I have been a loyal Venus Med Spa client for over 10 years. I am writing this post on behalf of all Illinois-based clients who, like me, have been taken advantage of by Venus in Illinois. The world should know that Venus closed its doors in Illinois in March/April and took all of our $$$$ with them to Florida! Like thieves in the night, they did not notify any client, stole our money, and were gone. The Venus Med Spa client model is to offer lower prices for procedures (botox, filler, etc) with customers paying pre-paid. In March, Venus closed its three locations in Illinois and took our money with them. I have called the Venus leaders, including the COO and CFO. After multiple calls and finger-pointing pointing I still have not been refunded, and although Venus has confirmed they owe me money, no one will commit to refunding me what they know they stole. If you call the Illinois locations, the phones go nowhere. A Google search makes it appear that all locations are open, which is another LIE! Venus, I don't know how you sleep at night! You know there is a lot of competition in your space, and clients travel from IL to FLA. Taking advantage of clients who were loyal to you is unacceptable, and I'm confident there is a special place in HELL for businesses who close their doors in one state while thriving in Florida and take no accountability to refund your clients. I came for in for dysport with Kasha and I am very impressed with her. She did a great job and I feel really comfortable with her. I hope she sticks around so I can continue to see her. The top photo is one that I took the morning of the appointments (one syringe) and the bottom is one that I took today. Literally, no difference at all. This isn't my first time getting fillers and I'm very disappointed. I had Arlyn do the filler for me which cost well over $400 since I did a lip flip. Which was extremely weird because lip flips are ALWAYS included in the price. Was wary why I had to pay an additional $80 for it... Anyways, I contacted Arlyn about my concerns and waited to see my options. I requested either a full refund or at least fix my lips as there's no difference whatsoever. She continues to try to sell me more but this time an entirely different product. The injector took her time to make sure it was perfect and did a thorough consult before to make sure I was getting the right product as I have already had some filler in my lips. Sana is the PA that did my injection, she had a great personality. This was my first time for a lip injection. I was nervous and excited at the same time. I watched a bunch of YouTube videos before coming in to know what to expect, however Sana did a different technique then I saw. A cannula technique? She said you get less bruising. Well the first two days I was severely swollen, I was ok with that. The third day the bruising came, not on my lips but above my lips. My friends and family kept asking me if I had a mustache. It was a embarrassing, how can I work. I thought if it was a less bruising technique, I wonder how I would have looked with the other technique I saw. Well it is four days later, still have the mustache bruise....which stands out with my fair skin. Now I gave less stars due to the front desk staff. It was my first time....no one told what to expect nor if there was anything I needed to do to prepare. Upon arriving I was given a form to fill out. The girl at the front desk wanted the least amount of communication with me. I tried to make small talk with her while I checked in....I got nothing. As I waited for my appointment...I wasn't asked if I had any questions, wanted to know about any other services they offered, not offered or shown where the magazines or spa menu was....most of all not offered any water or tea to drink. After my service with sweet Sana....I checked out with the same front desk girl. I asked her for some bottled water....she said the spa doesn't offer any....but still didn't offer me a glass of tap water. Come on....it doesn't cost anything to ha e a pitcher of water and glasses. Especially after I spent so much money. Then I walked out. I spent hundreds of dollars for a service and couldn't even get a glass of water. I spent hundreds of dollars and didn't even get a thank you for coming to our spa....come again, here's our menu, do you want to make another appointment ....nothing... Bottom line I came for the price originally...Sana was sweet but I hate my ugly mustache bruise and hopes it goes away soon. The worst was the lack of customer service at the front desk, they had such an opportunity to easily win me over. I was so excited to finally be able to afford a service I wanted for so long. Maybe I will love my lips after the bruise is gone and come back to Sana. I am just big on customer service. read more

I am super impressed and excited to have found an office for all my needs. I have large lips to begin with but I've always disliked how smaller my top lip was compared to my bottom lip. The corners of my lips also were downturned. I've done my research and I've compared prices for atleast a year and a half for several medical offices that provide fillers (including a plastic surgeon's office) and they all start at $550+. By chance I walked in to this office at a time they have a sale going on ($350+) and decided to get them done. I'm so happy that I did! To begin with, my consultation with the PA was extremely informative and pleasant. I did not feel pressured at all and all my questions were answered. The procedure itself took about 20 minutes from getting in the chair and out the door. She took her time and although it is painful, it isn't anything you can't handle. She was able to fix the symmetry and the downturn which is exactly what I wanted. Even with the swelling still in place my lips look amazing! I can't wait to see the final result. Their prices are very reasonable and you can't beat their hours. I'm a long time customer now and trust that the staff will do an amazing job no matter what. read more

Have been to the Oak Brook location several times. Today they called and canceled two hours before my appointment, that I had scheduled at least a week in advance. They even called me on Sunday night to confirm the appointment. I will not be back. There are several other places in the area that offer the same services and hopefully don't cancel two hours before your appointment. read more

I have been going to Venus for years. I have seen 2 different injectors. I went in today to have filler done in my cheeks and lips. I arrived a little late but was greeted by Daisy a new injector i had never seen before. After a little confusion with the schedule there wasnt time for me to get my procedures done. I had driven over an hour and was excited to get the work done. Daisy went right into action and fixed everything and ended up taking up her time on a Saturday to make sure i got what i came for. I cannot thank her enough. Not only is she an amazing person she is a very good injector. Highly recommend going to see her. read more

I am leaving this review because I see there is not one review talking about the esthetician's or facials at this Woodfield location. I had a gift certificate given to me and scheduled my appointment for microdermabrasion and a facial with Anne. She was not the friendliest of esthetician's but that was fine. I myself being an esthetician and having given and received many facials, can honestly and sadly say how very disappointing my experience's here were. The room is not very comfortable and after being brought back to room I thought I would be asked to change into a robe or towel for my facial but nope, had to keep my sweater on which is very odd. In order to use the gift certificate I had to come twice and thought maybe the second time would be better but sorry to say it was not. Both times I left with product all over my clothes and actually at the end of my second visit she saw I had product on my sweater and grabbed a dirty wet towel off the floor and used it to try and clean off the product from my top. I was never offered water after, which is a must to be given water to hyrdrate yourself after a facial. I was never talked to or "educated" about any products she used on me. The hand mirror I was given after my facial to fix my hair was plastic with the handle broken off and jagged edges. Just an all around unprofessional, disappointing experience. I will never return back here again and absolutely would not recommend them for facials or microderm. read more

I got my lips done last week and Sana did an incredible job. She made me feel really comfortable for my first time. I was only disappointed after I was rang up with the secretary. I called a week in advance to book the appointment because there was a special going on up until the 20th ($100 off). I let the woman on the phone know that I was a new client and I was interested in the deal that was promoted on their website. She scheduled me and let me know that I would have to come in before the 20th for that deal (I was hoping to pay in advance and then go in closer to Valentine's Day). After I had gotten my lips done, I was rang up with the secretary and was charged full price ($500). I asked why I was being charged full price and she said because I wasn't a returning client...but, the online deal did not advertise for returning clients only, in fact, it does not mention that the deal is not for new clients at all. I would have gotten them done closer to Valentine's Day if I knew I wasn't going to be getting the $100 off. Overall, happy with my lips...thanks Sana! I just think the salon should tell clients when they're booking that if they are new then the deals promoted do not apply to them.... read more

To be honest I was very nervous about going to get my lips done here and after my experience I do not plan on going to anyone other than Sana. I had gotten my lips done at another place near by. The doctor who conducted my procedure was nice enough but she spread out the product a little too much so I did not see much of a difference at all. I wanted to even out and fill out my lips as they were not symmetrical. She used Juvederm ultra in my lips, and on a scar under my lip. After about a month and a half I came to see Sana as I could no longer see my results. As she finished up her appointment her patient came out and told me that shes from out of state but travels for work and she comes here just so Sana can do her lips. I have to say she wasn't exaggerating. Sana did an outstanding job. My lips are perfectly symmetrical and full now. I will say the swelling was a lot more obvious this time and the cannula hurt more than the needle for me and the results are so worth it!! read more

Horrible service extremely rude staff do not come here unless you want to be disappointed. Staff gets very offended and defensive when you ask a simple question like how long they have been working there/practicing, which is a completely normal question to ask somebody when they are about to put a needle in your face. Besides that the receptionist in the front was rude, everybody has a stuck up attitude and they don't care about you, they just want your money. It was obvious they were just trying to get me out of there and on to the next person, whenever you ask a question they seem really bothered and annoyed. Rude staff , not a welcoming atmosphere. I received a special on my email and decided to check this place out. I was looking to get my lips done but was in no rush. I have gotten lip injections twice before and had great experiences. Since I am new to the area and Venus med spa was most convenient and looked like a decent place with a great price compared to where I have gone before, I decided to visit on my day off from work. Walked in and immediately noticed the front desk lady. Right off the bat she was very rude and wouldn't even properly answer any of my concerns and questions. The place was clean which was a plus. I really got a bad vibe from the front desk girl and never had experienced such rude customer service. She was very unprofessional. I asked her if there any pamphlets I can take a look at she would just say "NO". She would either answer with "no" or "I don't know". Very unknowldgable and sounded like she didn't know anything about the business. When I asked her about the special she looked confused and didn't want to give any information. I went back again a different day and give it another shot since I was at the mall and didnt want to pass up the good deal. I met a different front desk lady and left an appointment and told her about my experience. she apologized and seemed welcoming and sounded knowledgeable . She actually gave me also a couple pamphlets to take home which was great. I left an appointment and felt better and happy that I'm still getting my special discount. When I went in for the appointment it was the worst experience/service I have ever received. The nurse practitioner NINA so rude and unpersonable. I had taken a day off work so I didn't really want to turn back and not go through with the service. Like anyone getting something done it's normal to be nervous. I wanted to ask NINA the nurse servicing me a couple questions and she seemed very stand offish and made me feel super uncomfortable. She kept saying to go somewhere else If I didn't feel comfortable when I was just asking her simple questions. She said to go somewhere else at least 3 or 4 times. At the end of the day I brushed it off got my lips done due to not having another off day from work. I gave this place 2 chances. Once with the front desk , second with the nurse aesthetian. I didn't like how my lips turned out either. They did not turn out how I expected them to and how they have looked every other time I've gotten them done. Just seemed like they wanted to get me in and out and on to the next client, not personable at all I had to try really hard to have a conversation with my nurse practitioner or to get her to answer any of my questions. Overall I was very disappointed with the service itself as well as the staff there. I never write reviews but my experience was so bad that I had to take the time to write out this long review. I walked by several times and I've even tried to make a appointment over the phone. Everytime I wanted to make an appointment either in person or by phone the receptionist requested payment if full before I ever received any services. For that reason I never tried Venus Med Spa...until, I received a e-mail offering fantastic specials and I thought I give it one more try. Tammy answered the phone and couldn't have been any nicer or more helpful. She did not request a depoit or payment. She said "Pay when you get here!" If it were not for her I would have never gone. When I arrived she greeted me and we had a great conversation. The doctor arrived and she was wonderful. I felt very comfortable and I loved the treatment's I received.
