Because I had never shaved my face before, the shaving required for the treatments has completely altered my hair growth and left me in a worse position. A major issue is the lack of consistency. While the rotating staff obviously know they are treating my lip and chin, they have absolutely no idea whether there has been any actual improvement because no single person tracks your progress over time or knows what specific areas to focus on. When I brought up that my hair is actively worse than when I started, their only solution was to suggest I go on a maintenance plan, that is 70% off. I understand that maintenance may be needed eventually, but that should be for after a successful period of time. Pushing a maintenance plan right away when the initial treatment failed and made the problem worse feels incredibly tone-deaf. For the price and the promises made, I expected much better results and continuity of care.

Although I shared my past results, I was told by Fairy that IPL can't remove dark spots or freckles, which contradicts both my experience and widely available information about the treatment. After the session, I didn't experience any of the typical post-treatment reactions, such as redness, and I saw no results in the weeks that followed. Overall, this felt like a combination of outdated equipment and limited experience with delivering effective IPL results. I wouldn't recommend this spa for IPL.
