as he was able to get both of us to successfully surf on our own. His love for the sport and his passion for his craft comes through in every word he speaks and we were always able to find him clapping or jumping and waving or "hanging loose" at the end of every wave. Thank you for giving us an amazing surfing experience we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Notes: if you are big, like me, wear long board shorts. If you get placed with the large board your knees will get chewed up from the rough board surface. If you have access to it, get really good face sunscreen. The kind that doesn't run and also sticks to your face in the salty surf. Stretch before hand! When the instructor talks about the importance of stretching, he ain't joking. This is an aerobic workout. You are gonna get bucked and dunked rolled and beat up, and it is gonna be awesome, but also exhausting. Be prepared for this and you will have an amazing time. read more
