If you want cosmetic care and want to pay $$$$, maybe this is for you, but if you want regular health care, stay away. Office lied about product costs. I took in my teen daughter for acne. Dr. Liskanich prescribed medication not covered by insurance and told me to go to a specific pharmacy near the office--not my preferred pharmacy--for the medications. Surprise(!), they don't take my insurance. Instead of educating about OTC products for her to use, he has his office prepare products to buy from him. I'm quoted $50ish dollars and buy the two products (it's convenient). Then, I get my bank statement and the office charged me $101! The person only quoted me for one product, but charged me twice the amount. I would NOT have purchased the non-prescription products totaling over $100 from his office. This is highly unprofessional and it all seems a little unethical-not educating patient or giving options for products, some inside deal with the pharmacy down the street, directing people there for non-covered medications. read more

THE MOST HEINOUS EXPERIENCE I have ever had at any doctor's office. Round of sarcastic applause for Liz and her utter lack of customer service skills, personality and apparent skill set to help the general public. YIIIIKES! My initial interaction with the office staff was nothing special to note. I was examined by Dr. Liskanich, who in my opinion, lacked bedside manner and was rather abrupt during my exam. I was told to lay on my back, and without any communication he began cauterizing a mole off of my stomach and without numbing of any kind to boot. That kind of shocked me. Having never had a procedure like this done, I proceeded to ask questions about scarring etc. He appeared to be put off to respond back, as if worries of this nature were absolutely unreasonable of me. When I asked when results would be in, he told me that they would contact me in two weeks. Three weeks later, I had to be the one to call naturally. The male member of the office staff ultimately gave me false results of the biopsies done and told me I had two forms of skin cancer. While I can appreciate giving me the information promptly so next steps could be taken, 1. I had to be the one to call 2. the results given were absolutely false and confirmed by another doctor. The C word is a pretty emotionally charged and concerning word to be used so cavalierly, but even up to this point, I just knew I wouldn't go back to this office. My father, also a patient, went in for his follow up exam and asked about how to get medical records transferred. He was told I would need to call the new doctor to get in touch with this facility to have my records transferred for free, otherwise I would have to pay a $35 processing fee to have my records released to me in person. No problem, I'll call the new doctor, easy peasy. NOPE! After office hours and the evening before my second opinion with a new dermatologist - because remember, I think I have two types of skin cancer, based on the results given by Dr. Liskanich's office staff - I get a voicemail from Liz stating that the doctor "doesn't feel comfortable releasing my records" and that I need to go down to their office to sign a release. She states that I can come to the office the following day to release my records. I call back immediately and express my frustration for 1. the late notification 2. the incorrect information given to release my information in the first place. Liz was extremely rude on the phone stating that it essentially wasn't her issue since she wasn't the person who provided the information as to how to obtain my records. So instead of providing customer service and apologizing for the confusion, her response was to hang up on me. What an absolute gem! The following day, I find myself at the office to sign said paperwork and to confront Liz on her crappy and unnecessary attitude. Liz's response, with the highest level of maturity, is to raise her voice and talk over me stating that I was rude to her so I deserved it. HAHA She then tells me that to give me my records is $35. I advise her I have a voicemail stating she would release my files to me if I came down to the office, and here I stand. When I asked to speak to someone else, she lied and stated she was the only one in the office and refused to release my records to me. I let her know I would be remaining there until she got someone else to assist me. It ultimately resulted in a very kind lady coming over to address the situation. Low and behold, the first response she had was an apology for the miscommunication. SHOCKING! The first response that should have been given all along. She advised me that I need to go to the new doctor's office to sign a release form for them to gather my information, not their office. I reiterated my frustration since Liz advised me that I needed to be at their office to have my records released. No doubt a purposeful release of misinformation. I thanked her nonetheless and was on my way. A few months later I realized a receipt was never sent. I was told that it had to be emailed to me so I called to have it resent. I was advised they only provide physical receipts. Liz again did not disappoint in person. She took 10 minutes to twiddle her thumbs. She provided me the literal checklist the doctor used during the exam with a handwritten total at the bottom. I asked her for an itemized receipt for my insurance company. She protests this is the only thing they provide as a receipt. Due to extreme lack of maturity and apparent skillset to handle this minimal task, she refuses to further help me and gets someone else. A few moments later I was addressed by the billing department and given an itemized receipt. CRAZY! Exactly what I needed all along. I thanked the woman for her time and left. This experience happened several months ago in July and August of 2021. Liz takes the cake for the worst employee I've ever dealt with. I came here for an acne "consultation" he didn't even allow me to take off my mask so I don't understand how he effectively treated me. He must have did about 3-4 extractions (you would get a better job done at a spa) anyways and prescribed me some medication. With insurance I ended up paying $230 and $80 for the "medication" he prescribed that didn't work. Not worth it at all, very disappointed, if you go for a consultation don't let him extract because that in itself will cost you$150. You will get better results from a facial. read more

I had heard absolutely amazing things about this office because of Dr. Steven's. When they said I'd see the other doctor since Dr. Steven's was booked a few months in advance, I decided to go for it. It should've been a red flag. Dr. Liskanich was the doctor I saw and I was extremely unimpressed. He was rude and didn't want me to ask any questions. He had (what seemed to be) an intern with him that almost seemed embarrassed to be working with him. I left with very few of my concerns addressed and was upset by the entire interaction. The skin treatments and medication he prescribed was also awful and not related to what I came in for. Huge waste of time and money. . I will absolutely not be going back. My appt was at 3:15. I walked into the office at 3:10. The waiting room was full and patients were standing outside. Upon signing in I asked the receptionist if there was a long wait to see the dr. She stated there was not. At 3:55 she called me to the window to ask for ID. I reminded her that my appt time was 40 minutes ago. She apologized and said they were short staffed but again said there was no wait. I sat back down and waited another 20 min before I left without being seen. I planned my whole day around this appt. I had high hopes for this place as it was highly recommended. I was prescribed a product that didn't address my concern of hyperpigmentation. The Dr prescribed something that takes care of redness. They're not the same thing. The acne slowed down but was never fully eliminated. Then they gave me the wrong SPF so I had to go back the next day to exchange it. Pretty inefficient despite having an appointment. Now I have a severe flare up and in search of a dermatologist that can address issues that melanin skin is prone to. read more

This office always overbook the appointments so the waiting room is usually packed and you are never seen during your scheduled time (you might be waiting for an hour). The front office staff is competent, but I suppose since things are always so busy, they also lean on the unfriendly side. The several visits I had involved first seeing a nurse, then talking to a young doctor who seemed to be in training (Dr. Shahsavari sp?), then after waiting some more, one of the two senior doctors (they're a married couple). Dr. Shahsavari is such a sweet person with excellent bedside manner and took the time to get to know me and answer any medical questions I had. The senior doctors, though they dispense accurate medical advice, just look your skin over for a few seconds, then tell the junior doctor what it is and what prescriptions to write up. You barely have any interaction with Dr. Stevens or Dr. Liskanich at all, and they rush off to the next patient before you can ask them any questions. I found Dr. Liskanich to be too pushy and insistent on me purchasing the skincare products they sell in house. I'm not made of money so I'm not going to needlessly spend $30 on a bottle of facial cleanser! I would avoid this office. It's obvious they care more about making money than respecting their patients' time. I have a new dermatologist now: I was seen on time, the office staff was friendly, and my doctor was patient and thorough in answering any questions I had with my prescriptions or managing my skin condition. Moreover, at Dr. Stevens and Liskanich's office, you can only get a refill of your prescription within six months of your last visit; at my new office, I have a full year. read more

Dr. Ronald Liskanich D.O. was short and rude in dealing with my mother's appointment regarding a few moles. She had all the normal complaints already addressed on this form extensive waiting times, poor communication skills (from both the doctors and the staff), etc. We even had to seek outside help to understand the diagnosis. This entailed having this office fax us the lab results. After receiving the fax their office fax machine continued to redial us for the next 24 hours. We tried to call their office and apparently there's no one there or able to except phone calls. A menacing practice with subpar customer service. STAY AWAY! Finally there was one more issue. My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Liskanich for over a year for her acne. We have spent hundreds of dollars on treatments, prescriptions and creams to no avail. She just wanted her acne cleared up for her senior pictures which isn't going to happen. Dr Liskanich is a very smart guy who definitely knows his stuff. He knows exactly what is needed for your situation and will help you get the results for whatever skin problem you're having, and he's easy to talk to. My advice is to book an early morning appointment, otherwise you may be waiting in the waiting room for a while. Same as any other doctor. Treatments can be expensive but they are effective and worth it. I went to him for acne, and before that I was a shy and timid guy who would get frustrated by breakouts and it was actually affecting my life. But after a few months into the medications and changing my habits and cleansing routine, my confidence has gone way up because I don't need to worry about people being distracted by my acne. I took my father in to see Dr. Liskanich today. I should preface that my father is 71, and has stage 4 metastatic cancer. He is very, very weak, and has lost a lot of weight. Also he is on oxygen. Oxygen tanks don't last long and we have to budget our time wisely when we leave the house. Medical PROFESSIONALS know this and always take great pains to get patients on oxygen in and out quickly because of this. Also, my father does not have the strength to stand for very long or to walk far. The appointment was at 3:15 and we arrived at 3pm. There were no seats for my father to sit in the waiting room. I explained my father's medical situation to the staff (I also called earlier and left a message explaining my father's condition). The women in the office refuse to help as they sat around chatting it up and even taking calls that sounded personal. My poor father had to stay out in the hot car because Dr. Liskanich's staff (who look like they spend TOO much time sitting) refused to find a chair for my father . By the way, it's August! The doctor did not see him until after 4:15. My father waited over an hour. Finally, when I told Dr. Liskanich that his staff refused to help my dad, he turned around and snapped at me and said that my dad could just go to another doctor. I've never seen a doctor behave like this. It is so unprofessional and extremely disappointing. He and his staff have shown such an ugly lack of compassion today. I can't believe Dr. Liskanich attacked me for telling him how his office staff treated my father. He had no right to get angry at us. We did nothing to him, other than report what had happened to us in the waiting room. He should have been thanking us, for letting him know what was going on out there. Again: 1- Dad arrived on time for his appointment. 2- I called in advance asking for help. How am I supposed to believe that it is just and right for an extremely frail, old man, with a limited supply of oxygen to be forced to wait outside in the August heat while the doctor offers air conditioned seating and first care to healthy young people who are there for some acne cream? Couldn't the strong and healthy 17-year-old guy in the waiting room waited an additional 10 minutes to see the doctor? Was he going to run out of oxygen? Eh overall the place isn't bad and the services I received were adequate. I went for an annual mole check and experienced what has already been mentioned; extremely small/overcrowded waiting area and over an hour wait plus an additional 20 minutes once in the room. The other issue I had was one couple had their huge poodle in the small waiting area. I don't mind dogs, but everyone isn't a fan of them due to allergies, trauma, etc. Would've been nice to get a warning prior to encountering that thing. Lastly their website doesn't take online payments; it's almost 2020. Dr Liskanich is very kind and patient. I occasionally get large cysts that pop up on my face very quickly. In addition to looking terrible they are very painful and throb. They are always able to fit me in to get a quick cortisone injection which helps calm them down and makes them heal much faster. Dr Lischanich and his wife are both wonderfully knowledgeable doctors who spend a good amount of time with me. I did have a wait on my first office visit to see the dr, but from there on out, I have been taken in on a timely basis. The products Dr recommended to me have always delivered on their promises. He has never recommended something to me that was un-needed or did not work. I was recently there for a filler treatment and Dr did mention a new eye cream that he liked for women. His exact words were "when you run out of your current eye cream, you might want to try this one. It is cheaper than the one you are currently using and works better in my opinion." I absolutely love what Dr has done to improve my face and make me look years younger than I am. He NEVER overdoes it like other physicians do on the filler. I recently asked him to puff up my lips. I wanted him to do more than he felt comfortable doing as he did not want to give me a "fake" look. I begrudgingly agreed with him, had the treatment done, and could not be happier. When I go in to have more treatments done, he will only do what he feels I need. Never tries to oversell me. BTW I have searched for prices on the internet for the products he recommended for me and his prices are the same as I could purchase on the internet. He does not inflate them. He truly is a kind and professional doctor whom one should be lucky to be his patient. I cannot say enough about him and his wife. Today was my second visit with Dr. Lischanich and I am looking forward to the next appointment I have with him for next month. In two visits when my skin was given a yearly check and the skin on my face was assessed at my request by him, my face looks better than it ever has by using all the hundreds of facial products I have purchased over the last twenty years. Dr. Lischanich took care of areas of concern immediately. Dr. Lischanich is professional, takes his time to answer questions, gives no judgment and he will not make you schedule another appointment, if in the time you are there you request a procedure to be done. This saves on my time by not having to return to have the procedure done. The wait is worth it to me. I am in, done and out. I suggest bringing a book in case you experience a bit of a wait. read more

I've been going to Dr Liskanich for 5 years and I am more than completely satisfied with the service he and his staff provide. Yes, you will have a wait, and sometimes it will be a long wait. But it is eminently worth it for the excellence of expertise you will receive. Dr Liskanich is a genius! He was one of the first doctors in the cosmetic dermatology industry and he is probably the most skilled practitioner outside of the most exclusive Beverly Hills doctors. I go in there looking tired and old and I come out looking ten years younger without the unseemly lumps and bumps that I have gotten from the many other cosmetic practitioners I have visited over the years. Dr Liskanich is so good at it that my friends, my husband and my children never even know when I have had procedures done. Also, he won't do anything he doesn't think I need, no matter how much I beg him. Now that is professionalism! My advice to any patient is to just prepare for a long wait when you go there. Just bring a book or your smartphone to occupy you while you wait, and maybe a bottle of water. That's what I do and I'm always pleasantly surprised when I get to go in quickly, which is about half the time. What ever you do, don't make a fool of yourself by making a scene when you have to wait too long, because everyone else knows the procedure and they will all be laughing under their breaths at your ignorance. I saw a man in there the other day getting all hot under the collar about the long wait, snarling at the receptionist that he'll find a new doctor, blah, blah, blah. I was appalled by his uncouth behavior and his rudeness to the staff, who btw, were just doing their jobs to the best of their abilities in a super popular, crazy-busy and somewhat cramped office. I applaud them for their tolerance and gentle attitudes. They have to deal with the rudest patients and they do a marvelous job... Be a patient patient (lolz), and you will be rewarded with the best of the best in dermatology. read more

I was going to have my daughters last visit and simply go to another dermatologist after 4 visits completed her treatment today. But I have to give them a review since the front staff has been consistently rude at every visit, even when it's not towards us, you hear their sarcastic references towards others while addressing them, and towards each other, simply rude. They overbook 'always' so be prepared to wait 1-2 hrs past your apt time, when you ask them, there response of well it's specialty care there's always a wait is unacceptable. People overcrowd the waiting room and elderly ask them where to sit, they perplexed look of it's your problem. The doctors seem knowledgeable but i wouldn't accept their staff and process for small issues anyone can see. If you have an option I would seek better. read more

I first saw Dr. Liskanich last fall for a full body exam. I waited for over an hour in the waiting room and then another almost half hour in the exam room. He did the exam - I pointed out a few things that I was concerned about but he dismissed them saying that I was older and this expected (I was 76 at the time). A couple months ago two spots came up on my leg and I knew they were probably squamous cell cancers so made an appointment and again waited and waited in the waiting room and another almost half hour in the exam room. when Dr. Liskanich entered he looked at them and at both legs - I had a few other spots that had come up and he said that he thought they were flea bites. I was appalled by this determination but he almost immediately asked the assistant that was with him to go get Dr. Stevens. She came in and looked at the one he pointed out and she said, it needs a biopsy. He argued with her briefly saying that he believed they were flea bites. Dr. Stevens left the room and he grudgingly took a biopsy of only one of the two I thought were squamous cell cancers. He told me to make an appointment for 6 weeks. I thought that was a long time away to wait for a biopsy but left and made that appointment. In approximately two weeks their front office called to tell me that the biopsy had returned saying that I had a squamous cell cancer; that the doctors would talk and get back to me with recommendations. I got a call in a couple of days saying that Dr. Liskanich wanted to do a punch biopsy (this goes down to the muscle and as Is understand it, it is round in nature). I decided at that point given his thoughts that these were flea bites; that he had not taken a biopsy of the second spot that I thought was a squamous cell; his dismissive attitude and his general rudeness, that I needed a second opinion. I went back to the dermatologist that I'd been seeing for some years but was a long drive away. I decided that drive was well worth it since I trusted her implicitly as she had taken care of a squamous cell cancer on my face. They got me right in; she did a full body check; took a biopsy on the second spot on my leg; took a new biopsy on my upper arm. The second spot was indeed another squamous cell cancer and the upper arm biopsy revealed a melanoma. She got me into her surgery calendar within days and also took care of the two squamous cell cancers along with several pre-cancerous spots on my legs. I feel very lucky that I went back to my original dermatologist. Dr. Stevens called me this morning; she was very defensive and trying to protect their brand in the area. I told her that I was going to put what happened onto Yelp and she said that she hoped I would tell the truth. She feels that since I did not give them a chance to take a second body scan that fault lies with me (she fails to take into consideration that on that first visit that he saw the second squamous cell but was so sure it was a flea bite). I could not go back to them given the misdiagnosis (flea bites instead of squamous cell cancers); his inability to take a look at my entire body at that time given all that was going on with my legs (thus putting off treatment on a melanoma); 6 weeks away would/could have given this melanoma time to get involved with my lymph nodes. I have zero trust in this office. They are very busy so it is almost impossible to get in to see them quickly; this concerns me as I worry about someone else that might not go toward a second opinion. read more
