Our home was built with the dryer vent running up the wall and out of the roof (not by choice). The vent cap screen on the roof got clogged with lint within a year, so I removed it. Needless to say birds built a nest inside, clogging the vent again. After numerous failed DIY attempts, I broke down and called Vent Pros. EXPERIENCE: I left a voicemail but didn't hear back from them, so I called again the next day during biz hours. Al, who I believe is the owner, answered. Very friendly guy. He got me set up for the same day which was great as our laundry was piling up! He and an associate arrived a bit earlier than promised, another plus. They removed the nest, cleaned the entire vent shaft and replaced the screen with one that has larger openings for the lint to exit more freely. Duration was a little over an hour. Thanks Al for your service. We had Al from Vent Pros come out to do a dryer vent cleaning for us. He and his team moved the dryer out of the way, cleaned the dust and water on the floor, alerted me to the standing water, did the cleaning from the inside. He told me that he could change the vent tube for a charge or inspect the vent tube by sending up his camera also for a charge. We declined but during the cleaning, he noticed water coming from the vent ducting and decided to use his camera. He did not charge me for it. He inspected the vent with his camera and told me that the vent was not exiting the roof. This is not good news for us. We told the Homeowner's Association. They inspected the attic and also sent a company to the roof to check the vent. They found that the vent was cleared and did exit the roof. Al also decided to replace the vent tube and not charge me. He said that it was easier for them to change it and try to reuse the original one. The original one was only one year old. We appreciate Al coming out with a short notice and also not to charge us for any of the extras he did, and also for alerting us to any potential problems. I've been a homeowner for a very long time and did not know to have my dryer vent cleaned on a regular basis! Now I'm talking about the long vent from garage to roof or wall - not the little one inside the dryer. So - as a result I almost burned my house down! I recently purchased my home and just replaced the dryer. The old dryer dried OK, but took too long. The new dryer sensed a vent restriction and shut down as a safety feature. When I reached into the vent duct and pulled out a handfuls of lint I knew I needed a professional to clean the 15feet of duct that was in an interior wall running to the roof. We have lived in our place here 6 years and never had the dryer vents cleaned! I knew it would help the life of the dryer, our energy costs, decrease drying time, and prevent a dryer/lint fire! Al came to our rescue on 4/5/19 after many phone calls that he promptly answered two weeks prior to our appointment while on his family vacation. That is one of the things that amazed me about this man. He came on time and was very courteous including all his employees . Everyone came in with booties and canvases to protect the flooring and carpet. Al explained the procedure thoroughly and even though I had a million questions was very patient with me. After they cleaned all the AC vents and the system in the attic he went to look at Central unit outside. Another part was necessary and he came back on Tuesday as promised. He truly was sincere in cleaning the air system in the home to allow us to breathe clean air.
