I went here to celebrate my birthday and had a blast! I love the aesthetic of the club. There were flashing lights, streamers blowing out every once in a while, along with smoke. I loved the little details too like the small fake candles decorating the flat surfaces. The dancers were cool and playful. They let my friend dance on stage. They really got the club going. Surprisingly, with everything going on, it was not hard to breathe and I wasn't feeling stuffy or hot although I danced the night away. The service was patient and quick, but the quality of the drinks were not affected. All the drinks I've had were well made and tasted like they had the perfect amount of liquor in them, not too sweet but not too strong. I love the look of the glasses they came in too. I expected plastic cups or just a regular glass cup at most since it was a club, but they really put effort into the aesthetics of the drinks as well. The DJ was lit! I loved how he not only played music that was popular right now, but he also threw in some songs from different cultures and played some throwbacks. It was a set made where there was at least a song or two for everyone to like, and luckily, I liked every song he played. I had a section and the seating was comfortable. Along with the club, it looked nice. The only thing that bothered me was that it was by the door, so it was hard to dance with people coming in and out a lot. But I wouldn't go to the dance floor either, people were crammed like sardines. Besides the size and layout of the club, overall, I really enjoyed myself and will definitely come back. All of my Yelp Elites know that on top of CA-ing for Yelp, I spent my days being a bar rep for eons and THIS PLACE is where we always got our late night fuel. Seriously, the specials they run here are insane (like, the quality is out of this world and on a spaceship). 'Twas crazy to me to find gourmet grub at a nightclub --but here it is! I even found myself attracted to this place on my nights off. Have you seen the crowd?! THIS is where the beautiful people are. Young, flirty, and dynamic crowd ready to party. The energy in this place is INSANE, whether you're here on a Thursday or a Saturday. Also, I've found that this is the most jumpin' spot on a Monday (yeah, Monday's are partying?!). The Pork Chop special (Sunday/Monday) and the Prime Rib Special are AMAZING --action-packed with flavor in every bite. And they have AYCE Crab Legs & Shrimp on Thursday (my faaaaave) and it's significantly cheaper than Captain George's up the road. Bravo! I have been to this bar a couple of times and each time has been a different but not good experience. It is small and overcrowded on the weekends 9 times out of 10. The bar tenders are friendly but the drinks are overpriced for what they are & not strong enough unless you order doubles. When I went last Friday night, I had ordered drinks from one of the girls walking around that worked there. Then when I went up to the bar, they started a new tab, which is fine but no one told me I had two separate tabs. I ended up closing out one tab but then accidentally left my card on the bar top upon leaving. When I went back a couple days later, the daytime bartender was extremely rude to me and seemed upset that I didn't close my second tab. I told him I wasn't from VB & didn't understand how the "two different tabs thing" worked there and he just ran my card, gave me a receipt that didn't let me add a tip, and walked away from me as if he wanted me to leave. I wouldn't go back to this bar simply because of the staff! read more

I was very surprised to see the negative reviews. I saw all colors of the rainbow in there on a Friday night and an array of how people were dressed. Some in jeans, some a bit more classy. I did see reserved seating for some of the tables for birthdays, but that is not at all uncommon! The music playing was a great dance mix and was not overly loud. You didn't need to shout to have a conversation. The booths are very cozy for larger groups. Since there were only two of us, we opted to sit at the coffin shaped bar in the middle. There was a very diverse crowd sitting at that "table". We were greeted by the waitress and we ordered our drinks. The menu looked pretty standard for a bar menu. I ordered the steak wrap with Mac and cheese. The steak was perfectly cooked and was very tasty. It was a higher quality than I was expecting! The mac and cheese was surprisingly amazing! The cheese was so gooey and worked so well! My friend got the tuna bites and he loved them. The waitress was a little too interested in my friend and every time we were speaking or he touched me, she was there immediately to interrupt. It seemed like a coincidence at first, but we found it funny to play the game and noticed it each time. She was a good waitress at first, but after the crowd started to pick up a little, we were a bit neglected. There was a gentleman that was there immediately to take our drinks and bring us new. Then after waiting for almost a hour, we were told it was over capacity and now we needed to be on the guest list, mind you we were on a list because we were invited by a one of our friends who was playing that night , but ended up missing his set due to the apparent racism! Not really into loud cramped up bars but I actually had a great time here on Saturday night. We came to celebrate my husbands birthday along with a good friends birthday. My friend called in ahead of time so we got two tables, balloons and cupcakes (all courtesy of Venue). I thought that was super sweet of them to do that for birthdays. There were actually alot of birthdays there that night. There is a seperate room that was smoking. It was occupied with a private party when we got there around 8:30pm. I read other peoples encounter with racism. I was there were a group of different nationalities and didn't have any issues. Everyone from the bouncer, to bartender to waitresses were all nice. Alot of our friends smoke/vape so we eventually moved into the smoking section once it was opened. My friends and I had a great time! Yes, it was super packed but I never had an issue waiting in line for the bathroom nor waiting for a drink. Service was top notch! read more

Pretty casual as far as their dress code. We come here often on Monday ( shoutout to Ryan), which happens to be college night. Sometimes it's packed sometimes it's not, but the drinks are pretty reasonable. It's also nice to be able to go out and dance comfortably because the bartenders and bouncers do a great job of making sure the creepers don't linger. I have never ate food there before, not counting 2am Mac and cheese bites which are awesome! However, yesterday we decided to stop by for dinner ($12.99 Ribeye meal with two sides) and let me telllll you! Everything from the presentation to the taste was amazing! It's also a taco night~ But really, the charm of this place is N64 games set-up: Smash on one side and Mario Kart on the other. I wasn't really... around for N64, but I love the console regardless. Man, do those joy sticks do work on your thumbs though. It's awesome. Get drunk. Play games. There's also robot boxing available! Another thumb-heavy game, lol. Connect Four is set up, and it's a quick round of a 1 v 1 if you want bragging rights against your friend(s) for the night. Cards Against Humanity with expansions are available, and that game is hilarious. Operation is missing some pieces, but it's still difficult af. Jenga is the best group game to play drunk, often with the rules of "loser takes a shot." The bartender that's been there the past couple times is awesome! He tries to remember your order, and he's super accommodating! He's quick and friendly. Even if you wanted to enjoy happy hour alone and watch some TV, this is the guy you want behind the bar. I'm sorry, I like watching females dance just as much as the next guy but when you have 12 men surrounding 3 girls on the island bar like starving dogs waiting for a treat. It's not appealing. The bar keep charged me for a drink I never ordered when I complained about the mistake he made I was given a rude look and was forced to wait 10 minutes just to receive a new bill. Had a friend go there last night. When he left he forgot his credit/debit card with the bartender so he went back to get it. They would NOT let him in, even after repeated attempts to get his card. This is a very racist spot. For some reason my friends are gluttons for punishment and keep trying to go there. We have gotten in 5 times out of over 30 attempts. We get turned away immediately due to some imaginary guest list while we get to watch white people stroll right in. I hate this place. Once inside though the service from the waitresses/beer girls was above average and the food I tried there was very good. I did like that you could see into the open kitchen in the back area where the restrooms are located. The atmosphere was fun and the DJ played typical top twenty song mixes. Go here only if- You are all about tribal tattoos and back tattoos. You really miss going to frat parties. You don't want to hear anything your friends have to say over the loud music. You don't mind seeing ugly people and pretty people shaking ass at each other. You like ridiculously strong drinks. (I'm pretty sure their mixers are nothing more than food coloring.) You are unafraid of packs of overly-muscled guys clad in Tap-Out or Ed Hardy muscle shirts that give you and everyone you came with the once over that says, "I will either fight you or f*ck you. And it makes no difference to me which one it will be." You want to pretend that you got invited to a very rich celebrity's living room and want to throw down like a rock star. (And really, this place feels as big as a living room.) You like seeing side-boob and bottom-buttcheek. When you're here you will see both on men as well as women. You are a lonely soul that really wants to meet your soul mate. If only the world can see past the outward appearances and facades that we all put on as armor to shield us from the rest of the world. Upon our first and only visit to Venue 112, we personally renamed it A**, due to the incredible amount of booties that were shaken in my boyfriends face. Honestly, this isn't a horrible location. The drinks were decent and strong, but a bit on the pricy side ($4.25 for a Yuengling? I mean come on.) The atmosphere was absolutely high energy, and I could see myself having a great time if I were single, looking to be hit on, and very drunk. However, being NONE of the above, the experience was strange. The floor was so sticky that each step resulted in the bottom of my shoes getting stuck to the floor. It was interesting to see the girls dancing on the bar, something that we don't really have close to home. It was uncomfortable to watch the men standing around the bar, drooling at the women twerking up in the air (which they were actually exceptionally good at, they must go here a lot). We agreed that for a sports bar, the side booths with the low and central TV would be an incredible place to watch a game with a group of friends- but when there isn't a game on, it is difficult to see the TV through the legs of the girls dancing on the table. Or maybe it's the same when there is a game on, which would be annoying. You definitely need to be a club enjoyer to have a good time at this location. The music was CRAZY loud (we could hear it in the car when we were pulling in to the parking lot). I would have rated it three stars if the drinks weren't so expensive. But they were. So it gets two. I think the only saving grace was our amazing waitress who was dressed appropriately (as opposed to another waitress who was wearing a neon green fishnet shirt with a bikini bottom), and was extremely attentive and ALMOST apologetic about the atmosphere. read more

This review is a little late but I went here with a few of my friends in January and as much as I hate to say it but it was absolutely terrible. Our waitress didn't acknowledge our presence for about 10mins after we had sat down (whatever, no big deal) she took our drink orders and within 10mins we had our drinks. The downside came when we ordered our food. It took forever to come, 20mins at least. To add insult to injury our waitress neglected to bring us silverware even after she brought the food (by now we've been sitting for 40mins at least.) While waiting for silverware we ordered another round of drinks. I realize finding a bar that actually serves strong mixed drinks is usually awesome however, I ordered another of the same drink (can't recall the name of it) and it was SO strong I couldn't even drink it. NO ONE in our group of 5 could. The drink was something like $8 and it was a total waste. The bartender probably could have made 2 or 3 drinks out of my 1 drink. As far as the food goes we ordered the she crab soup, crap mac n' cheese, calamari, and a regular burger. Supposedly the burger was good BUT the crab mac n' cheese had SOOOOOO many shells we couldn't even eat it. It was in fact the worst thing I have ever experienced when it comes to food. I realize bar food isn't exactly 5 star quality usually but really? There were more shells than crab meat. The worst part was that our waitress never returned for us to even complain. Well...a planned night to just chill at a bar and sip on a few drinks turned into one of hell of a buzz. My buddy and I were searching for a new hang out a few Fridays ago and decided to give this place a shot. I really like this place but just have been too busy to come back to hang out. For starters they have a separate room for smokers. In seeing this my buddy and I planned to puff on our cigars but got so into the bar scene we hung out all night. They had a DJ playing some kick ass remixes. There were a few TV screens around the bar that allowed us to keep up with what was going on in the sports world. Drinks were pretty strong (attributing to my buzz). The place gives off a good party roll with your entourage feel. Instead of confetti being tossed into the air they use napkins. Apparently napkins are cheaper than confetti. When you walk into the joint there are two separate "VIP" like areas that are good for groups. If you're into people watching patrons will get up on the table and dance. They do serve food but we didn't eat so I'll have to give that a try later. I always enjoy hanging out here for a few reasons: the drinks are strong and not overpriced; the food is excellent; separate smoking room so people don't hang around and clog up the entrance; hookah options are pretty darn good; clean bathrooms; and watching the karaoke is super entertaining. The waitresses look a bit slutty, but I think that's part of the appeal to the dude crowd, along with the football on TV. Weren't really sure what to think of the place, but saw it on a Facebook group and decided to try it out. Best decision we've made in a LONG time! I've never written a review before, but it felt like we had to say something to get other people to try this place. Would go back for the customer service alone, but luckily the food was also incredible. We got the Carolina burger with Mac and cheese, Chesapeake burger with Mac and cheese bites, broccoli and cheese bites (our favorite of the bunch!), and two desserts. I didn't have a problem getting in, nor did I have to pay an entrance fee. I walked to the bouncer first instead of my husband who is Latino, and I am Asian. It was packed and small inside. Floors were sticky and it seemed really dirty. Drinks weren't strong or good. As soon as I walked in I looked to my left and saw a bunch of young white boys standing on top of the table or couches or whatever. I was so confused. There were also a bunch of guys standing around watching the couples dancing and other people. Y'all really came to watch people dance? So weird. They had a small connecting room with no door that was apparently the smoking room. Since there's no door, the entire place reeked of cigarette smoke. The place had potential but there was so many weird people inside. There was a mixture of military guys, young wannabe white boys, and ghetto thugs. The whole experience was weird.
