Recently decided to treat myself to a pedicure and stumbled upon Venice Nails! I got the second pedicure package (Venice Day Spa Pedi) and it was so relaxing and nice! :) The first thing I did was choose my nail color at the nail polish wall near the entrance. I was stuck between three, but quickly decided on a sweet shade of pink for spring. Tina was my gal! She was so sweet, kind, and professional. She was very meticulous when it came to applying the polish--protective base, double coat of chosen nail polish, finishing with the top coat. Update on my original post, it was a great service with some good vibes aside the rude client demanding that my nail tech assist her with picking out colors while I was already in my seat waiting I get it "customers always right" but it was not my nail techs fault that her nail tech was not available yet for the appointment she had set ( I legit had to tell the client that there was no reason for her to start getting loud when OBVIOUSLY I was here before her). Secondly I specifically stated I wanted my pedi to be white with glitter as long as the base color was white I'd be happy,but as soon as I was done getting my mani I looked down and notice a clear base with glitter did not look like a white base at all even the girl doing my pedi was stating that was not correct and Nick had stated wait for the second coat ‍‍‍ second coat came and still the same(and to top it off it was GEL so definatly didnt feel like spendinganothe 30 mins to change the color), Pretty upset because my pedi is AWESOME I absolutely love the way it came out the girl that did them was awesome I wish I could rember her name I believe it starts woth an "L". Finally decided to try this salon out after my friend continued to rave about Tan doing some fancy Pinterest level nails. I was lucky to get his chair, towards the end of the day. I showed him a reference of what I wanted and he took artistic liberty in making it fabulous. Instead of just using a black sparkly nexgen powder for the accent nails, he went with jewels and swavorsky crystals, which make them super gorgeous. He took his time and made sure everything looked perfect. You can tell he loves his craft. (Heads up: you get points for paying in cash. I am not sure what all the recent negative reviews are about. I have been coming to this salon for awhile and I have had nothing but amazing service. Tan, the manager, is an AMAZING nail artist. I always bring my little girl with me and they put her up in her pedicure chair with a giant teddy bear. They're incredibly patient with her considering she usually wants every nail a different color with sparkles put over it. As for me, I have had some TERRIBLE experiences at nail salons which my Yelp history will support. Tan has even fixed the mistake of other salons for me because I was too impatient to make the drive to him. I am to the point that I drive over 25 minutes in traffic to come to Venice nails just so I know as a fact I will get the best service and no one will hurt me. They have made accommodations to see me after work when I'm going to be late and press into their closing time. Tan even did my nails for my wedding! He came recommended by friends who had some awesome nails all the time. Some of them are incredibly picky about nail salons and were making the extra drive to get here so I trusted their recommendation and have not been disappointed. I have never seen anyone working at Venice disrespecting a customer in this building even when I personally would have snapped at them for being so rude to some of the techs. Some of these women are incredibly dramatic and seem to be looking for something to complain about. They are wonderful to me and I have had several different techs. I am picky about having my pedicure water hot enough, my stones hot enough, so on and so forth, they always accommodate me with a smile. The coupon clearly stated "$5 off services of $35 or more" I purchased $48 dollars in service and they said one service had to be $35 or more.
