I needed my roots touched up and a cut to reshape my current style. My hair is fairly short. I did not receive my same haircut, in fact I cut it when I could inspect it more when I arrived home. I went to pay for what I now was clearly becoming distraught about, and I was told my bill was $550. I gasped! I did not even have a full color, I has in the shop for less than an hour, this would have bought me more than two haircuts and colors at my regular salon. I asked for the breakdown in price and was not given one. This is outrageous! Not to mention I cut my own hair when I arrived home. I have no words. I've been to salons that push back, but I like my brows tinted before threaded since they're so light colored, and without the tint, sometimes they overthread. I got my girlstache waxed and my eyebrows threaded. I told her how I wanted my eyebrows and she did not disappoint. She cleaned up my eyebrows and was very thorough. Nice clean lines and while I did hear the thread break a couple of times, she was able to get more thread and kept it moving with breaking a sweat. It was great. As far as my lip wax, she was super thorough, taking great care in waxing and ensure that there was nothing else left over. When she was putting on the aloe vera gel, she gives your eyebrows and your face a little message and it felt so good. It really helped me to relax and enjoy the experience. I really, really enjoyed my time at this salon. It was my first time trying it today but it won't be my last. Prices are decent and I tip too so if they continue to be as good as they are today, I will continue to give them my service. Don't let it scare you away! Inside Lift it is a hidden gem of a place. Bo took my appointments over the phone and couldn't have been nicer. What a friendly, kind soul he is. He greeted me at the door and introduced me first to Tina, who gave me the best facial experience I've ever had. She also did my eyebrows and lip. She used hot rocks for the massage part-- it was AMAZING! And the bed was heated, which on a cold day like yesterday, just felt heavenly. She was so thorough with the facial and took her time to tell me what she was doing each step of the way. This was my first facial in 10 years-- but I'll be back. What a treat, and very reasonably priced! Then I moved over to Jennifer, who took so much time listening to what I wanted to do with my cut and color. I'm currently in the mid-stages of letting my natural color (gray/ white) grow in, and I explained this to Jennifer. When I arrived I confirmed I intended to use the gift certificate and I was told it was not valid and they would not honor it. I find it inconsistent to capitalize on the Kossof name but not honor the Kossof obligations. Will never go there again.
