This place is the best! Tucked away on Black Eagle Beach, it was an awesome find...Chikako and her staff are amazing and from start to finish their goal is to make sure we had a great experience. We first signed up for the 2 hour kayaking/snorkeling excursion. Got to the beach 15 minutes early as requested and were introduced to our guide Seth, given a bin to stow our backpacks, then given a long sleeve SPF 50 shirt and bottles of cold water. Seth took a little time explaining where we'd be headed and what to expect then we were off! The water was calm and clear and Seth guided us over to Steps beach which is a primo snorkeling site. Hanging with Seth for a couple hours was like having a friend take you along on what he loves to do best - explore the incredible underwater world. He pointed out various species of fish and took really cool videos which he later shared with us. His priority at all times was that we were safe in and on the water and that we were having fun! We were so happily impressed we came back to give paddle boarding a try...once again Seth gave us a helpful tutorial and kept an eye on us while we paddled about. Lovely two-hours on the water thanks to Rincón Paddleboard & Kayaking Kayaking the 2-hour Saturday morning guided tour was just what us northern ladies needed. Start to finish the whole experience was absolutely delightful. Before we came, the booking process was so easy to do online. Normally don't write reviews, but one of the guys made me feel really uncomfortable here.. He was staring me down from afar with an amused expression as I approached the stand, and he made me feel really bad for speaking to my friend (not him!) in English. Funny to assume I don't speak fluent Spanish, since I wasn't speaking to him. I came to this spot to unwind, not to be belittled! I'm sure many gringos have approached the stand with no sly comments like this from him. Awesome rental company right on the beach in Rincon. On our first day in town we rented a snorkel, mask, and fins ($10 per person for an hr.) and got some directions on where to snorkel. We jumped right in the water and swam over to the reef and saw a ton of small reef fish, a few tarpon, and two sea turtles! The process was quick and easy. We wanted to rent more from them the next few days but the waves were enormous so we were relegated to the pool and on-beach activities. Grabbed a shirt and tank top for a reasonable price as well. We went to Rincon Paddle Boards, its the 2nd tent on the beach and we LOVED it. I had paddle boarded before on a lake but was given no instruction so i was super happy for the patient lesson on how to stand up on the board before we actually hit the water. My friend was not super comfortable on the water and being on a paddle board was pushing outside of her comfort zone. But Chicako and Damiano the husband and wife team that run Rincon Paddle Boards were fantastic. They made sure we were both comfortable and then watched us even when we were out on the water to make sure everything was cool. From being super nervous we were pros by the end and even did some yoga poses on the paddleboard! We also decided to snorkel and check out all the schools of fishes that were right there close to the shore. Totally famished from being on the water we asked Chicako where we could get some food, She recommended the beach bar/restaurant and the mofongo was great. We also treated ourselves to a cocktail and then decided to rent a "noodle" from Ricon Paddle Boards and float in the ocean while sipping our cocktail. One of the best days spent in Puerto Rico! We just got back from our paddle and had a blast!! Three of us rented boards all with different levels of experience. Damiano and crew made us feel very comfortable upon arrival. Included with the price you get a 10 minute mini lesson before you head out if you're a beginner! I go quite frequently back home but in a river so it's definitely more challenging in the ocean. My sister who has never been before learned everything she needed to know before heading in!! They get all your gear ready for you, size you, and help you into the water. They even give you encouraging words that you probably will fall but don't let it bring you down!! We had so much fun. At one point I guess we were getting close too the rocks and Damiano walked down the shore to motion to us to head out further. Even though the water was choppy and it was windy, this is a great location to go. We are very glad we chose Rincon Paddle parts over the others. You can tell they care about their customers experience and safety. We will be back this week!! Ive done paddle boarding before, in other countries, but the staff at this location are very helpful and clear about how to actually work a paddle board. They give easy, but great instructions and tips on how to get up on the board and work it. They are also willing to let you paddle for 30 mins if youd like. They watch you the whole time for your safety, and even offer you water at the end of your session. read more

I've gone paddleboarding a couple of times, and Rincon Paddle Boards has been the most convenient and friendliest of all rental shops I've tried. 1. Location- The Marina is perfect for beginners. Shallow water, sandy bottom, and buoys to serve as a guide if you're a beginner. Their tent is right by the water which makes it super convenient when carrying the board. There's parking a few feet away. And there's a great, cheap, non-pretentious bar/restaurant right there (El Ancla)! Be sure to get some Crab empanadillas! 2. Friendliness- Chikako and Damiano are amazing. Super laid back, they are very helpful and give you hints of where to go as well as paddling techniques to help you get the best of your SUP experience. 3. Attention to Detail- This sounds obvious, but they actually pay attention to the customers. They make sure to give you the correct gear: right size board and paddle (other places give you the first thing they grab out of the rack). They hold your belongings in a safe place if you don't have where to store them. They help you carry your board in and out of the water (others leave you stranded at the end of the rental). And at the end of the session you feel so welcomed you just want to hang out with them by the shore. I can't wait to go back! Great place for either a solo trip or with a group of friends! read more

Had a wonderful experience here today, first and foremost the location is beautiful and the area is very friendly. Damian, his wife and the crew there at Rincon Paddle boards were incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and attentive. Had a group of 4 and we were all beginners some not being very good swimmers, despite experience Damian made us all of us feel secure and safe. By the end of the lesson we had gotten a good understanding of paddle boarding and a great tour of the Tres Palmas Marina reserve. I just can't say enough about how amazing of an experience I had paddle boarding and then snorkeling with Rincón Paddle Boards this morning. Considering I'd never paddle boarded before, the business's owners, Chikako and Damiano, took out the time to give me detailed instructions including demos on how to get started and maneuver the board. As I was getting the hang of it on my own, the wind and current picked up so I drifted out of the immediate area a little but within no time, Damiano made his way over to keep watch and navigate back to the designated area. Chikako checked in on my progress thereafter and reinforced what I'd learned with some great pointers. The water was clear, warm, and absolutely gorgeous..just perfect for intermittent dips and swims. As we all know, 2020 has been one heck of year for humanity in general not to mention as a COVId unit nurse and having recently lost a loved one to cancer. That said, the experience with Rincon paddle board in this slice of utter paradise was exactly the de-stress and uplift workout-mixed-with-leisurely fun activity the doctor ordered. It was chicken soup for the soul. Thanks again Chikako and Damiano. I will definitely recommend to anyone traveling in or near Rincon. I was in Rincon on a vacation. I work for a company that also rents paddle boards in the north east usa. I KNOW GOOD SERVICE . Rincon paddle boards owners are amazing. DAMIENO can teach Sup surfing with real expertise. Most of the surf companies in the area cannot do that. My lesson with him at tres Palmas and little Malibu (both near their rental site at the marina was stellar. They have great equipment for surf And flatwater. They put a premium on safety and service.
