However, I was pleasantly surprised when the service far exceeded my expectations! Waxorsugarme is located inside the City Salon Suites off of Knoll Trail and Arapaho. There is ample outdoor parking and it's easy to find. The suite Waxorsugarme occupies is toward the back of the building. Before showing up, I booked online where a deposit was required. Now, I'm totally happy to pay this and am respectful of their late policy. These are professionals and it makes complete sense that they have stringent policies for arrival windows. I had seen some people gripe about this, but please put yourself in the shoes of someone running a business like this- it's not fair to expect them move around other appointments to accommodate. The waxing itself was a pleasant experience. Yes- waxing hurts, but in the hands of the right professional, they can really help with alleviating some of that through great conversation. Fabiola was really good at keeping the conversation going and providing lots of knowledge on waxing upkeep best practices. I also want to mention that my first time here was on Halloween, so Fabiola was dressed as Chucky from the Child's Play movies, which was an absolute gas! I knew from the moment I met her, she was going to be awesome! She was so funny and personable, her demeanor put me at ease immediately. The end result was I got the best waxing I ever had. No hair was left behind and a few weeks out, I can say that I didn't have any ingrown hairs or irritation. I also purchased a ph balanced bath wash from Fabiola to ensure no irritation, and it was worth it. I have been to many different nail shops some were very expensive but was never really satisfied with the quality of the work. My desire to search for a shop that I can always trust to do a good have been a long time homework for me. However, when I walked into the store last week, it was under new management. Sylvia, the new owner, told me that she had bought the shop and really cleaned up the shop and changed it to a new shop. She told me that there is going to be even more changes to come. She seemed excited to be the new owner of the shop and showed her passion for her job. I got my pedicure and nails done and the quality was just outstanding. I think I was really happy and satisfied of the job for the first time. She really knew what she was doing and she had the talent to get the job done so beautifully. I can tell if someone is just doing it for a job or if they really enjoy what they are doing. I think I was so excited that I finally found what I was looking for a long time that I have made my next appointment already. Oh and I also bought some earrings and necklace there and got so much complements on them. I highly recommend this shop to all the people who are looking for quality job at great price with great service. Words will not do much, just go for it yourself. read more

Me and my wife came here and now we know why all the good ratings come from. It's clean, and all the staff is nice unlike any other place that we have visited. They did not look like they were in a hurry to get more customers, even though there were people waiting. (some places fight for customers in other languages in which i do not understand) Lady named Jane did my wife's nails and the design and service was great, my wife also loved it. Not to mention that we came in kind of late, making her stay over 45 min. after closing time. Most places don't take you if it takes that long to finish. But in the end, we all left with a smile! We would be back for sure! read more

When I initially came in, I explained that my natural nails were weak and fragile and that I thought the builder gel should be removed. The technicians assured me that reapplying builder gel would help reinforce and strengthen the structure of my nails. I obliged because they are the professionals, and I trusted their expertise. Unfortunately, that same day, one of my nails cracked and I returned to have it repaired. The following day, a different nail split, so I returned again. This is where my experience became unacceptable. I was seated with a male technician who asked me, "What do you want me to do about it?" Since I am not a nail professional, I began explaining the series of events so he could understand why I was back for a second repair and determine the best solution. Before I could even finish, he cut me off and said, "This doesn't have anything to do with me." I was confused because I had never blamed him, he hadn't even done my original nails. I told him I was simply explaining what happened so he could understand the situation. He then became extremely reactive, abruptly stood up, refused to work on me, became animated with his hands and body, pushed the chair in hard enough that it hit my knee, and said he wasn't "doing this" with me and someone else would have to service me. I was too stunned to speak. All this for answering the question HE asked me. As a woman, having a male employee suddenly become verbally and physically aggressive toward me while I was seated made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. If you are going to employ a man in an environment predominantly serving women, he needs to be able to regulate his emotions and communicate professionally without becoming physically intimidating when there is a simple misunderstanding.
