This campground really upheld its cleanliness; there wears no trash to be found around the area and I witnessed the bathrooms be cleaned every day. Thankfully, I also came on a not-so-busy weekend and had probably had 6-10 campsites between me and other campers so noise was not an issue nor was space. Also liked they had a small convenience store for food and other camping necessities. Other campers were so polite; employees seemed happy to be there and were kind to talk with. Not to mention, this place is close to Solvang! Perfect to explore! Downside was we couldn't swim in the lake... the entire reason I wanted to be near a lake but hey, I still had a great time. This is a campsite worth saving and I'm already wanting to plan another weekend here

We always wanted to return so we were happy we got a site for our road trip this year. When we made our reservations for our recent trip, I could not find anything about those sites, and I really wanted to stay in those sites. Instead we got a full hookup spot in another area. Now this is a huge park, 500 spots all in very beautiful areas of the lake. But none have grass, just a lot of dirt and dead vegetation. It's really bad, we had dust storms every day, and our dog was covered in fox tails everytime we went out with him. Found out that they are rebuilding the sites in the area we were looking for, but those nice spots are not available as of this writing. The campground has a nice store (very expensive, but well stocked). There is also a Gas station and a restaurant, but we didn't use those. The rangers offer a boat ride around the lake. This is a Bald Eagle nesting area, and the rangers give a great tour looking for them. Near Solvang and the Santa Ynez valley, great stuff to see. Near Santa Barbara, which is a favorite of ours. All in all except for all the dirt and dust, beautiful location with lots to do. We camped at Cachuma Lake Recreation Area in a Travel Trailer.

Unless the parties, kids, and drunks are members of your group, anyway. This was the first time I've had a quiet night camping on Paradise Road unless it was during the winter with nobody else around. Wonderful! Our camp host was awesome, the restrooms were kept clean and fully stocked, and it was a great experience all the way around. Normally you have to cross over a stream to get to the campground, but at the moment it is bone dry. When there's enough water the stream is a great place for your kids to play.

We recently stayed in one of the group sites. We've camped here many years, many times, sometimes…read morein the Spring and sometimes in the Fall. Every year the campsite has been pristine. This year was the total opposite. It was like camping on a humungous red ant hill. Millions of biting red ants everywhere, along with millions of black ants. Then there were the millions of mosquitoes. I look like I am coming down with chicken pox or I'm breaking out in hives. Had to keep our dog in out RV. Couldn't let him lie anywhere. Then there were the filthy bathrooms. Gerry, the camp host, never cleaned them in the four days we were there. Oh, I almost forgot to write that Gerry told us that, in the past two weeks, he had caught about 25 Rattle Snakes!!! And you should have seen all the gopher holes, not just in the dirt but also on the campsite roads. Good size ones. Never will we ever camp there again. NEVER!! And neither should you.

Visited Paradise Campground with my family from Aug 9th to the 11th 2024. We reserved the group…read moresite #1 which allows 16 people and is pet friendly. That site is pretty big and has parking for 4 vehicles, It has two tables and two bbqs and a fire pit but no electricity. The water spigot is very close by and the ground is pretty flat except there was lots of gofers and small holes as well as lots of tiny flies and yellow jackets (bees) Camp host was very nice and informative, they have firewood for sale on site. No showers but very very clean restrooms. For swimming reference..there was water at White Rock day use but not as high (about knee high) as well as at First Crossing day use area which is where we went for the day, water level went up to our chest and well above 5ft. Area was fairly clean and accessible. Parking fee is $10 per vehicle at First Crossing and they accept credit cards and the walk from parking area down to where the swimming area was very easy and accessible. Road to Red Rock area was closed due to water level and they couldn't tell us when it will open. Cell phone service is not that great..seems ATT is the only carrier with pretty good reception coverage out there. All others were not great. The campground is fairly quiet and clean and secure. Nearest store is about 25 mins away outside of campground and up the mountain in to town. There was a meteor shower during our time there so we were able to enjoy seeing the Milky Way in its glory as well as many shooting stars. Over all a great time and we highly recommend this campground.

Jamie and Billy parked it with the "bedroom" window looking out over the cliff in the direction of the sunset, perfect! Lady Marmalade is adorable, clean, and perfectly appointed. So fun to spend lazy days on the beach and cozy evenings by the campfire in this vintage tiki themed trailer. Jamie and Billy are great hosts taking the hassle out of camping.

The Earl Warren Showgrounds is an event/festival space in Santa Barbara, a convention center of…read moresorts, sized for a small city. We went for a sea glass and ocean arts festival, then ended up visiting another (the other?) building, where there was a giant used book sale to benefit Planned Parenthood. Parking was free and easy on a Saturday morning with two events on the property, and there was enough signage to indicate where we should be going. The buildings were serviceable enough, not especially new or spiffy, but they were spacious and air conditioned. There were also several fans going in the book sale space, which is why we ended up there. Our four-year-old is a fan fanatic. It looks like the Earl Warren Showgrounds hosts the Santa Barbara Fair, as well as a horse show and rodeo and various other events. We spend a lot of time entertaining our children in town, so I'm sure we'll be back for something or another.

It's only one room of orchids . They sell 3 day passes but I can't imagine what you would do there for 3 days unless you were showing . It took us more time driving home than it did walking though the show and the vendors tent. The vendors tent had a lot of vendors but the lines were just so long to buy anything and Orchids are not an inexpensive hobby. I mostly kill mine so I didn't put out the big bucks they were asking for the same types you buy at TJ's for 19.99. we thought we might visit the nurseries post show and make purchases at the nursery . I purchased a potted cascading succulent and the blue sticker fell off somewhere . when we were leaving some kid made us walk back to the vendor and get another sticker. apparently they must have a lot of theft at this show , but a stupid blue sticker anyone can buy at staples sure isn't going to stop theft . I was more irked that some stupid kid assumed i was a thief. We paid $40 for entry and that should include something maybe orchid bulb or seedling? I won't waste the time or $ on this show again . I had a nice afternoon with my friend so that's what was important . I posted some pretty photos . enjoy
