I had to find a place for coffee/work after Roggenart closed.. (boo..) so wanted to check this place out. People were right.. it is a bit hard to find this place but there's a sign on your right if you're coming from 41st street. It's right next to the bridge so do pay attention. As for ambience, it's rustic and airy. The chairs aren't too comfortable for a long time stay but generally acceptable to get some things done. There are people who come and go so definitely seems like a hub for coffee/breaksfast spot. Free parking, clean bathrooms right next to the area. Many families with children stop by. Variety of customers ranging from people coming after a yoga class, girls for a little chat, young professionals (for work or.. web surfing), older folks for morning coffee come by.. As for coffee, price is fair. I had the drip coffee which was flavorful (berry flavor and great scent) without feeling too strong (I usually get GI distress with strong coffee so this was good!). free water on the side! Just had a great workout at Earth Treks and then decided to come here to grab a coffee, eat some lunch (which I packed) and hangout. The vibe in here is amazing. It really is a great place to hangout. I'm not the type of person to come out of my way for a coffee, so I'll say if you are around this location, aka, going to earth treks or to the brewery next door, definitely stop by for a coffee. Quick visit, quick review! Cool industrial décor. The coffee itself that I had was good, not the best ever, but I have to tell you about the baklava. Absolutely incredible. Get it. It was the best I've had in a very long time. Baklava is a Greek dessert, very classic. I lived in Greece for a year and a half and this version is truly wonderful. Get it! Flaky phyllo dough, many layers of it. The filling was beautifully flavored with just the right amount of cinnamon. The amount of honey was perfect. The whole thing felt nice and light. Wonderful. Cool and modern coffee shop in Hampden. It's in the middle of nowhere but is in section with a number of offerings (rock climbing gym, brewery). The inside is very calming and bright. I got a chai latte with macadamia milk and my boyfriend got a drip. We were both very happy with our drinks. The best part was the espresso chocolate chip we impulse bought. It was toasty, chocolate-y and chewy; all the best qualities a chocolate chip cookie can have. Their menu is pretty extensive so I'll definitely visit this shop again if I'm in the area! read more

Found this toaster cross-referenced with a collaboration roast they did with Fearless for their June special, "Devine Bovine." We tried their espresso and cold brew drinks, flat white was solid. The cardamom syrup in the cold brew was perfect with 2-pumps. Very mellow and open place to hang and get some work done. My partner found their CBD product to be worth trying out. Their featured dish was a noodle salad they was 4$ and hit the spot for a lunch snack. We really enjoyed our visit, they have an awesome operation here and we are considering one of their coffee subscriptions, so would love to here about anyone's experience with that so far. read more

This place is located in a strip of local businesses down a hill that you will wonder where your GPS is taking you. There is free parking that's pretty easy to snag a spot. I had a maple macadamia nut latte (the maple is a seasonal option). There ONLY milk alternative was macadamia nut milk, which I thought was a little weird considering if someone has a nut allergy the odds of being lactose intolerance as well is probably pretty high (also, I'm very partial to oat milk). Also, this place takes coffee seriously so don't be surprised when you have to wait a bit for your handcrafted beverage. I waited around 10 minutes for my drink. Despite the lack of milk alternatives and the wait time, I have to say this was one of the best maple lattes I've had. The espresso has an extremely smooth taste to it, and the maple had flavor that was present but wasn't obnoxiously sweet or overpowering. I will definitely be returning for a delicious beverage. They have plenty of seating so you can stay and chat for a while or get some work done while you're there. read more

Very interesting setup with a large section of the space dedicated to ?the production of the coffee, and only a few tables for seating. It's very unique but tbh I'm not a huge fan of the use of the space. The lack of tables, garage door and lack of windows makes the space feel very claustrophobic and not very warm. I usually go to coffee shops to sit and relax with friends (or on my own) but I don't think I would do that here. However 4-stars still because the latte was good, and I'm looking forward to try their variety of vegan desserts the next time I'm in the area. I took my latte to the climbing gym which worked out great, so will probably do that again. read more

Don't skip the vegan donuts! I didn't have a chance to try their coffee, but after reading some of the reviews on here, it's on my list to go back. I was drawn in by their "vegan donuts" signs posted around Union Collective and had to stop in to try one. Good marking. They had a chai glazed donut that was calling my name. It ran me more than $3 but it was SO worth it. No wonder why there were only a few left. It was fluffy, sugary, and reminded me of Krispy cream (but better because VEGAN!) The atmosphere inside is cute and casual. It was pretty empty on a Friday night but I could see coming here during the day to work on my laptop or meet some friends. Their prices were pretty standard for a coffee shop, pretty similar to Saxby's. Their staff was also super nice, accommodating, and friendly. I know where I'm having my next coffee date! read more

Overpriced yes, but the coffees are really great for once in a while treating yourself. They have some pastries too, I have tried the butter cookies and they are so delicious. I never had any food there but they do have a diverse food menu. This place is right next to the Hamden earth trek and open early that one can finish their morning work out with a cup of their amazing coffee. I have had their drip coffee (which is as great as pour overs of many other coffee shops), and corteda that was fantastic. Lastly they also have option of adding cbd oil to your coffee which makes the experience of caffein high so much smoother and better. I have also been happy with customer service even though i go there as early as 7am and that's when most people are cranky, but their wonderful barista is also patient and just gives off a genuine and sweet vibes. My suggestion for this place would be giving stickers to Customers for free bc they are so cute and are advertisement for them as well. read more

Coffee is my last drug; I take it seriously. So seriously, that I use a semi-colon whenever I write about it. Vent is a place you will love or hate -- the coffee tastes a lot like Counter Culture coffee that Atwater's brews -- both leave me with a little 'ick' grimace after each swallow. But people love Vent and love Atwater's. If u love really strong coffee, Vent might not be your thing. At least at Atwater's u can wash the bad coffee down with a bitchin' piece of carrot cake. Vent coffee looks really pretty but I was worried at first that my specialty coffee came in such a small glass cup -- like a large shot glass. My girlfriend and I decided to stop by here after being at Union last night and walking by the shops in the Union Collective. We love cute coffee shops, so this peaked our interest. The ambiance and decoration were nice, however the staff and coffee was just okay. She got an iced latte and I got a cascara iced tea. Her iced latte was pretty milky and didn't have much distinct flavor. My cascara iced tea was interesting- I had never tried one before so don't have much to compare it to. The staff member that took our order seemed pretty unenthused and apathetic. Overall, we would describe the experience as "meh." read more

Bought the drip coffee (Colombian blend, medium roast) really nicely done; also bought a bag of peaberry blend, will see how that works as at-home pour-over coffee. The beans here are great, and I often get them to brew at home. Vent certainly has potential. I find their espresso drinks inconsistent, in temperature and texture. I've only been disappointed by their specialty drinks - for example, their chai and iced espresso drinks. The real kicker for me though is a particular sales person, whom I always experience as condescending (though others have always been friendly). I just don't want to deal with her! I hope as time goes by they'll improve their consistency and their speciality recipes, and certain staff members will improve their customer service! read more

Hard to beat the quality of coffee in Baltimore. People are friendly and personable. Particularly a fan of their Papua-New Guinea Blend.

When traveling to new places, I try to find the best coffee. I may have found Baltimore's, and on the first day, no less! Vent Coffee Roasters pulled me a great latte--smooth and flavorful. Impeccable coffee in a cool new area. Cute-industrial decor with string lights and tables arranged around the roaster. A great and always changing variety of beans served in pourover, aeropress, cold brew, nitro (served in fancy stemmed glasses!), your standard espresso menu, tea, cascara, and a unique assortment of sweets and real food (including kid-friendly options like breakfast cereal, what!!). I'm a big fan of cold brew, any season, and this is the first and only place I've been that offers multiple varieties of cold brew---and they're fabulous!! Definitely best cold brew I've ever had. I've only had the pourover once but it was also dreamy. The service is great and the space hosts a very cool assortment of community events in the evening (check FB). Next to a bouldering gym, ice cream factory, distillery, and brewery, all fantastic in their own respects. Parking is easy; when the lot fills up due to events at the brewery people just get creative (which... is hilarious). read more
