Short Version: Bumpy start, insurance hurdles, problematic parts situation, disappointment,…read moreresolution but ultimately complete satisfaction. I had reservations through the process, but Rick is a stand up and honest guy. One of those real people you don't meet very often. Maybe a little rough around the edges but he will work diligently to help you find a way to resolve problems that arise. I mean if you ever owned and RV you know, if you are just getting into the game he can help. He has experience and knowledge and is willing to work through problems. It took some time, but he earned my trust and confidence. I'd go to Rick and Tri County RV anytime. It's great to have an owner operated business this dependable in Ventura and provides great value for the community. Longer Version: Rick and I had a bumpy road. Dealing with insurance, manufacturers, custom parts and a comic cascade of communication which went best in person, second best via direct email and off the rails a little with phone or disparate emails with third parties. However, Rick hung in there and while I sometimes may appear unreasonable, I'm not. I'm often just too curious for my own good. Yet in this situation because of Rick's tenacity and desire for customer satisfaction we got there. Rick came up with an unconventional way to provide the desired outcome, and I hope his shop is still around should I need any work on my RV in years to come.

Noei was the salesman who helped us, and he was extremely efficient, quick, and knowledgeable. He handled everything professionally and kept us updated throughout the process. We have a class a motorhome that we wanted to trade in. At first dealing with the sales person,…read morethey were all gung ho to purchase our class a motorhome because it had very low mileage and was in great shape. We had one request that they limit the driving of third-party people in the motorhome to ensure that it does not break as soon as we requested that their manager called and said we do not want to take your motor motorhome. because we don't want the responsibility if somebody test drives it and they break it and we have to return it broken. That's not our responsibility. The whole thing seemed like a sham the sales person wanted to take the motorhome. We were offering at a very low price below wholesale so they could make a profit and simply because we were reluctant about how they handled test drives. Their manager, came in and refused to accept the motorhome. That tells us that there's something fishy or smelly going on at this particular Ventura RV motorhome, and therefore we would not recommend it based on our personal experience and our personal interaction that we had with the variety of people at their facility

My two brothers and I spent the long Thanksgiving weekend in Solvang and decided to end our trip…read morewith an ATV tour in the Santa Barbara mountains before heading back to L.A. Best decision ever! Although getting to the meeting point was a bit scary as we drove 15 mph through winding roads next to steep cliffs, the views were nice and the ATV experience was totally worth it! We gave ourselves plenty of time to get lost and it took us about 1.5 hours to get to the checkpoint. Luckily Google Maps was on the entire time and we even had an hour to kill on top of the mountain before our 12:30pm appointment. (Also had screenshots of the directions in case we lost service). Upon arrival, we met with the two girls who were wearing face masks and face shields so we felt safe. They had all the sanitizing stuff. They checked us all in, gave us each a mesh covering for our head, pairs of gloves, goggles and helmets. They offered different insurance plans (just like a rental car company), each ranging in price. Then, they walked us over to the ATVs where Jorge was our tour guide. He asked us if we've ever rode before and taught us how to use the automatic ATVs and made us feel comfortable and safe. (Throttle was on the right handle bar and brakes on the left. Second brake was a foot pedal). We drove on wide and narrow trails, over some fun rocky areas, kicking up lots of dust, and he took photos of us the entire time. This was a great family bonding experience and we're all still talking about how fun it was and want to do it again. Know Before You Go: It gets dusty so wear clothes and closed toe shoes that you're ok getting dirty. Give yourself plenty of time to drive to the location because the last thing you want to do is rush through the scary mountain roads. 10/10 would definitely do this again!

Everything functioned in the RV as advertised, and there were no issues that interrupted our drive or experience. The RV had 3 beds that were about full size each, but the kids primarily used the one in the back. We were able to connect their Playstation to the TV which made the kids (and I) especially happy. The RV did get warm from time to time considering we drove during a warm spell, so we just cooled it down with the generator before we started driving and then turned it off and used the main cabin vehicle AC to keep it cool so we didn't used much propane. The bathroom worked great, and the vents/ fans kept the bathroom and coach smelling normal. One of the very convenient amenities was having on-board WiFi which allowed the kids to have all the entertainment options they're normally used to at home. Also, Jane was great in giving me, a first-time RV driver/user, a thorough introduction to all the features and functionality of the RV. There are convenient QR codes throughout the RV that provide instructions on how to use everything. Well thought out. If I were to ask for any "nice to haves", I'd say maybe a little more engine power. The RV seems to be most comfortable between 60 and 70 mph, and you just have to be mindful during uphill climbs. Overall, it was a great experience that was relaxing and stress free for my kids, which is stress free for me. I'd recommend to friends or family. Thank you Chill RV for making my kids first long road trip a great experience.
