I came on a weekday & it's the off peak season so vendor booths were vacant. There were a bunch of booths from souvenirs to food,etc. I was a little bummed out by that. I got to try a limber de coco(coconut ice). "Limber" is often used to refer to a frozen, slushy type of treat in Spanish speaking regions, particularly in the Caribbean. Vendors sell it out of a little cart & they go around the beach.It was very refreshing especially in the 80+ degree weather. I wish it was a little bit less sweet though. I should have mixed it up w/ the cherry flavor. The water in this beach was beautiful & so crystal,clear blue. Most people of PR are so friendly & always say hello. You see PR flags everywhere here painted on a chair/tree,hang up on the boardwalk,etc. I love Crash Boat & def will be back! read more

I loved this beach! It wasn't overly crowded even for a Saturday. They had great music playing. They had a bunch of different foods and drinks to buy! We got there in the afternoon and likely past the peak time. There was free parking on the street leading up to the gated entrance so we went for it. A short walk later, we were on the beach set up, in a great spot on the left of the . They had rentals of all kinds and some food and drink stands. You are allowed to drink on this beach. There were also a fair amount of fishers fishing off the end of the pier, which did not affect any jumpers since they jump off the side, not the end. There are 2 distinct parts of the beach, divided by the main pier heading out to the water. We targeted this beach to spend the day at because of its piers. It's like a built-in amusement park and the piers give you different heights and angles to jump off. Then there are piers to the left side that are shorter jumps and someone had a slackline set up between them, which was fun to experiment with. We spent all day here and enjoy doing a lot of jumping. The sand was soft and the crowd pleasant. read more

If you are on Aguadilla definitely stop but crash boat beach! I recommend coming early because parking is very difficult. We arrived around 12:30pm and struggled to find parking. We didn't have to pay entrance fee see we found street parking. There is also space for ppl to bbq and picnic Once you get down the beach though it's very beautiful! The waters here are a lot calmer than San Juan, but since the beach is small it felt a lot more crowded. If you're looking for more of a tranquil beach experience I recommend going during the week when it isn't as crowded read more

The beach is nice and the water is clear. There is an area where you can rent chairs and umbrellas and there are a few food stands. What I didn't like is them at the jet skis and boats come really close to the shore so it's feels crowded and you can't really swim. I was there with my family when a guy decides to turn on his jet ski and we water all over us from his engine. read more

We came on a holiday so the beach was packed. Parking was completely full. We were about to park outside of the parking area in the yellow area, but luckily some locals told us the parking ticket for parking there was $500 so we moved further up the road. Walking back down to the beach we noticed a bunch of cars with tickets so we were so grateful for the warning. Despite being crowded, the beach is absolutely beautiful! There were food vendors. We had just eaten, but we definitely got some pina coladas! There was a DJ on the beach so it was an amazing vibe. Again, it was a holiday so I doubt it's an every weekend thing. I am not a local, but I noticed a lot of other tourist littering so I have to add: please pick up after yourself. Beaches like these will not stay beautiful forever if people continue to discard their trash and not take care of it. read more

Probably the best overall beach in Puerto Rico. We were there on a Sunday in September and the water was calm and clear. It wasnt too crowded because Sept is the off season. This beach is gorgeous. The rocky cliffs really make it spectacular. This spot used to be a military type base and they have an old concrete pier that you can jump off of and swim under. Tons of fish live under the pier. This beach has lots of vendors for food, drinks, chair and umbrella rentals, and activities. We enjoyed some delicious pinchos (meat skewers), pastelillos (fried dough pockets stuffed with meat or pizza) and a few pina coladas. We also rented 3 chairs and 2 unmbrellas. Umbrellas are $20 and each chair is $5. Need to turn them in by 4pm. There is snorkeling and scuba diving right off the beach here. read more

Awesome! Entry to the parking and beach at free. MUST visit BUT go early so you can find parking. We got there at 10am on a Tuesday (it was a holiday) and parking was completely full. Had to park up the road. So if you don't get there early you will have to park up the road and it can be a bit steep. Note: stay away from the areas with yellow lines. You will get a parking ticket. This place was lots of fun. Kids will have a blast too. Water is so clean and clear, the beach too is clean. Everyone did a great job keeping track of their trash. So being garbage bags. If you don't have an umbrella or chairs they have rentals there, chairs are $10 each and umbrella $20. They do require your government ID (ie: drivers license) and will hold it until you return to get it. Water activities also available: water jet skis and banana boat only. Locals brought grills but there are food trucks there with great skewers, empanadas, and drinks (alcohol and no -alcoholic). Cash only and reasonable prices. (ie: one vendor had chicken or pork $4 / shrimp $5. The beverage vendor had piña colada without alcohol $6 (red cup) and lemonade large for $8 bother we're delicious). NOTE: umbrella/chair rentals and food trucks are on the far right of the beach. Bathroom - there weren't any or they were closed. The restaurant behind the food trucks can be used but they require you to buy two drinks. Not sure if it's each time but I would assume so. How this helps. read more

Lively spot for fun in the sun. The water is clear with small waves. You can stand with a drink in your hand and rock with the tide. Local vendors have premade mixed drinks for sale and there all small bites as well. Definitely try the Chicken or Pork on a stick...very tasty! My kids loved jumping off the pier. Be aware that it's difficult to climb back up onto the pier (for old people)...I had to swim to shore. read more

The beach is great, the water is clear and the waves are calm. My only gripe is that it's very touristy. If you're ok with that then this is a great pick, I prefer to find the beaches that my native family frequents. It's all preference. There are plenty of vendors here as well, you'll find cocktails, ice cream and food vendors. There's also parking, rest rooms, and a iconic area. Beware, the rest rooms aren't very clean. The beach is beautiful. Like others have said it's not swimmable. You can definitely wade in the waters along the beach but that's about it. We came on a Wednesday, the kiosks didn't open until later in the day. Some after 4pm and not all of them opened. Thursday is when more of the kiosks open through the weekend. This beach is one of my favorites that we visited. The beach is soft white sand, clear warm water and just over all beautiful. We stayed in San Juan and it took about 1.5 - 2 hrs to drive there and it was well worth it. It's like a thing to jump from the peir but we didn't. They had a jet ski rental there and a bunch of kiosk that started opening around 11am. We got there around 9 am and had no trouble finding parking close to the beach but when we left later in the day it was packed with people parking up the hill. The kiosk are very inexpensive and so worth it. I loved our day snorkeling and just laying in the sand. One of the best beaches in the island. read more

One of the best beach experiences I've ever had! Parking was about $4 and brings you almost right on the beach. There were a decent amount of people there but for the most part, everyone seemed to be keeping their distance. The water here was some of the clearest I have ever experienced in my life. You could literally see feet your underneath you when waist deep, which was a first for me. The scene is really picturesque. If you want to move even further away from people, once you step onto the beach, hang an immediate right and "set up camp" more towards the rocky jetty. Keep walking and you'll spot several large pastel colored canoes (they're pretty hard to miss) that will really make you feel like you're in the scene of a rather large and beautiful painting. The highlight of Crash Boat is really the pier. It is insanely fun to jump off side of and since it attracts a ton of fish, snorkeling was perfect. We saw schools of hundreds of fish pass right beneath and alongside us. There were even several divers with high tech cameras enjoying the underwater view as well. Speaking of cameras, be sure to bring yours as the pier of really a great spot for photo ops, especially by the very tall Puerto Rican flag. As are most of the beaches in PR, there are no lifeguards so swim at your own risk. Know your limits and ask locals and beach goers about rip currents, tides, and weather conditions before going out. read more

It was the first day the restrictions were lifted and the beach was packed! They had free parking when we got there! Plus for us! I got to see the part of the beach where ppl jumped in and swam to shore, not a thing i'm trying to do, but I'll watch you all day. lol I was on a more shallow part of the beach on the other side of the rock looking dock. The waves were super aggressive, since it's their winter and they have a lot of rip tide action happening. There was food to eat, we had grilled chicken skewers and there is also a restuarant in a lot adjacent to the beach. There were was a bench in the shade were a lot of my family sat and played dominios. Ppl were friendly and bumping their music and to my surprise a lot of black Americans have relocated to Puerto Rico, as I met a few from the States at the beach.
