This person who recommended me always had beautiful color. I was looking for a single process dye. I wanted my highlights to show through. If someone is trained properly with color, this is not hard. Apparently, the woman I was recommend to did not have the training. Her name is Sona and I would NEVER recommend her. She is a nice person but runs her clients like an assembly line. She does not listen to the customer. I came in with sun bleached hair. I do a lot of gardening. The sun does change the color. I wanted her to get as close to the natural color of my hair as possible which is brunette. This has never been a problem before. She looked in my hair and said she could see where it was darker. Instead of making the color what I wanted, she made the color match the sun bleached hair which was easier for her so she could get to the next client. My hair has a red glow. It is really ugly. I refuse to go out in public looking like this. Does nobody understand what this does to a person? I just want to cry every time I look in a mirror. She really did a number on me. She also said I needed a glaze. I never had this before from anyone. I have no idea what a glaze is or what it does. She never explained this to me nor did she tell me the cost. The customer always needs to be informed so the customer can make a logical decision. I figured this would be a temporary color wash. Maybe $10? When I went to pay I got sticker shock they added on $35.Not everyone in the NorthShore is wealthy like most assumes. I know the value if a dollar but I struggle for every penny. This was a scam in my eyes and to get a commission for something that was not needed. Be ware of additional costly services that are not needed. In all my years of having my hair colored,I never had a glaze on a single process dye. I still have no idea why one needs this. I did talk to the manager. I wanted to talk to the owner but she made herself obsolete. I don't like talking through people. This is how misunderstanding and miscommunications happen. I did talk to the manager who talked to the owner. Horrible! You need to talk directly with the owner. This never happened. I asked many times. I also asked this manager if this somewhat of a colorist is a master colorist or on her way. I wanted to see her certificates. Apparently she is just someone off the streets who does coloring. She has no certificates for me to see. She was not licensed. In all my years of coloring my hair, I have never seen anything like this. I was told they would tear up my check. We will see if this is true but I was also told I can not have any of their services again. They think this is customer service friendly. I don't think so. I was left with a mess that will be very costly and take many months to correct. The color is uneven. I am so embarrassed. They simply do not care. I do not recommend going here. It was a horrible experience. Just be honest if you can't do what the customer wants. This is all I have ever asked.

One side is all about nails, the other side is all about hair, and spa services are downstairs. All the women working here are dedicated to their craft; no one leaves unless they get married, have a baby, move, or retire! They do take a little time to get to know you, so give it a minute. I have been going here for nails for over 15 years. Vaida's manicures last a full week, and she changes what base coat or topcoat she uses on me based on my nails (she can tell if I've been washing a lot of dishes). She brings her own polish if she sees a good toe color for me. She doesn't really massage feet (Tanya does), but if I want a foot massage, I go downstairs or to Joy Foot spa. The full hour is making my feet look good. I honestly get complimented about my nails by strangers all the time- and it's just Marshmallow! When Vaida is on vacation I'm totally happy to go to any of the other ladies, but if I leave town, I just go bare. No one else touches my nails. I used to go to Sine Qua Non or Gordon for cut and color, but then I tried here to save the travel, and that was it. Maryna and Selena are great- today a makeup artist at BlueMercury asked where I get my hair done. Selena has my color looking like a dream, and Gail does my mothers hair better than her own place in Naples. LOVE this place! However, I was greeted very cordially and brought back to Tanya, who had a station in the back. Tanya was nice, no frills, and did my simple manicure professionally and quickly. The manicure was reasonably priced and I will come back if I can find an appointment that fits my schedule.

Don't let it scare you away! Inside Lift it is a hidden gem of a place. Bo took my appointments over the phone and couldn't have been nicer. What a friendly, kind soul he is. He greeted me at the door and introduced me first to Tina, who gave me the best facial experience I've ever had. She also did my eyebrows and lip. She used hot rocks for the massage part-- it was AMAZING! And the bed was heated, which on a cold day like yesterday, just felt heavenly. She was so thorough with the facial and took her time to tell me what she was doing each step of the way. This was my first facial in 10 years-- but I'll be back. What a treat, and very reasonably priced! Then I moved over to Jennifer, who took so much time listening to what I wanted to do with my cut and color. I'm currently in the mid-stages of letting my natural color (gray/ white) grow in, and I explained this to Jennifer. I took the blame because I didn't have pictures. This time I made appointment for consultation first, yes I had pictures. Danny cut my hair & I kept asking him about cutting shorter, especially around my ears. I had my hair colored & I dried it, because he was with a client. I loved the big change! I washed it and realized how long the sides & front are?! It looks nothing like the pictures. I tried to like it but it's terrible! I called to schedule a 'tweak' in with Danny. We wind up texting, on Mother's Day, him telling me what he can not do about my hair. Again, it looks nothing like the pictures I was told to bring. Further, why is a stylist able to blow up a holiday yet we can't text them. I'm extremely unhappy & I was just notified, by Elizabeth, the owner, that I won't be getting a refund. So now I have to pay someone else to look like the picture. Unbelievable! I hate my haircut!
