Had a great experience from scheduling, service and even billing. Their people were super efficient and I received several confirmation emails and text alerting me to our service appointment. The service tech was great and explained every step he was working on. Typically when I have had HVAC service in the past with other companies "something" is always broken and has to be replaced. My split ac unit stopped working and I couldn't figure out why. I tried calling Fujitsu to talk to their customer service to figure out what was wrong before looking for a technician. Unfortunately, it wasn't an easy fix and Fujitsu informed me I would need a technician to come look at my unit. That's when I turned to Yelp. I submitted a request and immediately got a response. The other competitors weren't response and follow thru was horrible. Victor came out, did a diagnostic and found 2 geckos had gotten fried in my power boards which also fried the other 2 boards. My air conditioner recently stopped working right before the weekend. I called 12 places and they were the most responsive. They let me know the after hours charge in advance as well. They let me know Victor would be arriving and tested me a photo in advance, which I appreciated! He found the cause of the malfunction quickly, and was able to replace the part! I was very happy! He also let me know how often to have the AC maintained, and came out recently for that. He was able to clearly show me with pics of the unit which parts could use replacing! Cooling installed my Daikin mini split systems in May. In November that same year, my units stopped working. Cooling came out and diagnosed the issue as a large leak (charged us $380). Cooling said they would need to get a replacement part and indicated it should be under warranty. They said it was back ordered 6-8 weeks. 6 weeks later I kept calling Cooling to get an update. The update was that there was no update. I kept calling, same answer until MARCH. They "finally" got the part and then installed it and charged over $1k. The repair did not fix the issue. They indicated there was an entirely new bill of repairs needed with a quote of over $3k. I asked them to submit the entire condenser under warranty and get a whole new one since the equipment wasn't even a year old yet. Cooling automatically said Daikin wouldn't declare this a lemon until we exhausted all options, and indicated they wouldn't submit the warranty. I didn't believe that answer, so I called Daikin myself. Daikin indicated the installer (Cooling) likely did not install it correctly, and given all the issues they quickly shipped out an entirely new condenser. Cooling installed it (at no cost because they know they screwed up) but said they no longer wanted to do business with us after that. We still have had so many issues to this day, all due to a poor install. I would not waste your money with Cooling because it will just end up costing you more. They don't stand by their business and mistakes. read more

We bought a new home in February and the central AC system was on its last legs. Kodie helped me schedule an appointment very quickly. Diego arrived on time and was very knowledgeable. He came up with cost-effective ways to get the two AC systems back up and running without having to purchase two brand new systems. Diego was also very friendly and cleaned up after himself every step along the way. Though I know the day will come that I will have to bite the bullet and buy two new systems, I really appreciate him coming up with ways to postpone that day while getting us through the hot days. Cooling Hawaii sent their techniciansover to assess the situation. They diagnosed the problem and were able to fix it. Alex is awesome. We were looking for an A/C service we could trust. Called and left a voicemail. Alex promptly called me back, quoted me a bid, and scheduled an appt. with Robert, one of their technicians. (It took the two other companies I called for bids more than two days to return my call). Cooling HI uses a convenient texting service that notifies you when the technician is on the way and the estimated time of arrival. Robert showed and he clearly knows his stuff.
