They decided to go towards a secluded road off the fwy to gas's up, look for shade and rest when they came across this spot. I asked my husband how his overall trip was and the first thing he mentioned was this family owned spot. I had to research and we found the spot as he couldn't remember the name. Personally I would like to thank you for treating my husband and the rest of his buddies with no judgment. They all mentioned how extremely welcoming the owner and his family were. The husband and wife cooked up some delicious food and the son was cashiering. The place was clean, organized and felt comfortable like your at home. The little shop in the main building check in area was very cute and had a lot of fun things to look at and buy! We stayed one night in a tent camp spot. There are restrooms attached to the main building with showers, toilets, and sink/mirrors. There's also a dish washing space for longer stays. The camp site had decent shade and grass area to put your tent on. There were a couple picnic tables for use as well. There are free-roaming peacocks that are beautiful but are definitely loud in the morning! We went in July which is really hot for the hot springs, but it was nice since it wasn't busy! We had our soak time from 8-10pm which was great to view the sunset and soak while the air cooled off. It's such a unique hot spring location with bathtubs and larger pools. The owner walked around and made sure everyone was comfortable and was super friendly. I liked that they weren't sulfur hot springs so you didn't stink after! The negative reviews here seem like they didn't read the website that explained what to expect. I appreciate the websites honesty in keeping this location rustic and authentic, while acknowledging there are things they could improve. Knowing you're not going to a five-star location would be beneficial. The small business aspect played a huge role, in having great hospitality and a very friendly atmosphere. There are no sit down restaurants left after Covid and pickings are pretty slim even fir takeout. Luckily there is the Bowery Haven Snack shop. What to like: fresh faced young people taking your order and handing it to you directly when it's done. Most of these folks are college kids from local schools up for the summer to work. Remember that when you tip! They all seem very happy. Burgers. A variety of burgers freshly made to order on a tasty fresh bun. Fries cooked in beef tallow. You can substitute macaroni salad but the fries...Remember how great these were back in the day? They also have a good chicken strip dinner and fish n chips. They have salads as well. Not to miss is their delicious lemonade is multiple flavors and fountain drinks. Top everything off with hand scooped ice cream and believe me the scoops are very generous. The only downside is that everything is a little pricey. However when you consider any alternative is 45 minutes away and the great people, it seems worth it. Plenty of parking and lots of nice souvenirs and fishlake clothes to browse while you wait. Highly recommended.

I love Ali's touch, she has thoughtfully remodeled this Inn and added such personal & artistic flair throughout the Inn & Cafe. Ali remembered I wasn't fond of lights at night & unplugged the ones in backyard. Dan is the man who seems to excel at everything including cooking! The Inn was exactly what we were looking for to recharge and reconnect outside of the big city. The Innkeeper is so wonderful and hospitable, we loved all of the little touches-everywhere from the garden to the shower curtain. There is also a stellar little diner attached to the Inn. We found the chef to be extremely passionate about his cooking and the labor of love that is the Monroe Inn. It seemed like everyone we encountered was passionate about the Inn and the beautiful little town. So many people were working together to make the Inn and its diner just the most relaxing, beautiful, and enjoyable experience. We fell in love with this sleepy little town and can't wait to go back.

I was on vacation in Utah and my…read moreplan was to go to four of the Big 5 national parks on my way to Capitol Reef my car broke down and luckily I was able to get it to the mechanic and the part isn't going to be available until Wednesday so I was pretty much stranded in Loa. I had to figure out how to get back to Vegas where I live and there are wildfires in the area so a lot of the firefighters have rental cars in the area and it's not a populated area at all. He really went out of his way to help me and get me as quickly as possible because he had to drive me from Loa to Saint George. That is a four hour drive. They charged two dollars a mile. It ended up being $400. Well, he was helping me. He also helped two other ladies on short little trips that they needed help with I did not mind going on side quests with him. We stopped off at a gas station so I can get some road snacks and he asked me if he could go help the other lady and he was gone for about 10 minutes. While I was riding with him, he got a lot of different calls and he's so incredibly helpful. This area is so lucky to have him and I feel like he's just goes out of his way to be so helpful to people and I cannot say enough nice things about him. I will be using him again when I have to go pick up my car next week. I really feel like this was my best most economical option. I did look into Aaa and having my car towed from Loa to Vegas where I live and that would've definitely been $1000-1300. If I could even find a tow truck driver who would be able to help me in that area and a lot of times I have found you can't ride along with them. So anyway I picked the option that worked best for me.
