I rolled up at 530 in a Thursday evening and was greeted by a great entertainer on the patio strumming live music. Food is great - thick, golden corn tortilla chips and deep, smoky salsa, tacos dorados and a fantastic spicy margarita made with fresh lime juice! The tacos were juicy and plated beautifully with lettuce, onions, avocado and crema. The beans and rice, which are usually an after thought were well seasoned and delicious! The service was friendly and fast - Eva was so sweet and accommodating! I will be back AND bring friends!

Thoughts on the dishes we tried: - Guacamole and chips: pretty good but not standout - the next time we came back, we just stuck to the chips and salsa which were tasty and filling - Ribeye: great for sharing for 2 people; the char on the meat is delicious and the dish comes with a cheese quesadilla, grilled onions, rice, and refried beans. We ended up with leftovers to take home. - Enchiladas: choose your meat and sauce to top it. I opted for the shredded chicken with green (poblano) sauce. The sauce packs a hint of spice but is a bit creamy too, and the enchiladas are packed with meat and are filling. - Quesadilla: similar to enchiladas, choose your meat or cheese only. My husband ordered the carne asada which was marinated well and flavorful. The quesadilla had good meat to cheese ratio and comes with sour cream and guacamole. Both times we left with happy and full bellies as well as leftovers. Good meals overall!

Can't believe this place doesn't have a waiting list for dinner!…read more Awesome, delicious food from a nice menu of selections, but not overwhelmingly so. Ate the birria tacos and cannot remember having any better tacos than I had tonight. Excellent service from Fernando who was enthusiastic and super friendly. There is also an excellent bar with unique and enjoyable cocktails. I could go on-and-on, but you just need to get here and try it for yourself IF you like tasty, excellent food served in a modern, wonderful atmosphere. Don't walk, RUN here and bring a friend or two!!

Chips were crispy flour (vs corn) and the salsa was delicious, with good flavor and a hint of heat). I had the Huervos Guerreros. Amazing! The pork carnitas with tomatillo sauce put it over the top! I had this for lunch, not breakfast. #Winner! My sister had the Quesabirria Consome. She liked the consume (soupy dip), birtia meat, and the beans, but the taco shells were soggy from the lettuce and onion topping, which made it impossible to dip and wasn't quite on point. This seems to be a consistent issue with birria tacos around town. The horchata was fresh made but grainier than she preferred. Portions are generous, in some cases, splittable. There are do many menu items I want to try. Service was friendly and efficient. I will be back!

My favorite Vietnamese food in Tucson in terms of the food itself…read more My favorites here: #16 Seasoned Julienned taro root with vermicelli noodles, pickled daikon and the typical vietnamese herbs etc and sweet soy sauce. It comes with fried tofu typically but they let you exchange the tofu with a couple of their delicious vietnamese crispy rice paper egg rolls that are stuffed with deliciously seasoned tofu (#14 on the menu) and that's my favorite way to order it. Mixing all of it together is heaven. This is by far my favorite here! I find that I generally really like taro- all parts of the plant! The root as served in this restaurant and in Thai desserts, the leaves in filipino laing and the stalk (elephant ear stalk) in vietnamese Canh Chua soup. #20 Fried rice noodles dish (ask for the crispy option!) . This one became quite expensive recently but when I had it in the past it was delicious. Definitely get the crispy version! #14: Those vietnamese crispy rice paper egg rolls that are stuffed with deliciously seasoned tofu are so good. They let you get them a la carte but the full plate comes with the sauce and herbs. I get them as part of #16 as described above so it has the sauce and herbs in that dish as well. I really love that they have a vegetarian and vegan menu and that they have the vegan sweet soy sauce available in place of fish sauce for that menu. The restaurant is attached to Lee Lee international supermarket which is an absolute must visit in my opinion for international food lovers and people who want to learn about world cuisines. It's a great place to find international ingredients that are not easily found elsewhere. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite!

There are several different condiments, extra napkins, and utensils already on the table for your convenience. Our food arrived quickly and both items had such depth of flavor! The rice noodles with scallion oil came with onions wrapped in beef and grilled, something we had never tried before but were just as good as it sounds. The pho broth also clearly had been simmering for hours. It was dark and rich in flavor while the veggies were still crisp and fresh. For living in central Tucson, this place is definitely worth the 20 minute drive!

She was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, and she made our whole experience feel welcoming from start to finish. The hosts were kind too. There was plenty of seating, a dedicated bar, TVs, and nice lighting. The patio has misters, which is perfect for this time of year. They offer booth and table seating, and the tables aren't packed too close together. With party members who have different mobility challenges, the spacing was great and made everything comfortable. The food was delicious. The complimentary bottomless chips and salsa were fresh and generous. If you order the horchata, it comes with free refills too, which is such a nice touch. My husband ordered 2 birria tacos with caldo and loved them. My father in law ordered 2 ground beef enchiladas with red sauce, and my mother in law ordered 2 plain ground beef tacos. I shared the ceviche with my dad, which was fresh and flavorful, and we each ordered one Quesabirria. It was so good! Dessert was perfect. We tried the flan and the chocolate flan. The chocolate flan was a moist Bundt-style chocolate cake with flan on top. Both were creamy, delicious, and enjoyed by all of us. Great service, great food, and Alexa truly made our first visit special. We'll definitely be back!
