I am a new patient at the Claremont location and so far, wow, it is everything that my former dermatologist's office was lacking. VERA has a boutique feel, the wait was almost non-existent, and I didn't feel rushed. Tests were ordered, prescriptions were sent, and I was given really good information. Making an appointment was also super simple. Such a difference from my old office (they were big with many locations) who rarely answered the phones, hardly ever returned calls, had a crammed waiting room, ran behind with appointments (overbooking, probably), and rushed you out of there. I have tried to make an appointment for the last couple of days. No one answers their phone. You are placed on hold for at least 10 minutes. Even when I call back, I am placed on hold. As a new patient, this is not a good sign. I will be letting my primary physician know to never refer this location or doctor. The office must be really busy if they cannot answer the phone. On Feb 9-2024, my daughter had a referral to see Dr. Song at Claremont location, but without warning, we were seen by a PA-C instead. PA-C Fan seemed nice, but as a PA, she is not qualified to work independently without the main doctor to see a patient with severe eczema. 1. She could not explain the result of the blood test given by our family physician, trying to avoid it by switching the subject many times. 2. She could not decide which medication to give for a breast inflamation. So, she gave out two tiny tubes of free samples (Opzelura and Eurisa---Opzelura was just approved by the FDA on 2022, and Eurisa was in 2016), which made the skin more erupted. 3. She contradicted herself when advising not to take a bath for more than 15 minutes, but then also said it's a must to soak in a full tub of water mixed with bleach daily for over 15 minutes (for a breast infection). 4. She did not know what oral medicine to give, so she advised us to continue using the medication given by our family physician for 20 days, then make an appointment to see her a month later. Even we told her our family doctor wasn't sure on the medication and we needed to check with a specialist. In general, Dr. Song should take her patients seriously. Not just have her name for appointments, then use her assistants to treat patients in multiple locations, especially those who have severe symptoms. When we reached out to Dr. Song personally about the medication whether we should continue, she refused to talk to us, and we could not make another appointment with her except continuing to see her other two PA-Cs in other locations (Claremont and Chino) For future doctor appointments, I will record every single conversation to make sure that the doctors' names are associated with their faces without any substitutions, unless we agree to it! It's hard to find good doctors out there, who really are as they say they are! read more

Went to the Rowland Heights location: Reception is rude (not sure of her name) and they don't go by appointment time, nor first come first serve. Be prepared to spend extra time. This location is only open on Wednesdays and under-equipped. It's better to make appointment at their other offices to avoid going back and forth. read more

Not recommended. Bad service last minute calls cancelled my appointment said they now open that day. If not open they should know in advance then don't schedule appointments on that date. Last minute cancel my appointment and ask me go in at 10am when they called already 9:40. And I'm far away. Said they did call me few times and leave massage. I had an appointment at 11:45 AM on a Tuesday, and it took 30 minutes until Dr. Song saw me. Which I think is a long time considering the date and time. Then, after the visit, I got prescribed two medications for my acne. One drug gave me constant headaches, so I called in for my concerns and was told to stop taking the drug. However, after calling in about my concerns, they told me they had to reschedule my follow-up appointment! It wasn't even a coincidence because the person calling knew I called in about my headaches. I ended up canceling because I didn't want to deal with their poor service. Also, their medications had little to no effect. I still got acne, which swayed me towards canceling. I wouldn't go here unless you want long wait times or have your appointment inconveniently rescheduled. read more

I had my first Botox with Dr. Song this week. I was a little nervous to take the leap but she made me feel very comfortable and thoroughly and patiently explained the procedure. I called their Claremont office to book an appointment to have some moles checked and removed. I told them I planned to remove the moles whether or not they looked suspicious. They told me the soonest available appt. was at their Chino location. I wasn't aware they even had a Chino location (at this time it doesn't even appear on their website yet) Claremont is definitely closer to me but I took the Chino appt. since that office could get me in much sooner. A couple days after booking I received a call, asking if I could come at a later date instead. I wasn't thrilled because I had already made childcare arrangements for that day and the whole reason I agreed to this location was to get in sooner. Then it figures that the new date they offered happened to be the same day we were going out of town! I told her that date didn't work and could I just keep the original appointment. Then it gets weird...she said the reason they couldn't see me on the original date was because they didn't have any tools. I wasn't sure I heard correctly so I asked her to repeat/clarify and she said they couldn't see me until after the first of the month because they didn't have any of the tools needed to perform a mole removal. Glad they figured that out before I got there but why the heck are they even booking appointments then! The whole call was extremely unprofessional, the girl who called sounded childish and wasn't remotely apologetic. Under different circumstances I would have just waited to get in at their Claremont location since that was my original intent but based on the call I decided to cancel the appointment altogether and take my business elsewhere. read more
